    Fan Anywhere assigns digital & comm mandate to Beeing Social and Mavcomm Consulting

    Mumbai: Fan Anywhere, a start-up building the world’s first platform for celebrity NFTs, and NFTs & fan tokens of sports clubs, has assigned their digital & communications mandate to creative digital agency Beeing Social and boutique reputation consulting firm Mavcomm Consulting. 

    Beeing Social-Mavcomm Consulting team will deliver a whole host of solutions including communications strategy, planning, creatives, content, media relations and strategic social media outreach across mediums. 

    Co-founded by IIT Roorkee grads and experienced tech entrepreneurs Varun Chaudhary and Amit Kumar, Fan Anywhere aims to become one stop blockchain solution for a celebrity to engage the fan base and is in the process of raising investments and preparing to launch its Initial DEX Offering (IDO) in the near future. 

    Commenting on the association, Fan Anywhere co-founder and CEO Varun Chaudhary said, “We are building the world’s first platform for utility based celebrity NFTs,and NFTs & fan tokens of sports clubs, which will open gateways to Metaverses for celebrities. This is a rapidly emerging space which a lot of people beyond the immediate tech community are not very familiar with.     Powered by Polygon, Fan Anywhere wants to revolutionise the culture of fandom with fan token offerings, exchange for fan tokens, NFT marketplace and rewards traversing the entire ecosystem, said the statement.

    Taneira onboards Shalini Gupta as GM to spearhead growth

    Mumbai: Taneira – the women’s ethnic wear brand from Titan, the Tata Group company has announced the appointment of Shalini Gupta as general manager – marketing, category, design, and supply chain. Gupta will lead the way to achieve the ambitious growth target set for FY23 by the brand by solidifying the brand value proposition, said the brand in a statement.  

    An alumna from SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Gupta has been associated with Titan for almost two decades. She has donned numerous leadership positions in the company, such as heading marketing for Sonata watches, being the business head of Helios and licensed brands in the watches division of the company to being the CMO for Titan Eye Plus, the eyewear business of the company.

    Speaking on her new role, Gupta said, “Over the past few years, Taneira has brought the best Indian weaves under one roof for the progressive Indian women and has also supported the weaver community from across the country. The brand has won the hearts of many customers in a short period of time, and is now poised to scale up exponentially.     Taneira was launched in 2017 to bring about innovation in the women’s ethnic wear category, which   is still largely unorganised, through differentiated designs from over 65 weaving clusters in India, celebrating the diverse textiles and craftsmanship and authenticity of handcraft, said the brand.

    The business began with the launch of sarees and has now gradually expanded to festive & bridal lehengas, dress materials, ready-to-wear blouses, salwar and kurtas, stoles and dupattas.

    Prior to joining WareIQ, Dalai worked with organisations like Indiamart & Cleartax where he was responsible for managing a national sales team targeting large SMB market opportunities in India. He has the expertise of managing large agencies, channels, and teams of 500+ people during his career and has been instrumental in the 0-1, 1-10, and 10-100 stages for start-ups, and corporates like HCL Infosystems, Vodafone, and Jio.

    Clubhouse names ex-TikTok exec Parijat Kaushik as head of partnerships

    Mumbai: Social audio platform Clubhouse has announced its first-ever hire in India by appointing Parijat Kaushik as head of partnerships for the country. This is also the first country-specific appointment by the company outside the United States.

    In this role, Kaushik will be responsible for scaling Clubhouse’s operations in India.

    Prior to joining Clubhouse, Kaushik led marketing efforts for short video app TikTok and music streaming service Resso for the South Asia region.

    Kaushik is an integrated marketing generalist with experience in media, entertainment & technology domains.

    Previously, he also had stints at companies like Hungama, TinyOwl, and Sony Music Entertainment among others.

    Mumbai: Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) has appointed Prashant Bhatt as head of programming for Sony SAB. He will report to Sony SAB business head Neeraj Vyas.

    In his new role, Bhatt will be spearheading the content and programming division for the channel and will be responsible for managing the content lineup and the channel’s creative strategy. “With an in-depth audience understanding and a master at content creation for the Hindi entertainment ecosystem, Prashant comes in with a rich and diverse experience in the entertainment genre,” said the company in a statement on Monday.

    “I am confident that Prashant’s expertise and his deep understanding of the industry will help us further strengthen our programming capabilities. Prashant will play a key role in ensuring we devise and execute a standout premium slate with ground-breaking narratives and high-quality content for our viewers,” said Neeraj Vyas.

    With a career spanning over 27 years, Bhatt has held key leadership positions across broadcast media, creating new show concepts and also headlining innovation strategies for Dangal TV, Zee Punjabi, Colors, etc. He commenced his career in television as a writer and creative director before going on to lead content teams across the industry.

    Mumbai: Offbeet Media Group has onboarded media and entertainment veteran Tarun Nigam as its executive director (ED) in a bid to diversify business and widen the company’s portfolio. He will be working closely with Offbeet Media Group founder Jaideep Singh, Bhavya and the group’s creative and strategy teams.

    In this role, Nigam will help in the strategic outreach of the group’s recent acquisition of 101india.com and lead the teams across other business verticals such as celeb/influencer, branded content, and government sector initiatives, said the company in a statement.

    “Tarun’s deep understanding of the sector and strong equity within the media & entertainment industry will be of immense value to us. I am confident this will help us strategize and carve out a successful business plan in the future,” said Jaideep Singh.

    During his two decades of career, Nigam has led various businesses. His previous stints include companies like DDB Mudra, PM Media Solutions, and Starcom.     At Blink, she will oversee the creative strategy vertical for the agency’s current and new clients. “My clear mandate is to bridge the gap between mainline and digital thinking that continues to exist in our industry and to ensure our clients get the benefit of a truly silo-less approach to their business problems. Under Dooj and Rikki’s setup, we have a strategy team that is underpinned by mainline thinking and yet strongly supplemented with digital expertise,” said Kirpalani on her new role.

    Karvi was until recently heading the media business for Marico & Atomberg technologies at Madison Media. Prior to Madison Karvi worked with GroupM & Starcom and has experience across industries like FMCG, OTT, Jewellery, Watches, Pharma, Lifestyle Retail, etc. He has also worked in the area of business strategy, planning and sales strategy during his stint with Viacom18 & NDTVMedia. 

    At Blink Digital, he will be leading the media vertical & be responsible for the current media businesses as well as acquiring new business. “Digital has been the key area of growth within the media marketing world and will continue to be so by creating further excitement & opportunities for brands & industry as a whole.     Mumbai: Manish Agarvwal has joined Loktantra Mediatech, a startup in the social media space, as chief marketing officer (CMO). He was previously associated with Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) as vice president and head of marketing for their lifestyle channel Zee Zest.

    Agarvwal has 15 years of experience out of which a decade was spent in the television broadcast industry. He joined Zeel in February 2014 as brand head for Zee Cinema SD and HD, Zee Action, Zee Anmol Cinema and Zee Cine Awards. Prior to that, he was associated with Times Network as content and digital marketing manager for Movies Now and Movies Now HD. He has also had stints at broadcasters Star TV Network and Sony Pictures Networks India.

    He is an alumnus of NL Dalmia Institute of Management Studies and Research.
