    Isobar India announces key elevations and leadership changes

    MUMBAI: Isobar, the digital agency from the house of Dentsu Aegis Network, has announced key leadership changes across the country.

    Anadi Sah has been promoted to executive creative director, in addition to his current role of lead innovation, technology & creative. As part of this new mandate, Sah will now spearhead Isobar’s innovation and creative unit at a national level along with Isobar India chief creative officer Anish Varghese.

    Business head Gurgaon Himanshu Arora will now be associate vice president, taking in charge of the agency’s business for North region.

    Aakriti Sinha, currently director, social media, will now be national head for Isobar’s social media practice and will be responsible for scaling up the agency’s social media solutions.

    Director, business Madhura Ranade will take charge as head – branded content & partnerships, Isobar’s new service offering. She will be responsible for driving content consulting and strategy with an all-encompassing data-led approach towards platform and content recommendation to drive business results. Her role will also look after content consulting towards branded IP creation to create properties that are brand-safe, drive the brand vision and generate value.

    On the appointment, Isobar South Asia group MD Shamsuddin Jasani said, “We are preparing for the next stage of growth for Isobar India. We have identified the leaders of Isobar who will work with us to take the agency to greater heights. Anadi, Himanshu, Madhura, and Aakriti have played an important role in developing the vision and leadership needed to shape our business and brand strategy across our creative, marketing and technology functions.     The elevations will boost an accelerated growth by forging stronger ties between the agency, partners and clients, along with streamlining business verticals and fortifying operational efficiency. With these elevations, Isobar will further drive the global agenda of experience-led transformation across its practices.

    Star India ropes in Marico’s Anuradha Aggarwal to head English and kids genres

    MUMBAI: As per media reports, former Marico CMO Anuradha Aggarwal will be joining Star India to head the English and kids channels for the broadcaster. It is going to be her first stint in the broadcast industry.

    Aggarwal, who had left Marico in October last year, comes with almost two decades of experience in marketing in the FMCG category. She has earlier worked with brands like Mondelez and Vodafone India. She had started her career with HUL and had spent initial 12 years of her professional life in the company. She was the category marketing manager for hair care when she had resigned from there.

    Aggarwal holds a PGDBM degree in Marketing Management from IIM Bangalore and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics Honours from Lady Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University.

    HUL’s Vikas Gupta joins Flipkart as head of marketing

    MUMBAI: Former Hindustan Unilever general manager Vikas Gupta has reportedly joined Flipkart as head of marketing.

    A media report quoted Flipkart group chief corporate affairs officer Rajneesh Kumar saying, “Vikas is joining Flipkart after a long, successful stint in Unilever where he has worked in multiple countries and in various functions. He is relocating from Indonesia.”

    Gupta had been working with Hindustan Unilever for the past two decades and was working as the general manager at the home care division and VP digital transformation when he resigned.

    Gupta penned down an emotional note on his LinkedIn profile as he bid adieu to HUL. He wrote, “I joined this great company in 1998. Over the last 20 years, it has been my home, my school, my playground, my family and my office. Not only did I get the opportunity to work on some of the biggest and most diverse challenges across multiple functions and product categories, I also got to experience living in 5 different countries cross 3 continents. Deep gratitude for everything I experienced, lived and learnt and most of all the wonderful friends I made in this time. Everything I am today, I owe to this beautiful place we call Unilever and the most talented, caring people that make it so. They say you can take a man out of Unilever but never take out Unilever from the man, so I leave with Unilever beating in my heart, always wishing for its success.  New adventures beckon, new challenges await. So long Unilever. Farewell for now…till we meet again!”

    MediaCom announces changes to Worldwide, EMEA and UK leadership teams

    MUMBAI: MediaCom has promoted Nick Lawson, Josh Krichefski and Kate Rowlinson in changes to its Worldwide, EMEA and UK leadership teams. All changes will come into effect in September.

    Nick Lawson, currently MediaCom’s EMEA CEO and global client practice lead, succeeds Toby Jenner as worldwide chief operating officer. Nick will be responsible for driving the network’s business development, marketing and product offers, while retaining his position as global client practice lead. Nick has been with the agency for 28 years, originally as part of the media business before it merged with MediaCom in 1999.

    Josh Krichefski, who originally joined MediaCom in 2011, replaces Lawson as EMEA CEO, having spent the last three years as UK CEO. He takes responsibility for 4,400 people across 37 offices, driving the vision and culture for the region.

    Josh is replaced as UK CEO by Kate Rowlinson, the agency’s current managing director, Worldwide Hubs who has been part of the network for ten years. She will lead the country’s biggest agency, comprised of 1,250 people across five offices.

With a proficiency in managing Service Delivery, defining SLA’s, contracts, SOP’s he also has a track record of partnering with Technology teams and leveraging automation to drive efficiencies. His last role was with Accenture UK & Ireland where he was based in Dublin and managed key businesses for Accenture EMEA, as the EMEA delivery leader with a 500+ member team based across Dublin, Lisbon and Krakow.

    MUMBAI: OPPO India recently announced the appointment of Sumit Walia as vice president, product & marketing to further strengthen OPPO's product offering and establish a stronger connect with Indian consumers.

    In his new role, Walia will be spearheading the localisation efforts in product and marketing at OPPO India. Strategically appointed, he will be leading the India market and will be focussing on building and growing the OPPO brand in the highly competitive mobile handset space in India.

    MUMBAI: Keeping with developing business needs and investment in talent development, Coca-Cola India has made two-key changes at its top management. It has appointed Sarvita Sethi as vice-president, merger, and acquisitions (M&A) and new ventures, and Harsh Bhutani as vice president – finance (CFO),  for Coca-Cola India and southwest Asia. The appointments will be effective from 1 August.

    Sethi, who was earlier VP finance India and southwest Asia, had become the first woman to head the company’s finances for the region. In her new role, she will be responsible for the firm’s crucial incubator, which involves conceptualising, developing and launching new products relevant to the market, besides scaling up these new brands or products until they can be managed by general marketing and sales teams.

    Sethi is a chartered accountant with more than 15 years of experience in corporate finance, and had worked for Sainsbury’s and Viacom in London before joining Coca-Cola in 2008.

    She is known for her “results-oriented” mindset and her expertise in financial operations of fast-moving consumer goods firms. Her journey in the professional world began as an audit manager for the global audit and consultancy firm PricewaterhouseCooper in London in 1996. Before joining the professional world, Sethi went to City University London to finish her Bachelor’s in Science degree in economics and accountancy in 1995.

    Bhutani, a veteran at Coke’s bottling arm Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages will take over from Sethi. Before joining HCCB in 1999, he was with Swiss industrial products and solutions conglomerate – Asea Brown Boveri.

    A chartered accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Bhutani has earned a name for himself, among his friends and colleagues, as an efficient business planner.

    MUMBAI: Geometry Encompass, the leading experiential marketing and brand activation agency under WPP Network, has elevated Tanu Randhawa as chief operating officer – north. She will be operating out of the Gurugram office. Earlier, she was managing partner, a position she has held since 2015.

    Randhawa joined Geometry Global Encompass, then Encompass, as an executive in 2000 straight out of college in Chandigarh. In her 19-year long stint with the company, she has grown to specialise in large format live experiences that span across events, exhibitions and brand activations. She has played a pivotal role in some of the award-winning special projects that the company has executed including the BMW i8 launch, opening ceremonies like the South Asian Games and Khelo India School Games and more than 6 Auto Expos for clients like Hyundai, FIAT, Eicher and Mercedes.

    Randhawa has also handled a corporate portfolio of clients like Hyundai, Eicher, and luxury automakers like Mercedes and BMW. She continues to lead the BMW relationship for the agency. As part of the Special Projects team she has worked on several major events like the BRICS Summit and The India Africa Forum Summit among others.

    MUMBAI: OLX India has appointed Sapna Arora as its new chief marketing officer. In her new role, she will be responsible for leading the brand marketing initiatives of the company. Prior to joining OLX, Arora was a partner at Matrix Atlantic Capital, where she worked closely with entrepreneurs to unlock growth opportunities.

    An alumnus of St. Stephens College, Delhi University, Arora holds an MBA Degree from IIM Bangalore. She has extensive experience in leading major brands through a creative turnaround and in inspiring engagement with consumers in new ways and previously has served in various leadership roles at Procter and Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Nestle and Bennett Coleman and has extensive experience of nurturing billion dollar brands such as Pantene, Whisper, Tampax, Tide, Stouffer's, and Mortein, among others.

    Fulcro appoints Akshat Trivedi as executive creative director

    MUMBAI: Fulcro, an integrated digital marketing and communication agency that works with brands to build effective and innovative brand campaigns leveraging the power of creative, technology and data, has appointed Akshat Trivedi as the executive creative director. He will lead the creative team at the venture.

    Trivedi brings over a decade of experience in creative communication to the Fulcro team.

    He started his creative career at Ogilvy, Mumbai. Where he worked on different brands  including Star TV, Cadbury Perk, HUL, Mumbai Indians, Nutrela, and SBI life, to name a few. He also wrote the launch campaigns for youthful brands like Asus Zenfone 4 ‘JinkiDuniyaBadiUnki Selfie Badhi’ and Zeelrainwear’s ‘Fiyer’ film.

    Trivedi is renowned for writing SaregamaCaravaan’s sensitive campaigns like ‘Aapkepehleypyaarkeliye, aapkimaakekiye’, ‘Iss Diwali Shor YaSangeet’, andJinheshaayadaapkabhikehnahipaaye,unhekahiye‘Thank You’ have been impactful in creating a pure voice for the brand. Carvaan’s Mother campaign not only won people’s hearts but also creative and effectiveness awards.

    Apart from this, as a creative consultant to Coverfox, he scripted the campaign ‘Cover Karo, KaamAayega’ that also bagged the South Asia Pacific Gender sensitivity Award at LaadliAwards.
