    Nilesh Naik joins Rediffusion as executive creative director

    Mumbai: Rediffusion announced that Nilesh Naik has joined its Mumbai office as executive creative director. 

    With over 19 years of work experience, Naik has worked with several top agencies including Publicis, Euro RSCG, Bates, Dentsu, Percept and FCB in India, and The Classic Partnership, Grey Worldwide and GTB in the UAE, in Dubai. 

    “We have been strengthening our team at Rediffusion to keep pace with all the new businesses that we have been winning over the past few months. And of course, there has been a tremendous surge in projects and assignments from existing clients,” said Rediffusion Mumbai head and EVP Kalyani Srivastava. “Nilesh will be tasked with shouldering some of the increased responsibilities and I am sure he will come out aces.”

    Naik was ranked among top 10 creative directors in the MENA region in 2019. He is the recipient of several awards that include the Cannes Lions, Adfest, OneShow and Dubai Lynx and his work has been featured in Lurzer’s International Archive.

    Modi Naturals onboards Mukesh Ghuraiya as chief marketing officer

    Mumbai: FMCG major Modi Naturals, known for its edible oil brand, Oleev has appointed Mukesh Ghuraiya as chief marketing officer (CMO).

    In his new role, Ghuraiya will be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of the marketing and brand strategy of the company. He will also handle the New Product Development section at Modi Naturals.

An MBA in Marketing from MICA, Ahmedabad, he has worked as a category manager with Philips India in his previous assignment and also headed the marketing for Rado Watches in India.

    Mumbai: The Gurugram office of L&K Saatchi & Saatchi has announced the onboarding of Amitabh Sreedharan as vice president. In this role, he would report to L&K Saatchi & Saatchi EVP and head – North and East Atin Wahal.

    Sreedharan’s mandate at L&K Saatchi & Saatchi will be to drive new business growth and enhance agency-client partnerships in the region, said the statement.

    Publicis Health appoints Anindya Banerjee as creative head

    Mumbai: Publicis Health has announced the appointment of Anindya Banerjee as head of creative. He will report to Publicis Health senior VP Dorelle Kulkarni.

    In this role, Banerjee will lead the creative mandate for the unit, evolving their creative offerings while managing growth, strategy and communications output for the agency, said the statement.

    Rediffusion Mumbai brings in Dhanwinder Singh as client servicing head

    Mumbai: Rediffusion has announced the onboarding of Dhanwinder Singh as client servicing head and said he will lead one of the two business groups at the agency’s Mumbai office.

    Singh has a total of 18 years of experience in the advertising and communication business. He has managed several blue-chip clients and has led strategic businesses across many start-ups in recent years.  

    “Dhanwinder is very dependable and mature in his handling of client businesses. He comes with a lot of valuable cross-category experience, and exposure to diverse domains,” commented Rediffusion Mumbai EVP and head Kalyani Srivastava. “At Rediffusion, we look forward to him building, and leading, a talented team of young professionals at our Mumbai office.”

    Singh was last associated with Dentsu-Aegis in Mumbai. Previously, he worked at agencies like Lowe Lintas, JWT, McCann, and Mudra.

    WPP appoints Simon Dingemans to the board

    Mumbai: WPP on Monday announced the appointment of Simon Dingemans to its board as a non-executive director, with immediate effect. 

    He is associated with the global investment firm The Carlyle Group as senior advisor in the UK. “Dingemans will serve as a member of the audit committee upon joining the board,” said the statement.

    Commenting on the appointment, WPP chairman Roberto Quarta said, “We are delighted to welcome Simon to WPP. His insight from a varied and distinguished career, combining both operational and financial experience, will be invaluable to the Board as WPP continues its transformation and strategic progress.”

    Prior to joining Carlyle, Dingemans was associated with GlaxoSmithKline as CFO and a member of the mainboard from 2011 to 2019, where he drove extensive restructuring and change programmes that delivered significant financial and operational efficiencies.  He also led a number of significant strategic transactions. As CFO, he was responsible for leading finance and a variety of other functions including procurement, real estate and technology, including cyber security.

    Prior to GSK, Dingemans worked in investment banking for 25 years at SG Warburg and then at Goldman Sachs, where he was managing director and partner for 10 years as a leader of their European M&A business and head of UK investment banking. Dingemans served as non-executive chair of the Financial Reporting Council in 2019/20. He was also the chairman of the 100 Group which represents the views of finance directors in the FTSE 100 and a number of large UK private companies.

    Times Professional Learning names Gaurav Barjatya as brand marketing & comms head

    Mumbai: Times Professional Learning (TPL) has brought Gaurav Barjatya on board as head of brand marketing and communications. TPL is an education initiative by The Times of India Group with an aim to revolutionise professional education in India.

    Barjatya was last associated with WWE as marketing director and took care of India operations for more than two years. Previously, he also worked with Star TV Network as vice president – marketing for around eight years.

    In the past, he has also worked with Parle Agro as senior brand manager and Idea Cellular as manager – brand communications and media for more than four years.

    Barjatya has pursued his MBA from Fore School of Management, New Delhi and has completed the Star Edge – executive education programme from the Indian School of Business.

    An MBA in marketing from Xavier Institute of Management – Bhubaneswar, Sood previously headed Modern Trade for Mars Wrigley and also drove the strategic reinvention across import business and supply and supply chain in his tenure of eight years. He started his career with Cavinkare Pvt Ltd in 2005 and has also been associated with Marico Ltd, where he served as regional sales head.

    Mumbai: IT major Wipro has brought Namita Tiwari on board as director and head of CIS marketing.

    Announcing her new role, she wrote on LinkedIn, “I’m excited & grateful to share that I have joined Wipro, as Marketing Director & relocated to Bangalore. Looking forward to the challenges and finding smarter, innovative and faster ways to overcome them.”

    In this new role, Tiwari will be responsible for the innovation of the marketing strategies of the company and will be based in Bengaluru.

    She is a business storyteller and strategic marketing leader with expertise in creating next-gen marketing programmes that converge digital, brand and content. Prior to Wipro, Tiwari was associated with Tata Communications as senior manager, digital and content marketing. Previously, she worked with a number of companies such as Accenture, Coforge, HCL, Polaris and Infosys. 

    She is also a well-recognised guest speaker at the Symbiosis Institute of International Business and the Indian Institute of Management, Sirmaur. She has been a member of the CMO Councill since May 2021.
