    mSix&Partners elevates Subhamay Mukhopadhyay to managing partner India

    Mumbai: mSix&Partners, GroupM’s youngest outcome-based agency has named Subhamay Mukhopadhyay as managing partner, India. He will be taking the baton from Saket Sinha, who is appointed as mSix&Partners APAC chief growth officer. Sinha will be based out of Singapore office, the agency said.

    “Mukhopadhyay will be responsible to accelerate the business growth of mSix&Partners in India and the clients through its integrated marketing solutions. Media and commerce, measurement and technology are among the areas he will expand mSix&Partner’s capabilities,” said the statement.

    Dina D’Souza joins MX Player as senior vice president direct and OTT AVOD

    Mumbai: Times Internet owned MX Player has appointed Dina D’Souza as senior vice president of direct and OTT (AVOD) business, according to her LinkedIn profile.

    MX Player is one of the largest AVOD OTT platforms in the country with a base of 300 million monthly active users.

    “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as senior vice president at MX Player! I will be driving the Direct and the OTT AVOD business for the organisation, in this new role,” said D’souza in the post.

    D’Souza’s previous assignment was short video platform Trell as vice president and head of the monetisation. She was associated with Flipkart as director of the monetisation and before that was with advertising platform Pokkt as vice president of sales.

    She has over 22 years of experience in sales and marketing across organisations such as 9XM Media, Microsoft, Yahoo! and Bennett Coleman and Co.

    D’Souza has widespread experience across the media, internet and ad-tech industry and has worked in the revenue function across print, web, mobile, ad-tech and commerce products.

    Mumbai: Electric scooters manufacturer Batt:RE has announced its partnership with the T20 team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) as its official ‘EV partner’ for the ongoing 2022 season. The association will include a distribution of signed team merchandise and memorabilia along with jerseys and bats, it said on Tuesday.

    Mumbai: Homegrown auto-tech company CarDekho Group has appointed Sharad Saxena as CEO of the used car business. He will operate out of the company’s Gurugram office and will report to CarDekho Group CEO and co-founder Amit Jain.

    In this role, Saxena will oversee the pan-India used car business of the company, team development and work on strengthening the organisation’s business offering through retail and dealer relationships, said the company in a statement.

    Tata Neu ropes in Akash Banerji as head of content & entertainment vertical

    Mumbai: The Tata Group has roped in Akash Banerji to lead the content and entertainment vertical of Tata Neu app. Tata Digital unveiled its much-anticipated super app Tata Neu earlier this week.

    In this role, Banerji will oversee the entire content vertical, including P&L, product, content creation, and marketing at Tata Neu, as per media reports.

    Banerji was previously leading marketing for Amazon’s mobile business vertical, having joined the organisation in August 2020.

    Prior to Amazon, he worked with Viacom18’s OTT platform Voot. He was with Viacom18 for five years.

    Banerji has more than eighteen years of experience in the technology, marketing, sales/distribution & P&L domains with consumer centric MNCs.

    He served in multiple industries across digital video (Hotstar & Voot), e-commerce (Prime), Slsports (Star Sports) & entertainment (Star Plus) broadcast & CPG (Pepsi, Marico).

    Mumbai: dentsu India has announced the appointment of Arjuna Gaur as chief creative officer (CCO), dentsu Webchutney and dentsuMB. Both agencies are part of dentsu Creative India that brings together creative, digital and PR under one umbrella.

    In his new role, Gaur will work toward expanding the creative mandate for both agencies. He will lead creative thought leadership across the network and combine the expertise of dentsu Webchutney and dentsuMB to deliver future-forward creative solutions for clients, said the agency in a statement.

    Gaur will report to dentsu Creative India group chief creative officer India (GCCO) Ajay Gahlaut. “It is a privilege to have yet another brilliant creative onboard as part of the team. In his professional journey thus far, Gaur has worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Amazon, P&G, PepsiCo, Wrigley’s, Celcom, Airtel, GE India, HP, Apple, Volkswagen, Deutsche Bank and Spotify amongst others. He has also worked with teams that have produced some of the best campaigns of the decade. He has been a filmmaker with Equinox Films, and is a multi-instrumental musician and collector of vintage computer hardware.

    Disney+ Hotstar appoints Nishant Tandon as AVP – growth

    Mumbai: Streaming service platform Disney+ Hotstar has appointed Nishant Tandon as AVP – growth. 

    Tandon announced his new role in a LinkedIn post. “After a ~six-year long stint with Viacom18 and Voot, moving back to the group where it all began. Though I am sad that I will not be working with people whom I have called friends for a long while, I look forward to the new challenges. I’ll be based out of Gurgaon, working with the growth team at Hotstar,” he wrote.

    He was previously associated with Viacom18 Media since June 2016.

    At Viacom18, Tandon was senior director of subscription revenue for Voot Select and Voot Kids. Prior to that, he worked with Star TV Network as part of the distribution team. He has also had stints at Mahindra Group and Oracle.

    Tandon has completed his B-Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and MBA from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

    Kapoor took to LinkedIn to share the news. “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President and National Sales Head at The Quint,” she wrote in her post. 

    An experienced professional in the broadcast media industry, Kapoor has worked across functions such as advertising sales, customer relationship management and market research.  She was previously associated with Times Network as vice president and cluster head since March 2017.

    In a career spanning almost two decades, Kapoor has been the national sales head of India Today Group and national sales head for UTV Movies and UTV Action at The Walt Disney Company. She has also had stints at Tensports, Star TV Network, Times of India Group, and Bluestar.
