  • Great Learning launches “Naye Zamaane Ki Degree”

    Mumbai: Edtech company for higher and professional education Great Learning of  launched its new brand campaign #NayeZamaaneKiDegree in a bid to create awareness about the new age degree programs in different specializations offered by various universities through their platform.

    The campaign is targeted towards freshers and young professionals who are looking for career growth. According to the company, it is a creative attempt to draw attention to the fact that people’s lives have changed in countless ways over the years – lifestyle choices, gadgets, lingo etc., but the world of degrees has stayed largely unchanged. But after the formal recognition received to online degrees by UGC under the New Education Policy acquiring the new age degrees has become affordable and accessible, it said.

    Great learning offers UGC recognized new age degrees- MBA, MCA, BBA etc. from sever Indian universities, in cutting- edge specialisations like Data Science, Cloud Computing, Digital Marketing etc. “These degrees will help learners acquire industry relevant skills to score lucrative jobs and build successful careers,” said the company.

    As part of the campaign, the brand has also announced a social media contest for the audience where they are inviting creative minds to submit their version of quirky headlines that would capture the essence of the #NayeZamaaneKiDegree. The brand will also be rewarding some top entries in the contest, which is live on the Facebook, Instagram of the brand.

    The brand started the campaign across its social media channels- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn from 1 June.

    Great Learning appoints Aparna Mahesh as chief marketing officer

    NEW DELHI: Great Learning, one of India’s leading ed-tech companies for professional and higher education has appointed Aparna Mahesh as the company’s chief marketing officer (CMO). She will be responsible for managing Great Learning’s global marketing strategy, development and delivery of brand communication, strategic marketing partnerships and user engagement.

    Aparna joins Great Learning with more than two decades of experience under her belt and a track record of building and nurturing successful brands nationally and internationally.

    Her previous role was chief marketing officer of BankBazaar, a leading fintech company. Prior to that, as VP Marketing at Quikr, Aparna was part of the early team and drove all brand building that made Quikr a well-known and trusted name. Aparna has also worked in the U.S and U.K devising communication for brands like Microsoft, MasterCard, and Royal Mail.

    NEW DELHI: Great Learning has launched its first multi-film ad campaign featuring brand ambassador, Virat Kohli. The campaign consists of a series of ad films titled, ‘Power Ahead – Jo Seekhta Hai Wahi Aage Badhta Hai’. It focuses on the importance of lifelong learning and showcases how upskilling is a necessary step for students and professionals to power ahead in their careers. The ad films will air across 40 national channels like across sports, entertainment, news, and music. The ad films will also be aired on OTT platform Disney + Hotstar throughout the Dream 11 Indian Premier League 2020, for which the brand is an Associate Sponsor. The campaign has been conceptualized by Sideways and directed by Cornerstone.

    The ad films open with Virat addressing the audience while reflecting on Great Learning’s philosophy of lifelong learning as a necessity for success. Virat himself personifies this philosophy and believes that career success comes to those who are always looking to learn something new, especially in a world where things are changing so rapidly around us. While striking a conversation with the viewers, Virat emphasizes the need to keep learning to stay on top of one’s game. ‘Cricket ho ya koi bhi career jo seekhta hai wahi aage badhta hai,’ he quips in these films.
