    Mumbai: Naukri.com and Disney+ Hotstar have announced the launch of ‘Hardly Working by Naukri,’ a standup show that humorously explores the lighter side of office culture.

    The series features an exceptional lineup of India’s top comedians, including Prashasti Singh, Anirban Dasgupta, Shreeja Chaturvedi, Nishant Suri, and Kumar Varun. Each comedian brings their unique style and perspective to the show, ensuring a diverse range of humor and a fresh take on every episode. Notably, all these talented artists have had firsthand experience in the corporate world, adding authenticity to their performances.

    The show delves into relatable and comedic moments, from common workplace situations and quirky coworkers to awkward meetings and office politics, reflecting universal truths that resonate with anyone who has ever worked in an office.

    The show is part of Naukri.com’s ongoing commitment to engage with Gen-Z professionals and address all aspects of their careers.     Happydent hosts stand-up comedy show for hearing impaired

    Mumbai: Happydent, Perfetti Van Melle India’s beloved chewing gum brand, has always been known for enabling sparkling smiles through its brand proposition “Dikha Battissi Kar Baat Achhi Si”. For the first time ever in India, Happydent hosted a one of its kind stand-up comedy show “Sign to Smile” in Mumbai on World Smile Day for the hearing impaired, breaking the barriers and embracing inclusivity. The show witnessed some of India’s favourite stand-up comedians taking the stage including Abhishek Upmanyu, Urooj Ashfaq, Anirban Dasgupta, Shreeja Chaturvedi, Shashwat Maheshwari, Madhvendra Singh along with three sign language translators who played a pivotal role in translating the show seamlessly. It also featured Shubham Chaudhary, an ISL (Indian Sign Language) performer and actor, who added a unique comedic dimension to the show while making it accessible to all.

    In line with the World Smile Day theme ‘Do something kind and make someone smile’, the event proved that humor knows no boundaries. Happydent’s pioneering initiative not only showcased its dedication to spreading sparkling smiles but also underscored the importance of making the world a more inclusive place for all.

    Amazon Prime Video to stream Afsos from 17 Jan

    MUMBAI: Amazon Prime Video has announced the trailer of much-awaited series Afsos. Produced by Only Much Louder (OML), the suspense thriller is a dark comedy about a suicidal man, a maverick monk and a deadly assassin amidst the realm of immortality. The eight-episode series is co-created by Dibya Chatterjee and renowned comedian Anirban Dasgupta and will be available for the members across 200 countries and territories as a binge starting 17 January 2020.

    Anirban Dasgupta, who marks his debut as a show creator, said, “Afsos is my second collaboration with Amazon Prime Video after my special ‘Take It Easy’. Both these experiences have been memorable and I am happy that this unique series has found its home on the service.     Nakul’s only goal in life is to seek some sort of closure. After several failed suicide attempts, he pays for his own death. Upadhyay, a deadly women assassin is assigned to get the job done, but Nakul has a change of heart. He chooses to live, however Upadhyay never leaves a job undone. A riveting cat and mouse chase ensues while a divine intervention flips everything upside down in this black comedy thriller.
