    Publicis In-Motion appoints Shonali Sharma as head of Arc Worldwide’s Delhi office

    Mumbai: Publicis In-Motion on Monday announced the appointment of Shonali Sharma as head of Arc Worldwide’s Delhi office.

    “Shonali will head an adept team of experts and focus on making Arc Worldwide a preferred partner for brands looking to ace their customer connect across channels and platforms,” said the statement. Shonali will closely work with the India leadership team of Arc worldwide helmed by Pravin Vadhera.

    Shonali brings with her eighteen years of experience in experiential marketing, brand development, sports marketing, integrated marketing and communication. In the past, she has worked with agencies like Candid Marketing Services, Ogilvy Action, Cheil Communications, along with managing the PGAI Tour and launching Delhi Daredevils at the IPL. She has worked across a range of brands from telecom (Idea, Vodafone, Motorola), FMCG (Pepsi, Cadbury’s, Revlon, Samsung) and media (National Geographic, Discovery Networks) to technology (Microsoft, Lenovo) and pharma (Novartis) amongst others. Her work has earned her numerous awards.

    Mumbai: Anuradha Agarwal has joined Amazon as CMO and director of user growth, according to her LinkedIn profile update. She was previously associated with Disney Star India as cluster head of kids, infotainment and English channels.

    In a career spanning almost two decades, Aggarwal has experience across FMCG, telecom and broadcast sectors in India and South Asia. Prior to joining Star TV Network, she was associated with Marico as chief marketing officer. She has also had stints at Mondelez International, Vodafone India (Vodafone Idea), and Unilever.

    She is an alumnus of Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and PGDBM in marketing management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

    Mumbai: Clevertap has brought Honey Bajaj on board as senior vice president (SVP) and global chief of consumer experience. Bajaj is a design strategist, an innovation leader and a social entrepreneur with extensive work in India and the US.

    Before joining Clevertap, Honey built an innovation pipeline for several Fortune 500 companies, including Boston Consulting Group Digital Ventures, Disney, Microsoft Research, MIT Media Lab and Tata Group. At Tata Group, she developed detailed market segmentation frameworks based on purchase behaviour to orchestrate product launches and go-to-market strategies.

    She is also a dual degree holder with a master’s degree in engineering and management and a master’s in sustainability studies from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is currently pursuing her PhD in design and innovation methodologies in the digital world.

    Mumbai: Mercer|Mettl, the global leader in talent acquisition and skill assessment has appointed Vineet Singh as chief marketing officer (CMO) to lead its marketing and customer engagement functions, along with strengthening its global footprint.

    In this role, Vineet intends to deliver innovative marketing process automation and omnichannel digital marketing strategies for the product-led-growth. He will work closely with sales, products, and operations to achieve marketing growth objectives.

    Ixigo onboards Rahul Gautam as group CFO

    Mumbai: Travel app ixigo has announced the onboarding of Rahul Gautam as group chief financial officer. He will replace former group CFO Ravi Gupta, who has resigned due to personal reasons.

    Rahul brings considerable experience in capital markets, corporate finance, and business advisory and will be leading the finance function for ixigo with a specific focus on corporate finance and corporate development, mergers and acquisitions, public markets and investor relations, growth, risk management and financial reporting.

    Rahul has held various leadership roles, most recently serving as senior vice president – finance at PVR Ltd, where he was responsible for various roles including corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this, he has worked with organisations such as SBI Capital Markets Ltd, Religare Capital Markets Ltd and Deloitte Haskins and Sells. 

    Rahul holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce (honours) from the University of Delhi. In 2004, he also became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

    Mumbai: DDB Mudra Group has appointed Aniruddha Deb as executive vice president and head of business – North.

    In his new role, Aniruddha will lead the integrated business between DDB Mudra and 22feet Tribal Worldwide in the North office. He will report to DDB Mudra Group managing partner – North Ashutosh Sawhney.

    In his 19+ years of brand stewardship experience in advertising and marketing, Aniruddha has worked with global businesses like Unilever, Nestle, Wipro, Samsung, LG, HSBC, Vodafone, KFC, and Subway. He began his career with MullenLowe Lintas Group, where he rose through the ranks to lead Unilever’s detergents, oral care and deodorants business in SE Asia, operating out of Thailand.

    After working with agencies such as Ogilvy, Publicis Groupe and Cheil Worldwide, he took on a marketing role and served as head of marketing at Mobiistar. Here, he launched the Vietnamese smartphone brand in India, both online and retail. His last stint was with Wunderman Thompson as senior vice president & executive business director, where a major part of his role was as the branch head, ADK Fortune, Bangalore.

    In this role, Seetharaman will be responsible for managing global sales, partnerships, marketing & GTM, customer success and overall P&L of the organisation, said the statement.

    Seetharaman has more than 23 years of experience in seeding and scaling businesses across multiple markets. He spent a large portion of his career with global major Wipro, where he started and operated businesses across India, Middle East, UK, Continental Europe and Latin America. A multi-faceted executive, he was responsible for some of the large wins and establishing a strong presence in each of these markets. In his last role with Tech Mahindra, Mukund was the Chief Growth Officer for the Cloud business for EMEA and APJI markets. He is an electronics engineer and an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune.

    Shayondeep Pal to head creative at Lowe Lintas Bangalore

    Mumbai: Lowe Lintas has announced the appointment of Shayondeep Pal as a regional creative officer. Pal will work out of the agency’s Bangalore office and manage some of the flagship brands of the agency from the South region. The appointment is effective immediately, the agency said in a statement.

    Most recently, he led the creative campaigns for Surf Excel, Wheel, Vim, UltraTech and Nestle EveryDay. In his new role, Pal will strengthen the creative output of the agency’s Bangalore office working on brands like Tanishq, Swiggy, Unacademy and Fastrack, among others.

    In this role, Pal will report to Lowe Lintas CCO Sagar Kapoor.

     Commenting on Pal’s new role in the agency, Sagar Kapoor said, “Shayondeep (Shayon, as we fondly refer to him) has led the Lowe Delhi office in the past. He has worked on a diverse mix of brands across categories. Both his wisdom and creative talent will definitely take Lowe Lintas South to newer heights.     Pal’s advertising career began about 24 years ago with a chance stint as a trainee writer at McCann-Erickson, having trained as a journalist after a post-graduate course at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. In his first stint with Lowe Lintas between 2008 and 2015, he worked on brands such as Micromax, OLX, Hindustan Times, Havells and Maruti-Suzuki. Under his watch, Lowe Lintas has won numerous awards including the coveted Cannes and Effies, among others. Previously, he has also worked with Grey Group on brands like Halonix, Dominos and Greenlam and with Network Advertising as its CCO. He had also founded Amorphous Films where he worked on brands like Quikr, Havells, Gionee and Aegon Life.

    Hiroshi Hamada appointed as Yakult Danone India MD

    Mumbai: Probiotic food company Yakult Danone India has announced the appointment of Hiroshi Hamada as managing director effective 4 April. Hamada took charge from Minoru Shimada who had led the company, a 50:50 JV between global probiotic majors Yakult Honsha, Japan and Groupe Danone of France for over ten years.

    With more than 33 years of experience in the corporate world, Hamada has had a chequered career in different verticals, which include accounts, corporate planning, sales and marketing. “Based in New Delhi at Yakult India’s head office, he will be leading the business operations for the Indian market,” said the statement.

    During his tenure at Yakult Honsha, the parent company located in Japan, Hamada was instrumental in the establishment of the Yakult European Research Institute in Belgium and played a critical role in joint clinical trials with the National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (NICED), Kolkata, according to the company. He also played a pivotal role in building an effective home delivery business model in Yakult Indonesia, before moving to Yakult Malaysia as marketing director for six years.

    “Probiotics is not new to India, but we continue to engage, propagate and educate the health benefits of the unique probiotic bacteria, Lactobacillus casei strain Shirota (LcS) in Yakult which is scientifically validated to improve intestinal health and build immunity,” said Hiroshi Hamada. “India offers immense opportunities for us by its vast consumer base and its diverse geography.”
