App launched by Tourism Ministry for Incredible India to help tourists

NEW DELHI: The Tourism Ministry has launched an Android mobile application of Incredible India’s official trip planning and destination discovery App Tripigator.com.

Being the first and only instant travel planning engine Tripigator.com, the app creates personalised itineraries matching user preferences.  It has integrated maps and geo-location based discovery of details which further improves travelers’ in-destination experience. Being a first of its kind personalised traveler planning engine, Tripigator.com instantly generates personalised travel itinerary on fewer inputs and significantly reduces user’s effort by replacing 10 tabs to 1 tab. The website www.tripigator.com is already an official travel planner of the Ministry and is available on Incredible India’s website.

Tripigator helps both domestic and international travelers in planning their trips seamlessly by asking basic inputs such as timeline, budget, areas of interest (adventure, romantic, nature etc.) and destinations of choice. The technology creates a range of travel itineraries in no time and ranks them as per users’ experience.

Tripigator offers a seamless user experience and visually appealing user interface, which complements the core technology. Tripigator aggregates the information from all over the web to create structured travel data and applies decision science and remarkable technology to create personalised holiday itineraries with live prices.

It not only creates personalised itineraries, but also helps users to share them with their travel companions, enabling greater collaboration in travel planning process.

During the launch Ministry Secretary Parvez Dewan said the Android application offers travelers a unique planning experience, and travelling to and within India will be at the tourists’ fingertips.  The price sensitivity feature offered in the software will help people to plan holidays as per their budget, he said.

The app can be downloaded from:

Launched in partnership with Incredible India of the Ministry in May this year,  www.tripigator.com has so far assisted one lakh users from over 40 countries to plan holidays in India.

Google+ Social sign in now live on Speakingtree.in

MUMBAI: Times Internet and Google have announced the implementation of Google+ Social sign on its spiritual network – Speakingtree.in

The integration not only simplifies the sign-in process but also maximises interactions and sharing of content among the spiritually inclined on the portal. Signing in through Google allows users to seamlessly share content including articles, tips on meditation, spiritual blogs, forums and conversations thus eliminating the need to create a new username and password. The implementation also enables a one click install of the Android application thus maximising consumption of articles on the move, the company said in a statement.

The integration has been demoed at the Google I/O this year and is the only representation from the social space in India.

Times Internet vice president Archana Vohra said, "Google Social Sign helps make sign in more convenient and allows our engaged users to easily access, discover and share exclusive content. The over the air Android install extends our brand engagement across devices."

"We had an extremely fast turnaround on the integration of Google social sign in on Speakingtree.in. We look forward to connecting readers on Speakingtree.in and creating even more engaging experiences for them across both Speaking tree and Google," Google strategic partner manager Matt Gaskell said.
