    Infectious Advertising ropes in Anil Jayachandran as chief strategy officer

    Mumbai: Infectious Advertising announced it has bolstered its strategic chops by hiring Anil Jayachandran as its chief strategy officer. In his last job, Jayachandran headed communications planning for Omnicom, Malaysia, working on key client accounts across OMD and PHD to drive thought leadership and best strategy practices.

    Previously, he held the role of strategy planning director at Leo Burnett.

    Jayachandran has spent nearly a quarter of a century working across geographies and is regarded as an expert in markets as diverse as North Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. From Egypt to Malaysia, he has worked across functions—marketing, advertising, research, and strategy—with global players like Burnett, JWT, Unilever, Lintas, O&M, McCann, and Omnicom.

    Sumeer Raina rejoins Nagra as director of sales and marketing

    Mumbai: Kudelski Group’s digital TV division, Nagra, has announced the return of Sumeer Raina as director of sales and marketing.

    In his previous stint with Nagra, he was the marketing director for three years between 2016 and 2019. Raina was brought on board to increase Nagra’s market share at key operators in India and SAARC countries.

    Before rejoining Nagra, Raina worked as director of sales and marketing-India & SAARC at SmarDTV Global, handling profit and loss management. His part involved tasks like strategic planning to drive the sales growth and profitability of new businesses; prospecting, qualifying, and generating new opportunities for new business generation; creating commercial proposals and doing contract negotiations; and contributing to building the company’s market plan for India and SAARC.

    He also liaised with top management on account strategy and development plans—India and overseas—on issues of relevance for the Indian, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka markets.

    His key achievements during his tenure at SmarDTV were setting up a broad organisation from scratch for software development, hardware development, project management, and manufacturing teams in India within a short span of one year.

    During his tenure at Nagra, he received a Star Performer Award for winning the Airtel account for digital security for selling SaaS-based solutions on AWS. He also received the Star Performer Award for his contribution to reviving business in DEN.

    In a quick span of nine months, he brought two new customers on board, DEN and YUPPTV, with substantial revenues in 2017.

    Summer completed a senior executive leadership programme at Harvard Business School in 2018.

    MUMBAI: Mindshare, the media services company that is part of WPP, has appointed Sidharth Parashar as the chief investment officer of Mindshare APAC. Formerly the president of investments & pricing at GroupM India, Sidharth will be based in Singapore and will be part of the Mindshare APAC leadership team.

    Reporting to Mindshare APAC chief executive officer Helen McRae, Sidharth will focus on enhancing Mindshare’s investment strategy across local markets as well as driving Intentional Investment and the opportunity for Good Growth in the region.

    Mumbai: Kinnect India on Wednesday announced that it has won the digital mandate for R K Marble & Granite, which is an Indian conglomerate and a global trendsetter in the world of Natural Stone.

    The mandate includes creative strategy and execution, social media management, and planning and executing performance-focused media campaigns for the brand across all channels.

    The account will be managed out of Kinnect India’s Gurgaon office.

    Dentsu Creative India appoints Ajeet Shukla as group executive creative director

    Mumbai: Dentsu Creative India on Wednesday announced the appointment of Ajeet Shukla as group executive creative director. He will report to Taproot Dentsu and Isobar India chief creative officer Aalap Desai.

    In his new role, Shukla will drive Dentsu Creative’s global proposition to transform brands and businesses through the power of ‘Modern Creativity’ in the western region of the country. His focus will be to breathe life into the best possible creative solutions that are strongly anchored in culture, innovation, and technology, said the agency in a statement.

    Prior to this, Shukla was with Publicis India as executive creative director.     Mumbai: Havas Worldwide India on Wednesday announced the appointment of Anupama Ramaswamy as its chief creative officer. She comes on board to further catapult the creative transformation of the agency, which has seen unparalleled business growth over the last three years. Anupama’s last stint was with Dentsu Impact, where she was working as the managing partner and national creative director.

    Ravinder Siwach, who has been leading the creative mandate of Havas Worldwide India as executive director and national creative director, is moving on to pursue new opportunities. He will be with the agency till October 2022.

    Ramaswamy will be reporting to Havas Group India chairman and chief creative officer Bobby Pawar, and will begin her new role at the agency effective October 2022. She will also work closely with Havas Worldwide India managing director Manas Lahiri.

    Ramaswamy will be based out of the agency’s Gurgaon office, overlooking the complete client roster of both Gurgaon and Mumbai offices that have witnessed tremendous business growth over the last three years. This includes some of the biggest global and Indian brands, including Reckitt, Dabur, Tata Group, P&G, Stellantis, Vivo, Aegon Life, Fortis, Suzuki, UTI Mutual Fund, Celio, William Grant, amongst others. In 2021 alone, Havas Worldwide India garnered over 30 per cent growth across its Mumbai and Gurgaon offices on the back of significant business wins, resulting in it being consistently ranked in the top three in the R3 New Business League Creative Agency list.

    Through her career, Ramaswamy has worked with some of the leading agencies in India and several marquee global and indigenous brands across sectors, including Maruti Suzuki, Ikea, Vivo, Paytm, Subway, Tata Tea Digital, Samsung Mobiles, Airtel, Dabur, Lacoste, Whirlpool and many more.     Mumbai: The tech-enabled B2B platform, Bizongo, has announced the appointment of former Freshworks director, Deepanjan Chattopadhyay as the vice president of Product. The announcement follows a series of acquisitions, including Clean Slate and Hexa, to enhance Bizongo’s tech stack.

    Deepanjan’s appointment will help bolster Bizongo’s efforts to deliver an integrated experience to its customers, enhance product offerings to digitally transform the entire supply chain for MSMEs, and drive improved business performance, said the company in a statement.
