    Ingram Micro onboards Naved Chaudhary as India marketing head

    Mumbai: Ingram Micro, one of the leading providers of global technology and supply chain services and solutions, has announced a leadership change in its marketing organisation in India and brought on board Naved Chaudhary as marketing head for India operations, effective 1 November. 

    Chaudhary brings a rich experience of over 20 years spanning multiple assignments in marketing communications and brand management and has proven his versatility in managing diverse businesses. 

    He is currently working as marketing operations head at Ingram Micro. He moves up the ladder and takes over this role from Sailajanandan Nayak (SN), who has joined the global marketing team as the APAC head of modern marketing. 

    In his new role, SN will focus on growing the technology solutions business through innovative content and impactful digital marketing initiatives. Most recently, SN headed marketing efforts in India where he was instrumental in unifying the marketing teams across different business units into a full-stack internal marketing organisation, said the company in a statement.

    Prior to joining Ingram in 2012, Chaudhary has worked with brands like Luminous, Wynncom, Hamdard, DS Group. He has considerable expertise in launching new products and building teams from scratch.

    Commenting on the development, Chaudhary said that he is looking forward to the new assignment and would make sure to carry the good work done in the area of marketing. “New-age solutions would be high on the agenda apart from being more relevant to the industry and channel. 2022 would be a year to look forward to new innovations and activations,” he added.

    Mumbai: Krishnan Kutty is named as executive vice president and head of Tamil, Malayalam and Marathi (TV and OTT) at Star and Disney India. He was previously the business head for Star Vijay.

    Kutty is an experienced media professional who has been in the industry for 22 years out of which 16 years were spent with Star TV Network. He previously had stints with Mindshare, NDTV and Hutch before joining Star in 2005 as vice president – research and on air. While he was heading Star India’s Tamil language business, he was responsible for growing market share by four times and revenues by three times in four years.  

    He completed his graduation from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and his MBA in marketing from Indian School of Business.

    Anil Jhingan elevated to Discovery APAC president & MD

    Mumbai: Discovery has named Anil Jhingan as president and MD for the Asia Pacific region. He will be based in London and report directly to Discovery president and CEO of streaming and international activities JB Perrette, said the media company in a statement.

    Jhingan joined Discovery in 2019 as executive VP of corporate development, EMEA and APAC. He was earlier associated with Sky as group director of mergers and acquisitions. His previous stints include companies like 21st Century Fox and News Corp.

    “APAC remains a key growth driver for Discovery, and Anil’s deep industry experience, impressive international track record, and strong leadership qualities, working with our expert local teams, will be central in building continued scale and differentiation in this critical region,” said Perette, as quoted by Variety.

    Mumbai: GroupM India has announced the appointment of Ritika Taneja as head of e-commerce. In this role, Taneja will be leading the e-commerce product offerings to clients and will also be responsible for co-creating the e-commerce vision and strategy charter for GroupM India. 

    Taneja will be based out Gurgaon and report to GroupM India president – data, performance and digital products Atique Kazi, and closely work with GroupM APAC head of e-commerce services Toni Ruotanen.

    Mumbai: RK Swamy Hansa Group on Wednesday named Neeraj Sangani as chief executive officer of its wholly-owned subsidiary Hansa Customer Equity Pvt Ltd. He will be reporting to group CEO Shekar Swamy and the board of the company, said the statement.

    The RK Swamy Hansa Group commenced Hansa Customer Equity as a start-up 13 years ago and has invested heavily in this technology-driven space. The company has established itself as a leader in the data analytics, CRM, and martech space and is providing exemplary service to its clients. 

    Sangani has been the COO since May 2020 and running the operations of the company for the past 16 months.
