    Mumbai: Full-stack retention operating system platform WebEngage on Monday announced the onboarding of Harminder Singh Ari as VP of sales for India.

    WebEngage is on a mission to help consumer businesses engage and retain customers better at scale through a robust customer data and analytics platform, a personalisation engine and an omnichannel campaign orchestration system.

    Nipun Marya takes over as iQOO India CEO

    Mumbai: Smartphone brand iQOO on Monday announced the appointment of Nipun Marya as chief executive officer for India. As iQQQ India CEO, Marya will be responsible for driving the growth of the brand and its operations in India as it focusses on growing its market share to cement its position in the premium performance smartphone segment, said the company in a statement.

    According to a statement, iQQQ has witnessed a staggering growth of 671 per cent in Q3’21 vis-à-vis Q2’21 and it aims to double its online market share in the mid-premium space from five per cent to 10 per cent in India by 2022. Prior to iQOO, Marya worked with vivo India as director of brand strategy for the last five years.

    “Nipun has successfully led vivo’ s expansion and brand evolution in the India market. His deep understanding and consistent focus on consumer understanding have helped vivo grow its brand strength and preference over the years,” stated vivo India CEO Jerome Chen. “We are delighted to see him assume charge as iQOO’s CEO and are confident he will play a pivotal role in cementing the brand’s position within the India market.”

Witnessing the dynamics of the Indian smartphone market, he will also focus on strengthening the premium and mid-premium portfolio for iQOO in India, said the statement.

    Mumbai: Mandiant Inc, a global player in dynamic cyber defense and response, on Monday announced the appointment of Balaji Rao as its new country manager for India and SAARC markets. In this role, Rao will be responsible for revenue generation, strategic business development and operations at the company.

    Sanjiv Mehta named FICCI president for 2021-22

    Mumbai: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has announced that Hindustan Unilever Ltd (HUL) chairman and MD Sanjiv Mehta will succeed veteran media executive Uday Shankar as president of the association. The appointment will be effective on 18 December.
     
    Mehta is presently officiating as FICCI senior VP. He will be holding the office as president for the year 2021-22.
     
    “During his eight years at the helm, HUL’s market capitalisation has increased by over $55 billion making it one of the most valuable companies in the country. In this period, HUL has won several awards and recognitions including the prestigious Economic Times ‘Company of the Year’ and ‘Corporate Citizen of the Year’ awards, Business Standard’s ‘Company of the year’ award and the ‘Best Governed Company’ award by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability,” said the industry body in a press statement.

    Besides leading HUL, Mehta is also a director on the board of the Indian School of Business, a member of the Breach Candy Hospital Trust, and the South Asia Advisory Board of Harvard Business School. He chairs Xynteo’s Vikaasa, a coalition of top Indian and MNC companies.

    Last year, Uday Shankar took over the top position in the industry body from Sangita Reddy who is Apollo Hospitals Group’s joint MD. At the time of his appointment, Shankar was The Walt Disney Company’s APAC president of operations and Star & Disney India chairman. He stepped down from his position at Walt Disney before holding office at FICCI.

    Grapes appoints Priyank Narain as executive creative director

    Mumbai: Integrated marketing agency Grapes has appointed Priyank Narain as its new executive creative director. He will be based out of the agency’s Delhi office and will report to the agency’s chief operating officer and strategy head Shradha Agarwal.

    In this role, Narain will look after the agency’s creative responsibility across all brands, nationally, the company said in a statement.

    He will supervise creative teams at the company and will oversee creative, copy and design strategies. He will be responsible for driving the next phase of growth for the clients, it added.

    In her new role, Bahadur will lead the overall planning, strategy, and roadmap for BYJU’S expansion in new and existing markets.
