    Zeno Group India to expand Peppa Pig’s presence in Indian market

    Mumbai: Hasbro’s global content studio Entertainment One (eOne) has awarded the integrated communications mandate of their popular children’s property Peppa Pig to Zeno Group India.

    Zeno will be responsible for leading the brand’s communication strategy, delivered across traditional and new-age media channels. The agency will also help to expand Peppa Pig’s audience reach and presence in the Indian market.

    Zeno was chosen following a competitive pitch that challenged agencies to focus on storytelling concepts that would work across multiple platforms.

    Speaking on the partnership, Global Franchise Strategy & Management vice president Robin Gay said, “Zeno India delighted us with their ability to go beyond the tactical, giving depth and definition to ideas that synergized with how we wish to build Peppa Pig in India.     Mumbai: Independent marketing group, GOZOOP Group, has bagged the public relations mandate for Mumbai’s premier destination for shopping, entertainment, and food, Infiniti Mall.

    GOZOOP Group will be responsible for building brand awareness, strengthening spokesperson imagery and highlighting the offerings amongst a larger set of target audiences. The agency will also create and implement innovative communication strategies and provide end-to-end media relations support to ensure top-of-mind recall and extensive footfall.

    MX Media’s Viraj Jit Singh joins Jio Entertainment Services as a chief revenue officer

    Mumbai: Viraj Jit Singh has joined Jio Entertainment Services as chief revenue officer, he confirmed on his LinkedIn profile.

    Singh was previously associated with MX Media as senior vice president and head of revenue for MX Player and MX Takatak.

    He brings with him more than 25 years of experience across sectors such as TV broadcast, radio, sports and live events and expertise in marketing and sales.

    He has worked at KidZania as chief sales and marketing officer, Viacom18, Reliance Broadcast Network, ESPN Star Sports and Wilson Sporting Goods India.

    He is an alumnus of the University of Buckingham and completed his post-graduation in management from Indian School of Business (ISB).

    Mumbai: With a focus on developing, producing, and distributing content for India and across the globe, Locomotive Global Media, an international production company based in Mumbai, has strengthened its senior leadership team by appointing Kanupriya A Iyer as head of business affairs and senior producer. Kanupriya’s appointment is with immediate effect.

    In her new role, Kanupriya will work closely with Sunder Aaron to set up and lead Locomotive Global Media’s film division as well as oversee all business operations. Locomotive Global Media is growing rapidly with an ambitious roster of projects in active development. Kanupriya combines her sharp business acumen with a belief that the world can be changed, one film at a time. Her in-depth expertise in content and business development makes Kanupriya a key asset for Locomotive Global Media.

    Mumbai: Abhinav Govil has been named head of marketing, performance marketing, brand management, strategic planning through integrated marketing campaigns, for business transformation in the Indian market by Nexgen Energia, a Noida-based alternative fuel energy company with the fastest growing market share.

    Prior to this, Govil served as general manager – marketing & strategy at Approach Advertising & Exhibitors, where he was in charge of planning, implementing, and administering various marketing-related decisions as well as launching product campaigns through focused market research and competitor studies. 

    In June 2022, he joined Nexgen Energia as director of marketing for the company’s energy business division.

    With a career spread over 17 years, Abul has worked with established names in the media domain. Prior to joining India News, he was associated with India TV as an anchor and executive producer. He has also worked with News Nation, Sahara TV and Jain TV.

    Abul is an iTV alumnus. He has engaged himself in various important assignments throughout his career.

    Mumbai: Branded content solutions provider Ice Media Labs and Analytics has roped in Taru Dewan as national revenue lead.

    She will be nurturing the key accounts and simultaneously focus on new business development across markets at Ice Media Lab.

    Dewan has expertise in sales, revenue, managing P&L, strategic thinking and brand management. She was instrumental in the launch of multiple magazines, radio stations and digital wallets in her previous stints.

    She will be based out of Mumbai and reporting to Ice Media Labs & Analytics co-founder and creative partner Debojit Saha.

    “We are very happy to onboard Taru as we celebrate the roll out of our 50th film this year. Taru has a great understanding of the market and content.     Mumbai: DDB Mudra has announced the appointment of Manish Darji as head of Art – West. In his new role, Darji will lead the design mandate for the agency’s west office and will report to DDB Mudra creative head – West Pallavi Chakravarti.

    As part of his mandate, Darji will explore applications of craft in newer categories like digital, data, entertainment, and content. His appointment reinforces the Group’s commitment to craft at a time when visual storytelling is constantly evolving, said the agency in a statement.     Ayesha Ghosh joins Wieden+Kennedy as managing director for India; Gautham Narayan moves on

    Mumbai: Wieden+Kennedy has announced that Ayesha Ghosh has been appointed as managing director for India. Ghosh, who will be based in Mumbai, officially starts at W+K on 15 July and will partner with India CCO Santosh Padhi.

    Present WK Delhi managing director Gau Narayanan, who is leaving India and the agency to return home to the UK, will help with the transition through August.

    Ghosh joins the agency after six years at Taproot Dentsu where she held the role of CEO, based in Mumbai. She joined Taproot in December 2015 as general manager, and was promoted to CEO in 2021.

    Prior to Taproot, Ghosh was part of the leadership team for Contract Advertising for over a decade, helping build and grow the agency’s presence. Here she worked closely with the consulting and design practices, to help expand sources of growth. Previous to Contract Advertising, she held permanent positions in a number of industry shops including Grey Worldwide, Trikaya Grey and PSL McCann Erickson.

    On her new role, Ghosh commented, “It’s astonishing how W+K consistently produces off-the-charts work, across the world. I hope to absorb some of that genius and with the help of a talented team in India and an ace like Paddy, create some genius of our own.
