    Yogesh Sharma takes over as Siti Networks CEO

    Mumbai: Siti Networks Ltd, an Essel Group company has appointed Yogesh Sharma as chief executive officer from 1 January.

    Sharma joined Siti Networks as vice president in 2018 and became the chief operating officer in 2019. He has been instrumental in introducing innovative ideas, implementing new processes and competitive strategies to achieve market leadership, said the company in a statement. He has led tactical initiatives and best practices to streamline the operational framework by setting up a robust system at the company, it added.

    “It is an honor to lead Siti Networks. We will be working to enhance our ground connect and introduce new business models focused on leveraging our distribution strength and offering innovative products for our customers,” said Yogesh Sharma on his new role.    

    Sharma, with over 28 years of rich experience, has a proven record of driving operational excellence across organisations. He has dynamic leadership capabilities in business expansion through strategic initiatives, transformational leadership, strengthening operational capabilities, project controls, and implementing best practices. He has extensive experience with national MSOs like DEN Networks, Hathway Cable, and IMCL-Indusind Media and Communication.

    Sharma is a mechanical engineer from Pune University and has attended the prestigious INSEAD leadership programme for senior executives (ILPSE) from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

    Kohinoor Group brings in Raghu Iyer as residential sales director

    Mumbai: Real estate company Kohinoor Group has brought Raghu Iyer on board as the director of residential sales.

    In this role, Iyer’s responsibilities include governing, achieving, and sustaining growth and profitability. He will also be responsible for the development of key growth sales strategies and action plans for the growth of the residential segment, said the company in a statement.

    Iyer has experience in handling teams with a high productivity matrix, product trainer, and sales motivator with experience of creating champions and all-around real estate professionals with a total of 15 years of experience.

    He was last associated with Godrej Properties Ltd as vertical sales head where he executed more than 12 successful launches and activations in the last five years. Previously, Iyer worked with Runwal Group as DGM (sales and marketing) for over two years. At Runwal, he played a pivotal role in scaling the referral loyalty business from a negligible amount to 17 per cent of overall business value. He also handled pre-sales for the company along with the strategic implementation of salesforce CRM.

    Mumbai: Deepak Sharma has joined Rediffusion Media and Communications as executive director. He was previously associated with Starcom Mediavest Group as managing director for over five years.

    “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as executive director at Rediffusion Media and Communications,” he wrote in a LinkedIn post, announcing his move.

    In his career spanning almost two decades, Sharma held senior-level positions at Starcom for almost 17 years. Previously, he worked with agencies like dentsu and GroupM.

    DB Corp names Rahul Namjoshi as CEO of My FM

    Mumbai: Publishing house DB Corp has promoted Rahul Namjoshi to the position of chief executive officer (CEO) of its radio division – My FM. According to Namjoshi’s LinkedIn profile, he took over as CEO of the radio division in October.

    Namjoshi has been serving as the chief operating officer (COO) of the radio division since May 2019. As COO, he was responsible for improving the radio division’s profitability. He managed a team of 500+ people spread over 30 stations and eight corporate markets.

    Namjoshi’s elevation was confirmed by DB Corp president Harrish M Bhatia, who served as the CEO of DB Corp’s radio division for almost 10 years till August 2017. “Dreams do come true – yes I am happy to share that one of my dreams came true few days back. Rahul Namjoshi is promoted as CEO of MY FM. I am so happy to see progress that Rahul has made,” said Bhatia in a recently shared post on social media.

    “When I took over in 2007 I had Rahul in my team, and I remember sometime around 2012/2013 in one of the meetings I had expressed my desire that it is my dream that one of our team members take over from me when I move on instead of a new person coming from outside. Finally, this dream has come true. It’s very important for any organisation which has great culture, growing, good processes and systems in place that somebody from within the system should take over to take it forward,” he added.

    Prior to his promotion as COO, Namjoshi was My FM’s business head for over one year since November 2017. He joined My FM in March 2007 as regional head – Gujarat following which he was elevated as national vorporate sales head in July 2011.

    DB Corp forayed into the radio business with 94.3 My FM in 2006. The radio station sets up its network across 30 tier 2 and 3 cities across seven Indian states, building on the lineage of Bhaskar Group.

    Sharad Aggarwal takes over as CEO of Godfrey Phillips India

    Mumbai: FMCG major Godfrey Phillips India Ltd (GPIL) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Sharad Aggarwal as chief executive officer of the company. He will be reporting to GPIL president and managing director Bina Modi.

    The board of GPIL had met on 16 September and unanimously approved the appointment of Aggarwal, who is currently serving as the COO and whole time director of Godfrey Phillips, said the statement.

    Aggarwal will be taking over from Bhisham Wadhera, who has been at the helm of the company from 2015, as he has demitted office on 26 December 2021. According to a media statement, Wadhera will continue to guide the organisation as an advisor and a mentor. “I am delighted with the appointment of Sharad as the CEO for Godfrey Phillips India; in last two years that I have worked closely with him, as a COO. Sharad has provided great value to Godfrey Phillips with an exceptional mix of strategic and people management skills, professional expertise and superior understanding of processes and technology,” shared Wadhera.

    “Sharad has been with the organisation since 1994 and has exceptional credentials of delivering results.     “As I begin my new innings at IDFC FIRST Bank in the marketing team, I feel energised at the opportunity to work with some of the best minds in the BFSI industry,” Naarayan wrote in a LinkedIn post.

    In his eight-month stint at SugarBox, Naarayan had set up the marketing and communications team across brand, digital, creative, PR and partnership marketing. “To my friends at SugarBox Networks and my incredibly talented marketing team, grateful to have worked with you. As always, I will cheer for your success,” he further said.

    In a career spanning over 16 years, Naarayan worked with companies like HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank and PayPal among others. He has completed B-Tech in civil engineering from Calicut University and an MBA in marketing from PSG Institute of Management.

    Mumbai: Ed-tech company BYJU’S on Thursday announced the appointment of Himanshu Bajaj as head of business to lead its BYJU’S Learning Centre.

    BYJU’S Learning Centre offers students a hybrid model of learning by combining the best of offline and online learning methodologies.

    In his role, Bajaj will be responsible for development and expansion of BYJU’S Learning Centre, along with providing strategic business growth and thought leadership direction for the brand and the business. He will report directly to BYJU’S chief operating officer Mrinal Mohit. 

    BYJU’S chief people officer Pravin Prakash said, “With Himanshu’s extensive years of diverse experience in front-ending business for various corporates, he will help scale and add value to the offerings of BYJU’S Learning Centre. His experience includes managing global projects as well as country-specific projects across India, Paris, UK, the US, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Dubai, South Africa.

    Before joining BYJU’S, Bajaj worked with Kearney and led its consumer and retail practice across Asia Pacific. He has also worked with Fedex in Singapore and Hong Kong and TSMG in Mumbai.

    Ather Energy announces key appointments to support next phase of growth

    Mumbai: Homegrown electric scooter brand Ather Energy has announced two key appointments with an aim to strengthen its leadership team as the company embarks on its next phase of growth. In view of its long term business objectives and goals, the company has appointed Gurinder Singh Sukhija as head of ownership management and Murali Sashidharan as head of communications and government relations.

    “‘Ownership experience’ is the part of the journey that starts once the customer takes delivery of the vehicle. I am delighted to welcome Gurinder. His rich experience across industries and functions will be super-useful in helping him take the Ather ownership experience to even greater heights. Functionally speaking, Gurinder will lead the Customer Service, Vehicle Service and Ownership Products verticals,” said Ather Energy chief business officer Ravneet Singh Phokela on the appointments.

    Sukhija comes with over 24 years of experience in diverse industries like banking, telecom, infrastructure (ATM) and transport networks. His core expertise lies in customer support management across geographies and managing in-house and outsourcing partners. 

    Prior to joining Ather, he was working with Ola as senior director and head-customer and partner support operations. He has held previous roles at CMS Infosystems, Transaction Solutions International, Mphasis among others.

    Announcing Sashidharan’s appointment at Ather Energy, Ravneet further said, “Murali, with his extensive experience in corporate communication will head the Public Relations function, leading media relations, influencer marketing and public affairs. He will also manage the interface with government and industry bodies. Murali brings a wealth of experience and will play a critical role in this high-growth phase for the brand.     Sashidharan comes with 20 years of experience in goal-oriented communication strategies focussed on driving engagement with stakeholders and establishing strong brand recall across audiences. His last assignment was with Ola where he managed the communications strategy for their mobility and electric businesses. He has also led the communication mandate for Ola’s launch in London. Murali has also worked with Sony Pictures Network India, Adfactors PR, MSL 20:20, Royal Sundaram and Six Degrees PR.

    To cater to growing demand, Ather Energy has commissioned its second manufacturing facility in Hosur recently taking its manufacturing capacity to 400,000 units from its current capacity of 120,000 units. It has also invested heavily in the charging infrastructure to ensure a seamless and hassle-free transition to EVs, the company said.

    According to a statement, the company has registered strong year-on-year growth, and has expanded its retail footprint to 26 cities and plans to expand to around 150 Experience Centers in 100 cities by March 2023.

    Kumar Siddharath joins Madison Media to lead Mates

    Mumbai: Madison Media on Wednesday announced the appointment of Kumar Siddharath to lead its entertainment unit Mates.  Mates now will be integrated within Madison Media and will focus on brand solutions including in-film associations, celebrity associations, and other ancillary services related to entertainment, content and branding, the company said.

    In this role, Siddharath will report to Madison Media and OOH partner and group CEO Vikram Sakhuja. Former founder and CEO of Mates Sooraj Bhalla has decided to pursue other interests.

    With over 14 years of experience, Siddharath joins Madison Media with a multi-faceted understanding of content marketing, partnership & strategic alliances with a sharp focus on client servicing and business development. He has worked with companies like Endemol, UTV, Viacom 18, Reliance Broadcast Network, Optimystix Entertainment, and other production houses where he has produced big shows including “Roadies” and created AFPs for brands like  HUL, Hero, Idea and Woodland amongst other brands. 

    Apart from production houses, his exposure ranges from industries like broadcast (TV and radio) to films and OTT to print and events. He was also director brand solutions at Omnicom Media Group.

    “I am excited to have Siddharath join our team and provide our clients’ brands content solutions and further strengthen our Madison Media offering, all under one roof,” said Vikram Sakhuja.
