  • Spicejet to continue with Grey as creative AoR; JWT to work on project basis

    MUMBAI: Spicejet, the low-cost airline company from the Sun Group, has decided to continue with Grey as its creative agency of record.

    Contrary to media reports, WPP‘s JWT has not replaced Grey as the creative agency. It will, however, be working with Spicejet on a project basis.

    A source close to the development informed indiantelevision.com, “The airline has decided to continue with Grey as its main creative agency. JWT has been roped in to work on a specific project. From a proximity point of view, the agency‘s Delhi office has been asked to handle the project.”

    Grey had won the Spicejet creative account in April 2012 following a multi agency pitch. Before Grey, Contract Advertising handled the account from 2009 to March 2012 when the terms of the contract expired.

  • Star Plus appoints Contract Advertising as creative AoR

    MUMBAI: Star India‘s general entertainment channel Star Plus has appointed JWT‘s Contract Advertising to handle its creative duties.

    The account was earlier serviced by Ogilvy.

    The decision comes after the channel called for a pitch in the latter half of 2012.

    The agency‘s Mumbai office will be in charge of the account.

  • Manhattan Digital is Zodiac Jewels’ digital AoR

    MUMBAI: Manhattan Digital, the digital arm of Manhattan Communications India, has been appointed as the Digital AoR for jewellery brand Zodiac Jewels.

    The agency will handle the entire digital portofolio for Zodiac Jewels.

    Manhattan Communications India co-promoter and director Shantonu Aditya said, “We are very happy to have bagged this prestigious account. As leaders in this category, we shall work towards growing the online and ecommerce opportunity for Zodiac Jewels.”

    Manhattan Digital, the digital service of the agency, is headquartered in Mumbai and offers 360 degree online services – ad network, search, social media, ORM and analytics.

  • Madison Media is Radikal Rice’s media AoR

    MUMBAI: Madison Media has bagged the media mandate of Radikal Rice following a multi-agency pitch that saw participation of agencies like MEC, Zenith Optimedia and Carat.

    The account size is estimated to be around Rs 250 million and will be handled by Platinum Media in Delhi, Madison said.

    Madison Media group CEO Gautam Kiyawat said, “We are excited to partner with this new age food Company, and are looking forward to helping them gain their rightful share in India’s growing food
    industry.”

    Radikal Overseas managing director Siddharth Chaudhary said, “After reviewing several agencies, we found the right partner in Madison Media, given their expertise of the Indian media market and proven track record. I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership”.

    Radikal is manufacturer and supplier of premium basmati rice with
    nutritive value.

    For the record, Madison Media has also won media duties of brands like Dixcy Textiles, Enamor Lingerie, Gowardhan Dairy and Crompton Greaves this year.

  • MPG bags Yebhi.com media mandate

    MUMBAI: Big Show Bazaar-owned online shopping portal Yebhi.com has signed Havas Group‘s flagship media agency MPG to handle their media duties.

    The move is part of the company‘s strategy to accelerate growth and reach and establish a bigger brand footprint. MPG will be the AOR (Agency of Record) and handle the media planning and buying for Yebhi.com.

  • Carat wins Allergan India’s media biz

    MUMBAI: Global technology-driven multi-specialty healthcare company Allergan has appointed Aegis‘ Carat Media Services as its media AOR in India.

    Currently the communication is targeted at the affluent and discerning consumers especially women SEC A, middle-aged 35 years and above through a combination of dailies, magazines and digital strategy Allergan India director sales and marketing Anuja Naik said, “Their innovative approach to media was critical in creating the initial buzz and maintain the desired saliency within the tight budgets.”

  • Blossom Kochhar appoints Carat Media as media AoR

    MUMBAI: Blossom Kochhar Group of Companies, dealing with aromatherapy-based cosmetics and oils, has appointed Carat Media to handle its media planning and buying duties.

    The Aegis Media agency will provide media communication management exercise to the company and will manage the media responsibilities that include planning, buying and execution.

    The agency plans to deploy mediums like print, digital, OOH and activation.

  • Carat Media is media AoR of Embassy of Ireland

    MUMBAI: Embassy of Ireland has appointed Carat Media as its media AoR.

    The agency‘s mandate will be to promote Ireland as a tourist, business and educational destination.

    The account will be handled out of the agency‘s Mumbai office.

  • Yang Communications is Red FM’s creative AoR

    MUMBAI: Yang Communications, the agency from the house of Saints and Warriors, has won the creative duties of Red FM.

    The agency was selected after a multi-agency pitch that involved participation from agencies like Lowe Lintas, DDB Mudra, Law & Kenneth and Scarecrow Communications apart from Yang Saints & Warriors.

    Yang communications managing Partner Sanjay Sharma said, “Radio is a relatively neglected medium compared to TV and Print in this country but in our opinion it has the maximum potential.   • Taproot to handle Airtel’s Data Services campaign

    MUMBAI: Following the success of “‘har friend zaroori hai, yaar” campaign conceptualised by Taproot India, Airtel has entrusted the creative agency with one more campaign.

    The agency has bagged the creative mandate for Airtel Data Services‘ campaign following a multi-agency pitch.

    JWT is the creative AoR (Agency on Records) for Airtel while Taproot India has been hired on a project basis.

    Airtel had also taken its “har friend zaroori hai, yaar” campaign to the next level with the launch of an online viral campaign at its YouTube channel. Taproot India had created 20 videos for the digital campaign, inspired by ‘friend types‘ or tags created by the online audience on Facebook during an outreach programme initiated by Airtel earlier.
