    Arora is a digital marketing professional with over 10 years of experience across India & Canada. He has worked across agencies, Merkle Sokrati, Ad Global 360 and had also run his digital agency in the past. His latest stint before HiveMinds was with an Ed-tech major, Textbook.

    Mumbai: XtraCover, a new-age e-commerce platform catering to the lifecycle management services of smartphones and other electronic devices, has announced the appointment of Anirudh Singhania as its new chief technology officer (CTO) to strengthen the company’s technological prowess.

    Singhania has more than 25 years of experience in creating technology solutions, hatching growth strategies and leading high-performing software engineering teams. Prior to joining XtraCover, Anirudh was part of the founding team of Lulu and Sky Private Limited as the Chief Technology Officer. He also built dharma.h Software Technologies. Furthermore, he has worked with multiple tech startups from the stage of ideation to exit.

    Launched in 2019, XtraCover is an e-commerce platform that caters to the lifecycle management services of smartphones and other electronic devices. Operating in the B2C and B2B2C segments, the company offers services such as price discovery and comparison for new appliances, warranty support, refurbished device warranty, accidental damage and protection and repair and refurbishment services, among others. The e-commerce platform aims to create awareness in the Indian ecosystem to make refurbished devices a valued choice, if not the first choice.

    Witnessing a paradigm shift in the market growth of refurbished products since the global pandemic, XtraCover has clocked a revenue of over Rs 100 crore in FY 2022. With an aim to continue this growth trajectory, the company intends to surpass the Rs 275 crore target revenue in FY 2023. Additionally, the e-commerce platform plans on increasing its global outreach through export-oriented units (EOU) in India.

    MUMBAI: Dentsu Creative India has announced the appointment of Sudhir Das as executive creative director (ECD). He will report into Dentsu Webchutney & dentsuMB chief creative officer (CCO) Arjuna Gaur.

    In his new role, Das will oversee and strengthen the creative capabilities of the agency’s Bengaluru office, further leveraging the power of ‘Modern Creativity’ across brands, according to the agency.

    Armed with two decades of experience, Das has won over 50 national and international awards. Prior to this, he was with Leo Burnett as an associate executive creative director (AECD).     Mumbai: Sant Prasad Rai has stepped down as managing editor of TV9 Bharatvarsh. He was associated with the channel for over three years. To synergize broadcast & digital editorial operations, TV9 Bharatvarsh to be helmed by Deep Upadhyay who is currently the editor of convergence & strategy.

    Upadhyay will be assisted by Rahul Chaudhary in day-to-day news operations at TV9 Bharatvarsh.

    Rai has three decades of experience in electronic media. Earlier, he was associated with India TV as senior executive editor for a year. He has held many reputed positions at Zee Media, News 24, Sahara Samay and ETV UP. Rai has been relieved from his day-to-day newsroom responsibilities with immediate effect at TV9 Bharatvarsh.

    Sandeep Bhushan logs out of Meta after seven years

    Mumbai: Meta’s director business group India Sandeep Bhushan has announced his decision to move on from the tech conglomerate. Bhushan took to LinkedIn to announce that he will be moving on from the company before the end of this year.

    “I want to share that later this year I will be leaving Meta to start the next phase of my professional life,” he wrote.

    Although he did not disclose his future plans, he mentions that having completed 25 years of his professional journey this month, he is keen to go deeper into the social sector and “build new learning muscle” that can guide his contribution over the next 25 years.

    Bhushan further added, “I will be on a listening and reflection tour for a while as I plan the details ahead. Before that, I will be at Meta for the next few months to extend all possible transition support to Ajit Mohan and the team for their ambitious plans for Meta’s social and business impact in India.”

    Prior to taking on the role of director at Meta business group India, Bhushan was serving as the director and head of global marketing solutions India for six years.

    Furthermore, he is also an invitee to the Board at the Advertising Standards Council of India, in addition to being a board member at MMA APAC.

    He has also worked with companies such as Samsung Electronics, HT Media, and Hindustan Unilever towards the beginning of his career.
