    Mumbai: In a significant development for music and film enthusiasts, Aditya Rikhari’s track ‘Jaana Samjho Na’ has been reimagined for the upcoming Bollywood blockbuster Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Tripti Dimri, this project marks Aditya’s debut in Bollywood.

    With its touching lyrics and melody, ‘Jaana Samjho Na’ has already gained attention as part of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 tracklist. The song received praise at the recent album launch, with lead actress Tripti Dimri calling it her favorite. Kartik Aaryan also expressed his admiration for Aditya’s voice, noting that his personal love for the track led to its inclusion in the film.

    Directed by Anees Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the latest installment in the popular horror-comedy franchise. Aditya’s track is expected to enhance the film’s musical appeal and storytelling.

    Mumbai: At Ficci Frames Fast Track 2022, Jio Studios along with producer Mahaveer Jain, launched an initiative, Newcomers.

    A consortium of 23 leading Indian filmmakers like Rajkumar Hirani, Rohit Shetty, Sukumar, Ashutosh Gowariker, Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Gauri Shinde and R. Balki, Aanand L Rai, Anees Bazmee, A.R.Murugadoss, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitish Tiwari, Ram Madhvani, Ali Abbas Zafar, Siddharth Anand, Raj & DK, Abhishek Sharma, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Amit Sharma, Jagan Shakti, Vishnuvardhan has been formed. They will mentor and launch new talent.

    MUMBAI: Sony Pictures Networks Productions (SPNP), a division of Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN), has announced their next film titled Mubarakan. In a casting coup of sorts, SPNP has roped in the real life chacha- bhatija Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor for this film. The duo will replicate the same camaraderie that they share in real life on screen too.

    The film also stars Ileana D’Cruz, Athiya Shetty, Amrita Singh amongst others.

    Mubarakan is a laugh riot with confusions galore, laughter, love, egos and emotions.

    “We are very excited to embark on our journey for Mubarakan. From drama to horror to slice of life cinema and now comedy, we aim to present content that engages, evokes and entertains our audiences. I am certain that Mubarakan will be one of the most anticipated movies of 2017 and we look forward to receiving the same overwhelming support like we have in our previous movies”, said SPNP Dy president and head Sneha Rajani.

    This family comedy will be directed by Anees Bazmee and is produced by SPNP and Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios. The film has been written by Balli Januja and Rupinder Chahal and is all set to go on the floors by November 2016. It is slated for a 28 July 2017 release.

    Bazmee said, “Mubarakan is one of the best scripts I’ve come across in recent times. That’s what attracted me to it primarily. The highlight of the film will be Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor coming together for the first time on screen. The madness of the script along with the fantastic ensemble cast, we are all set to create something that will be unparalleled.”

    Bazmee has to its credit an array of movies directed by him like last film Welcome Back, Ready, etc.

    Shot at various extravagant locations of Dubai, the movie revolves around Uday Shetty (Nana Patekar) and Majnu (Anil Kapoor) who have quit the underworld and become ethical businessmen. It is revealed that Shankar Shetty (Uday’s father also enacted by Nana Patekar) has a second daughter Ranjana (Shruti Haasan) and her marriage is Uday’s responsibility. The twist in the story comes when Ranjana and a hot hunk – Ajay aka Ajju (John Abraham), a well-known street smart criminal falls in love. Having left the crime world, Uday and Majnu try every trick in the book to separate the young couple, but in vain. That is when they decide to take help of the most powerful don Wanted Bhai (Naseeruddin Shah).

    Producer Gaurang Doshi signs Anees Bazmee & Abbas Mustan for two films

    MUMBAI: Producer Gaurang Doshi, who has previously produced films like the Amitabh Bachchan starrerAankhen (2002) and Deewaar: Let’s Bring Our Heroes Home (2004), has now signed directors Anees Bazmee and Abbas-Mustan for his upcoming projects.

     

    While Bazmee will be helming  a slick, big-budget, heist caper, Abbas-Mustan’s project is being touted as a never-seen-before adventure action romance with elements of spook.

     

    Doshi said, “I always wanted to work with these directors and there couldn’t be a better genre, better cast and better scripts for these projects!”

     

    However, Doshi is tight-lipped about the cast of the films. “What’s the fun in knowing everything all at once? The big announcement shall happens soon,” he signs off.
