    FCB Ulka appoints Shreekant Srinivasan as senior VP and business director

    MUMBAI: FCB Ulka has announced the appointment of Shreekant Srinivasan as senior vice president and business director at its Delhi office. In his new role at FCB, Srinivasan will be heading iconic brands, like Horlicks, Hero MotoCorp, Hamdard, along with Boeing.

    Srinivasan, who has earlier worked with agenices like BBH, Leo Burnett, McCann Worldwide, and Weiden and Kennedy, comes with 20 years of extensive experience of the field. He has played a key role in launching new offices, building cohesive teams and managing some illustrious brands such as GM, Tinder and Royal Enfield to name a few. 

    Commenting on the appointment, FCB Ulka president north and east Debarpita Banerjee said, “Shreekant has a proven track record of leadership, advertising flair, and business growth. He will be heading a lion’s share of this ever-growing branch at FCB. We are excited to have him over and are confident that he will lead this business with bigger better ideas on our brands.” 

    Speaking on his new role, Srinivasan said, “Sometimes things just click.     Havas Media India appoints R Venkatasubramanian as national head of investments

    MUMBAI: Havas Media India has announced the appointment of R Venkatasubramanian as national head of investments. Venkat joins the agency from Initiative Media where he was serving as senior vice president.

    A former Havas employee, Venkat has over 22 years of experience in advertising specialising in media buying. He has worked with clients across sectors such as Maruti, Suzuki Motor cycle, DishTV, RB, MG Motor, Usha International and InfoEdge.

    In his new role, Venkat will be based out of Gurgaon and will be responsible for driving media investments, partnerships, and strategic thinking for all Havas Media clients across markets.

    Ajay Gahlaut joins Publicis Worldwide India as chief creative officer and managing director

    MUMBAI: Ajay Gahlaut, who had recently stepped down from the position of chief creative officer of Ogilvy North and deputy chief creative officer of Ogilvy India, has joined Publicis Worldwide India as chief creative officer and managing director. Publicis confirmed the appointment in a press statement and shared that Ajay will be based out of agency’s Mumbai office.

    He will begin his stint at Publicis on 4 February 2019.

    On joining Publicis Worldwide India, Ajay said, “I’m looking forward to my journey with Publicis. The new age thinking here excites me. It’s a nimble set up based on the principles of collaboration and integration to deliver the ‘Power of One’. The quality of work is already solid and I look forward to working with the teams to raise the creative bar both in terms of variety and quality of work.”

    Prior to Ogilvy, Ajay has had stints with McCann, Saatchi & Saatchi, among others. With over 25 years of experience, he has worked on world-renowned brands such as Pernod Ricard, BMW, KFC, Taco Bell, Dabur, Perfetti Van Melle, Mother Dairy, Pizza Hut, Sprite, Best Foods, HT Mint, Philips, among others.

    Mullen Lintas appoints Azazul Haque, Garima Khandelwal as CCOs

    MUMBAI: Mullen Lintas, announcing its new creative leadership, has named Azazul Haque and Garima Khandelwal as its new chief creative officers. While Haque joins from Ogilvy, where he was CCO-South, Khandelwal has been elevated from the executive creative director post from within the agency. The announcement closely follows Vikas Mehta’s appointment as the agency’s chief executive office.

    Both of them will be based out of the agency’s Mumbai office.

    Haque started his career with Lowe Lintas (then Lowe Lintas + Partners) back in 2001. Over the years that followed, he has worked with Bates, Publicis, Mudra, McCann, Contract, and Ogilvy on well-known brands like Nescafe, Coca Cola, Nestle Maggi, Domino’s Pizza, Dabur, Maruti Suzuki, Havells, Amazon, Titan and Motorola, ICICI Bank, Bajaj Auto, and Rajasthan Tourism, among others.

    Khandelwal had kicked-off her career in advertising with Ogilvy Delhi approximately 18 years ago. She moved to Mullen Lintas in 2015, and her former role as executive creative director gave her an opportunity to influence the creative direction for some of India’s most celebrated brands. As the founding member of Team Mullen Lintas, she is responsible for the agency’s marquee work such as – Motilal Oswal (Equity experts), Tata Tea (Alarm bajne se pehle Jaago Re), MTV Beats, Bajaj Avenger (Feel Like God + Independence Day) and Too Yumm (National launch). Before moving to Mullen Lintas, she has also worked with Lowe Lintas where she lent her creative expertise to a diverse set of clients across categories. Some of the clients that she has been associated with include Suzlon PALS, Tata Tea (Kala Teeka), Axe (Boat Party), Liva, etc. She has also worked for Leagas Delaney, on the Skoda account for the European market, based out of Prague.

    Marico India appoints Koshy George as CMO

    MUMBAI: Marico Ltd has appointed Koshy George as chief marketing officer, Marico India. In his new role, George will be responsible for leading the brand marketing initiatives of the company. He will report to Saugata Gupta, MD and CEO and will be a part of Marico’s executive committee.

    Commenting on the appointment, Gupta said, “I am very happy to welcome back Koshy to the Marico family.     Koshy George brings with him more than 17 years of sales and marketing experience across diverse categories such as personal care, home care, and foods. He started his career with Marico India in 2001 as a management trainee and was an area sales manager before moving to Hindustan Unilever. His most recent role was global marketing director – skin cleansing. During his tenure with Unilever, Koshy has worked across building and transforming various brands and categories.

    MUMBAI: iProspect India, the digital performance agency from Dentsu Aegis Network has announced two new additions to its creative team; Bobby Thomas and Dhanesh MS, both of whom will join as creative directors.

    Based out of Bangalore, Bobby and Dhanesh will report to iProspect India VP—South Krishna Kumar Revanur.

    Bobby, who has worked with agencies such as Ogilvy and McCann Worldgroup, has over 13 years of experience in advertising. He has worked across a variety of brands including TVS, BharatBenz, Suzuki, Britannia, ITC, Indiamart, Tata Teleservices, Myntra, Jabong, Infosys, Lenovo, IBM, and Ola amongst others.

    On joining iProspect India as creative director—south, Bobby Thomas said, “iProspect is digitally evolved and it caters to market leaders in the digital space. My stint here will help me further enhance my talent in digital as I foresee a great deal of opportunities coming my way.”

    With a career spanning over 14 years, Dhanesh started his career with FCB Ulka, Cochin. He has worked with Ogilvy, Grey Worldwide, RK Swamy BBDO, Star,k and Method Advertising.

    Sushanth Pai joins Matrimony.com as CFO

    MUMBAI: Matrimony.com, the online matchmaking and marriage services has announced the appointment of Sushanth Pai as CFO with effect from 15 December 2018.

    He is joining from Mindtree Limited where he’s currently AVP – Finance. Before that he was with GE Capital International Services and KPMG. Pai is an alumnus of Sydenham College (Mumbai) and has attained his CA degree from ICAI.

    Pai said, “I am very excited to be part of Matrimony.com's leadership team and growth plans. The company has created a strong value proposition over the years and this leads into an interesting journey ahead."

    Havas Group India appoints Bobby Pawar as chief creative officer

    MUMBAI: Havas Group on 26 November announced the appointment of Bobby Pawar as the chairman and chief creative officer. He is currently serving as the managing director and chief creative officer at Publicis Worldwide and will be commencing his new role from January 2019.

    Taking up the full responsibilities of integrated operations and looking after the creative propositions of the Group, Bobby Pawar will report to chairman and CEO Vishnu Mohan.

    Pawar has been in the advertising industry for more than two decades and has offered his services to agencies such as Publicis, JWT, DDB Mudra Group, BBDO Chicago, and Ogilvy New York in the past.
