    ABP Majha appoints Sarita Kaushik as deputy executive editor

    Mumbai: ABP Majha announced that it has elevated Sarita Kaushik as the deputy executive editor, effective from 29 August 2022. She will be taking charge of the entire content of ABP Majha.

    This is a significant move in the Marathi news space as it’s the first time ever that a woman has been appointed as an editor of a Marathi news channel. ABP Majha’s entire editorial team will report to Sarita. She will be reporting to ABP News & ABP Majha executive vice president Rajiv Khandekar.

    Sarita has a rich experience of almost 25 years in the field. She joined the ABP Network in the year 2008 as the Maharashtra region’s bureau chief. She has vast experience in handling political and internal security beats in print, electronic as well as regional media.

    She has several prestigious accolades to her name, for many of which she was the first one to receive them after they were instituted. Some of them being: the first state-level outstanding journalism award by the Mantralaya Vidhimandal Vartahar Sangh at the hands of then governor Ch. Vidyasagar Rao and then chief minister Devendra Fadnavis; Maharshi Narad Puraskar; and the Shobha Vinod Memorial Journalist of the Year award at the hands of Shatrughan Sinha.

    Sarita has studied media in the US through the ambassadorial scholarship of Rotary International. She has also co-edited “Unmasking India,” a best-seller book by union minister Nitin Gadkari. Moreover, she has independently authored “Better than the Dream,” which is considered to be a one-of-a-kind narrative of an infrastructure project.

    Mumbai: Havas Life Sorento (HLS), the health division agency of Havas Group India, has announced the appointment of John Mathew as president. As a part of his role, John will oversee the HLS business in collaboration with the Global Havas Health & You (HHY) team.

    He will work towards providing a new horizon to the existing business while additionally creating a reliable gateway for new business opportunities. John will support Havas Life Sorento managing director Sangeeta Barde in further building the agency’s perception and position in the market.

Over the course of his career, he has also founded and introduced four different consumer health platforms.

    Prabha Narasimhan takes over as managing director of Colgate-Palmolive India

    Mumbai: After a stint of over two decades at Hindustan Unilever, Prabha Narasimhan has joined Colgate-Palmolive India as managing director. Previously, she served as an executive director at the FMCG major before moving on from the company earlier this year in May 2022. Narasimhan takes over the reins of the oral care major from Ram Raghavan, who has moved to a global role.

    Narasimhan confirmed the development through a post on LinkedIn: “Everyone deserves a future they can smile about is the core philosophy of the Colgate brand. Today, as I start my new journey with Colgate, this definitely made me smile. Over the last three months, I have had the opportunity to travel across 6 different countries and 7 offices to meet and understand this business and its people, and it has been an amazing experience. I am now excited and eager to work with the Colgate Palmolive team in India on brands that I have grown up with and a business that is an absolute powerhouse,” she wrote.

    Narasimhan joined Hindustan Unilever as a regional marketing manager in 2006. She worked her way up to become the vice president of the personal care category in 2015, before going on to become the vice president of the skin care category. In 2020, she was promoted to the position of executive director.

    In the past, she has also served a stint with the Aditya Birla Group as general manager – Strategy at Madura Garments.

    Mumbai: Digitas India, the marketing & technology services brand from Publicis Groupe, has made key senior-level appointments at the agency. It has named Mohammedullah Shaikh as senior vice president and head of technology services, and Richa Chugh as vice president of media. The appointments are in line with Digitas India’s plans to strengthen its core product offerings in keeping with the increasing demand for digital technology services & media solutions from the marketplace. The duo will report to Digitas India COO Sonia Khurana.

    Mohammedullah (Shariq) comes with an experience of 22+ years in technology consulting and governance. He will lead all technology services mandates at the agency and will work closely with Sonia Khurana (COO) and Roopesh Pujari (CTO, Publicis Groupe) to bring in the best technology service offering for the clients.

    Richa has over 11 years of experience across various digital media, ranging from creative to social media, tech, and media planning. She joins Digitas India from Motivator, where she was digital head-west region.

    Mumbai: Dentsu Creative India’s digital creative agency Dentsu Webchutney on Thursday announced that it has won the digital mandate for online travel company MakeMyTrip. The account was won following a multi-agency pitch and will be serviced from the agency’s Mumbai office.

    As per the mandate, the agency will focus on further building MakeMyTrip’s already-vibrant digital presence by implementing an aggressive creative growth strategy.

    Mumbai: Home interiors brand HomeLane has announced another addition to their CXO suite, with the appointment of Aveek Nandi as senior vice president – product and head of customer experience. Nandi previously worked for Vedantu, Yulu Mobility, and Delhivery, and has over 12 years of experience in product, P&L, and operations.

    In his role at HomeLane as the senior vice president-product, he will be working towards building a more competitive product and technology-led organisation. Additionally, as the head of customer experience, Nandi has been entrusted with the goal of ensuring that HomeLane consistently delivers a seven-star experience to its customers.

    MUMBAI: Mobile OEM user acquisition specialist, AVOW has appointed Sandeep Negi as its new associate director of sales, India. Negi will lead all of AVOW’s business development initiatives in the country as part of the company’s domestic expansion plans while positioning AVOW as a household name in the mobile OEM marketing ecosystem in the region. He will operate out of AVOW’s branch office in Bengaluru, and become its fifth member in this local office.
