    Mumbai: Electric mobility brand Yulu has brought Ankit Taparia on board as the head of marketing.

    In this role, his primary responsibilities include making Yulu synonymous with sustainable mobility and a leader in the shared mobility space, said the brand in a statement.

    Taparia brings with him a deep understanding of mobility business and experience of branding, marketing, and business delivery. He also has launched and managed more Indian auto brands. In his last assignment as deputy general manager – marketing, Taparia was the head for Mahindra Bolero.

    TeamViewer onboards Sojung Lee as new president for Asia-Pacific

    Mumbai: TeamViewer, a global SaaS provider of remote connectivity and workplace digitalisation solutions, has announced that Sojung Lee joins the company as president for the Asia-Pacific region including China, Japan, India, Australia, and New Zealand (APAC) at the beginning of December. In this role, she will also join TeamViewer’s global senior leadership team.

    “The appointment of a president for APAC, a new position within TeamViewer’s organisational structure, is the main pillar of the company’s new setup for the region and Lee will be driving TeamViewer’s growth in core APAC markets with a clear focus on enterprise solutions,” said the company in a statement on Wednesday.

    Lee is an experienced senior executive with a proven capability in building and leading high-impact teams. Her responsibility encompasses all go-to-market activities in APAC, including direct sales as well as developing an ecosystem of strong alliances such as channel partners, distributors and resellers. Among other measures, Lee will put an emphasis on leveraging the potential of TeamViewer’s existing sports partnerships with Manchester United and the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team. Based in Singapore, she will build a regional APAC sales hub for TeamViewer, in addition to the existing strong local presence in Japan, China, India, and Australia.

In her previous role at SolarWinds, she succeeded as vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan sales, driving business development, partnerships, and overseeing the APAC sales team to strengthen the brand and extend its market position. Prior to SolarWinds, Lee spent over eight years with IBM Asia Pacific in different positions, most recent being a sales executive/director. Before her tenure at IBM, she built a strong reputation as a business development executive in Korea and China.

    Mallika Petkar joins Viacom18 as senior vice president – sports

    Mumbai: Viacom18 has appointed Mallika Petkar as senior vice president – sports. Petkar was previously working with Disney+ Hotstar as head of SMB growth strategy and inside sales since March 2019.

    She has spent a decade in various roles at both Star TV network and Disney+ Hotstar. At Star TV network she held the role of customer strategy and integrated sales network and Star Sports product and revenue strategy. At Disney+ Hotstar she has held the role of vice president product and revenue strategy. She had joined Star India in August 2011.

    “After a decade at Star India/Hotstar, I have moved on to the next adventure. It’s been an incredible ride, through which I’ve been fortunate to have some of the smartest mentors and colleagues ever assembled under one roof. And many dear friends. From the early days of building Star Sports to the last few years on the rocket ship that is Disney+Hotstar, there’s never been a dull moment,” she wrote in a LinkedIn post.

    She also had a three-year stint at Ernst and Young as senior consultant – business advisory services.

    Mumbai: 9X Media’s chief business officer (CBO) Punit Pandey has taken additional charge of revenue for the network. Being part of 9X Media’s executive team, he will continue to work closely with the board of directors to drive the next phase of growth for the network.

    An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience in business development, Pandey will now guide and mentor the sales team at 9X Media.

    Pandey’s deep understanding of the world of media and technology, his robust experience in cross- and multi-platform marketing and advertising, will prove extremely crucial in putting the network on the growth trajectory. Before getting into the business role at 9X Media, he successfully led the national sales team at 9X Media for over two years when the channel was launched in 2007.

    He has also worked with some of the most iconic media brands like MTV, Zee TV, Rediff.com, Radio Mirchi, Mid-day, and the Reliance Enterprise Business, among others.

    ZebPay appoints Tarun Jain as chief financial officer

    Mumbai: Homegrown crypto-asset exchange ZebPay has announced the appointment of Tarun Jain as its chief financial officer (CFO).

    In this role, Jain will shape the strategic and long-term financial direction of ZebPay’s business. He will work closely with the leadership team to scale the organisation and its systems for the next phase of growth, said the statement.

    Some of the key focus areas for Jain include planning, implementing, and managing all financial activities of the company. In addition to business planning, he will also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and leading strategic business negotiations, the company stated.

Before joining ZebPay, he was working with Lithium Urban Technologies as CFP, after having succeeded in several leadership positions in organisations such as Zoomcar, Herman Miller, and Warner Bros.

    Intel names Steve Long as APJ regional leader

    Mumbai: Intel Corp on Tuesday announced the appointment of Steven A Long as general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. Long is corporate vice president in Intel’s sales, marketing and communications group.

    In this new role, Long will be responsible for Intel’s overall business in the APJ region, including driving revenue growth, engaging with the local ecosystem to create new opportunities, and strengthening our existing customer and partner relationships, said the tech giant in a statement.

    Long was most recently global head of sales for Intel’s client business. He joined Intel in 2000 and has held a breadth of positions across sales, marketing, product planning, pricing and operations, working in Asia, Latin America, and the USA. His previous assignment in Asia was in Hong Kong in 2004, managing the operations team responsible for Intel’s business in the region.

    “I am thrilled at the opportunity to continue driving growth and leadership for Intel in this incredibly diverse APJ region, more so at a time where the digitisation of everything has been accelerated by the four superpowers of AI, pervasive connectivity, cloud to edge infrastructure, and ubiquitous compute,” stated Long on his new role.
