    Sansui unveils #WalkTheRedCarpet contest ahead of Stardust Awards

    MUMBAI: Sansui has announced a contest for all the movie buffs ahead of this year’s Sansui Colors Stardust Awards. Called #WalkTheRedCarpet, the winners will get an opportunity to walk the red carpet at the awards night with their favorite celebrity. The contest which would run on Facebook and Twitter pages of Sansui will end on 12 December.

    Spread over six days, the contest will have three different challenges, which will run for two days each.

    One of the contests would be to create/add Sansui in a song where the participants will be asked to frame a song using some of the keywords such as Sansui, Japanese, Entertainment, Curve, 4K etc. The second level will be dialogues from famous scene. Entries will be given images of a blockbuster dialogue and will be asked to record and share their videos of the same. In dress up like your favorite celebrity, fans will be asked to dress up and pose like their favorite celebrities. The one who gets the closet resemblance to a celebrity stands a chance to win.

    The best entries will be chosen on the basis of the quality of content and winners will be invited to walk the Red Carpet.

    “Sansui Colors Stardust Awards is one of the most prestigious award ceremony in Bollywood. We look forward to run this contest in line with our association with the awards. We believe that this is the best way we can bring the fans meet their favorite celebrities and interact with them,” said Sansui COO Amitabh Tiwari.

    Another contest on similar lines has been planned on radio to engage with a larger set of audience. Partnered with Radio Mirchi, the contest will run across the country over 39 stations and few luck winners will stand a chance to walk the red carpet.

    Customers who have recently purchased Sansui LED TV can send a simple SMS with the serial number behind the product to 53030 to participate in the contest. Here the winners will be chosen through a lucky draw.

    Colors to pull all stops to make Stardust Awards bigger & better

    MUMBAI: Colors is gearing up to pull all stops to make the 13th edition of the Sansui Colors Stardust Awards bigger and better this year.

     

    The awards, which will be held on 21 December in Mumbai at the Reliance Jio Gardens in BKC, will see more investment being pumped in for a larger stage and bigger performing acts.

     

    A source close to the development informed Indiantelevision.com, “The production cost of last year’s Stardust Awards was approximately Rs 12 crore, which has gone up by 30 per cent this year to approximately Rs 15.6 crore.”

     

    Commenting on this year’s awards, Colors CEO Raj Nayak said, “Last year we partnered with the biggest names in the consumer electronics and publishing business namely Sansui and Stardust to launch The Sansui Colors Stardust Awards. This partnership of three leaders went on to make the Sansui Colors Awards the No. 1 Awards show on Indian television. This year, based on feedback from all stakeholders in the industry, we have re-looked at the categories to make it more credible and robust. Our aim is to make the event exceedingly significant, entertaining and colossal this year.”

    Given their expertise in putting together large scale shows, Cineyug has been roped in as the events partner for the affair. The sets have been designed by Omung Kumar.  

      

    “The award show is planned on a very grand scale this year. Last year we brought Stardust Award from Sony Max to Colors. This year we have a grand star cast with some amazing performances. We also have we have the Dilwale team performing on the award night. Apart from that we have a great line up of actors performing including Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez. This year, we are performing acts on the new grand ground Jio Garden,” said Cineyug Entertainment director Mohammad Morani.

    MUMBAI: As the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricketing extravaganza draws closer, multiple brands have come on board to associate with the tournament and various team franchisees.

    It may be recalled that since the inception of IPL in 2008, Nokia has been one of the principal sponsors of Khan’s team. However this year, the brand, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2014, decided not to renew its sponsorship deal with KKR.

    Meanwhile, ICT giant Huawei India has extend its partnership with Royal Challengers Bangalore for three IPL seasons.
     
     
    The Huawei logo will feature on the front of the RCB jersey as a principal sponsor.
     
     
    Huawei, first associated with RCB in IPL 2014, will also have substantial branding exposure at RCB’s home ground – the Chinnaswamy Stadium, along with in-stadium promotional rights. In addition to this, Huawei and RCB will also launch a series of joint marketing initiatives to engage with their respective consumers and fans across India.
