    Amazon miniTV releases trailer of ‘Lucky Guy’

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV – Amazon’s free video streaming service has been entertaining its viewers with a varied content library spanning multiple genres from action to rom-coms and reality titles. Adding to its repertoire, the streaming service released the trailer of its upcoming rousing fantasy drama – Lucky Guy, in partnership with Swagger Sharma Productions. The trailer gives a glimpse into the show that has a sweet taste of romance, rib tickling comedy and lots of drama. The story unfolds with the introduction of Lucky, essayed by Swagger Sharma, a boy who enters the world bearing a peculiar alignment of stars, making him the luckiest person in the world and earning him a magical necklace. However, as the saying goes, good fortune comes with a cost!

    Can you picture a life where everything goes well and without difficulty for you? You win lotteries! You never get involved in any accidents. Everybody likes you and things always work out for you. Wouldn’t it be perfect? But while you enjoy these perks, you must not forget that you cannot get anything for nothing. Lucky Guy takes us through the life of Lucky, a college student who appears to have it all since birth but is faced with difficult situations when his near and dear ones turn on him. Will he give up on luck or will he take the risk of losing his loved?

    Ranchi’s Rahul Bhagat wins the inaugural season of Amazon miniTV’s Hip Hop India

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV’s dance reality show – Hip Hop India saw a spectacular Grand Finale and the long-awaited results are in. Rahul Bhagat won the inaugural season with a picture-finish win.  The reality show was a dance marathon, with rappers Badshaah and Raftaar adding glitter to the stages with their Swag avatars for the gala grand finale. Judged by dance masters Remo D’Souza and Nora Fatehi, Hip Hop India has witnessed the greatest and toughest battles with incredible raw underground talent from all over India.

    Following seven weeks of fierce competition and electrifying performances, India’s first Hip Hop based dance reality show has concluded with Rahul Bhagat, emerging as the Hip Hop Champion. The 21-year-old defeated two other finalists – dancing crew UGH, and the energetic duo Divyam & Darshan to clinch the trophy at the grand finale. Rahul, who hails from Ranchi, took home the brand new Nissan Magnite Geza Special Edition and the Hip-Hop India Championship belt for his victorious performance. Rahul, the maestro of Popping and Waving, began dancing when he was in the fourth grade and has been enthralling audiences across dance shows for a decade. Having won 10 titles to date, his goal is to foster the authentic hip-hop culture all over Jharkhand.

    The Grand Finale witnessed enthralling dance performances by not just the contestants, but also by the judge Nora Fatehi. The stage also witnessed Remo D’Souza live in action after 3 long years. She set the stage on fire, taking away everyone’s heartbeats with her scintillating dance performance to songs Dilbar ko dil sadke and Divine’s Mirchi. Celebrity judges Badshaah and Raftaar raised the entertainment bar with their dynamic performance packed with energy.

    Judge Remo D’souza said, “Rahul is India’s Hip Hop dancing prodigy. I am elated to see him lifting the Hip Hop Championship Belt. His talent, unwavering passion will be a source of inspiration to the nation, that has led him Gully se Glory Tak! Not just Rahul, but a big shout-out to all the contestants of Hip Hop India who gave it their all. I would like to thank all the audience for their unwavering support and for making the first edition of the show a huge success.”

    Sharing her thoughts, Nora Fatehi said, “We all embarked on this exciting dance journey, to find India’s next hip hop sensation and I couldn’t be happier that Rahul has bagged top honors! His performance throughout the show was nothing short of legendary, and it really showed his commitment and love for hip hop.     Mumbai: Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free streaming service, recently released its first patriotic movie, Rakshak: India’s Braves: Chapter 1, the first instalment of a three-part movie series. The film has garnered abundant acclaim and admiration from viewers across India. Rakshak – Indian’s Braves weaves a story of bravery and sacrifice, followed by Lieutenant Triveni Singh bravely preventing a terror attack at the Jammu Tawi railway station and saving the lives of innocent people.  Featuring Varun Mitra as the lead, the film also features Kanika Mann, essaying the character of Mala, who was slated to get married to Lt. Triveni Singh.

    Expressing her emotions on reading a script of historical importance and significance, Kanika stated, “It’s truly remarkable because this story isn’t a work of fiction; it’s rooted in the extraordinary efforts of our real-life heroes. As an actor, there’s always a desire to portray real-life characters on screen. So, when I was presented with this script, I felt a deep sense of gratitude. It shows the real-life story of Lt. Triveni Singh, a courageous army officer who selflessly saved numerous innocent individuals.  I played ‘Mala’ who is Triveni’s love interest and got a chance to display all the ups and downs a military family deals with.

    Furthermore, Kanika outlined the epoch-making elements of the patriotic film that would pique every viewer’s interest. “I feel the rawness of the film, the characters, the emotions shown, and of course, the incident which took place in 2004, will keep the people hooked to the screens.  I feel like us, so many people didn’t know about this incident, and it needs to be known,” she concluded.

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV has launched its brand campaign “Young Janta Ko Yahi Mangta.” The two quirky advertisements, which feature an astronaut and a ghost, emphasise that the youth of India prefer to watch relatable and entertaining stories-hatke or atrangi.

    The integrated campaign, which was conceptualised by Fatmen, takes a jab at tired tropes like hopeless romantic comedies and dull horror movies, which are no longer appreciated by today’s viewers when it comes to their entertainment preferences.

    Amazon advertising head Girish Prabhu said, “Over the last year, we have seen tremendous growth for Amazon miniTV—our free AVoD (advertising-supported video-on-demand) service. Our user base has grown by almost five times since January, and we are committed to bringing premium, exclusive, and free content to our audiences. We are building on this momentum with an increasing slate of inventive and exclusive content across web series, comedy shows, and unscripted series.”

    He further added, “We are focused on delivering high-quality ad-enabled content to our customers, complemented by the ad technology to help brands showcase their stories with the most digitally savvy customer base in the country.”

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV friendship day campaign #CaseTohBantaHai has marked a new milestone in creating content-led entertaining experiences for its audiences. Interestingly, brands across the vertical started participating in the campaign. 

    When the campaign was unveiled, the streaming service opened the floor to the audiences to put forth an Atrangi Ilzaam on their friends, which is the unifying theme of their tentpole comedy reality show Case Toh Banta Hai. 

    The 360-degree integrated campaign started with Twitterati making funny and outlandish accusations against their friends. Along with that, a barrage of relatable memes inspired by the show also started pouring in. 

    Soon enough, brands jumped onto this bandwagon and #CaseTohBantaHai took over the internet. Over twenty brands including Swiggy, Pizza Hut, Noise, Tinder, Durex, Domino’s Pizza, Baskin-Robbins, Shemaroo, Dunzo, Shaadi.com, Gold’s Gym, PharmEasy, Mad Over Donuts, and Cleartrip joined the digital jest. The brands used this opportunity to poke fun at their customers’ traits, thus leaving the digital-first generation in splits.

Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Chunky Panday, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, and Pankaj Tripathi, amongst others, took to their social media to answer their summons to the katghara. These posts got people talking and amplified the buzz around #CaseTohBantaHai and also the anticipation for the show.

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV, the ad-supported streaming service by Amazon piloted in India, has announced the launch of its new show Case Toh Banta Hai that will begin streaming on 29 July. The platform released the quirky trailer for the show on 18 July.

    Produced by Banijay Asia, the show features actor Riteish Deshmukh, comedian Varun Sharma and influencer Kusha Kapila who play prosecutor, defender and judge in the comedy series. The trio will take popular celebrities including Rohit Shetty, Badshah, Kareena Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor and more to task by charging them with the most oddball allegations.  

    The show has a stellar supporting cast including Gopal Dutt, Paritosh Tripathi, Monica Murthy, Sanket Bhosle, Sugandha Mishra and Siddharth Sagar.

    Speaking about the concept of the show, Banijay Asia CEO and founder Deepak Dhar said, “India has a great appetite for experimental content which allows us to curate fresh formats that revitalises the existing genres.     Applause Entertainment announces plans to acquire and produce regional content

    Mumbai: Aditya Birla Group venture Applause Entertainment plans to foray deep into acquiring and upgrading the regional offerings and aim to have a robust and comprehensive slate of content. The content house will continue to focus on premium dramas for its regional productions.

    The content and IP creation studio has been a powerhouse of disruptive and entertaining storytelling since inception. It recently took the internet by storm with back-to-back announcements of upcoming shows including Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, Gandhi and Tanaav. In June, it released three new shows including Udan Patolas on Amazon miniTV, Salt City and Avrodh 2: The Siege Within on Sonyliv.

    The second franchise of Scam will feature the story of the 2003 stamp paper scam by Abdul Karim Telgi. Gagan Dev Riar will play the lead as Telgi in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. Applause Entertainment also announced a biopic on Mahatma Gandhi, based on the writings of historian and author Ramachandra Guha. Pratik Gandhi has been roped in to play the Mahatma. And lastly, the studio announced the multi-starrer Indian adaptation of the hit Israeli series Fauda soon to stream on Sonyliv.

    Moreover, after a prestigious win at the Busan International Film Festival, Applause Entertainment’s film “The Rapist”, directed by Aparna Sen will be screened at the London Indian Film Festival.

    Amazon miniTV announces new show ‘Murder in Agonda’

    Mumbai: Amazon miniTV has announced a new crime thriller “Murder in Agonda” set for the premiere on 8 April. Created by Arré Studio and directed by Vikram Rai, the five-part murder mystery stars Shriya Pilgaonkar, Aasif Khan, Kubra Sait, and Lillete Dubey in lead roles.

    The crime series will have fresh episodes releasing every Friday.

    “Amazon miniTV has been offering its viewers a continuous stream of engaging and good quality content for free, and we are elated to be releasing Arré Studio’s crime drama thriller.
