    Mumbai: The eagerly awaited creative collaboration between social entrepreneur Navya Naveli Nanda and the beloved comics publication ‘Tinkle’ has come to fruition, with the official launch of their book on 25  September 2023.

    The event took place at the Dixit Road BMC School, Mumbai with a bunch of bright and enthusiastic students as participants. The collective efforts of Navya Naveli Nanda and the Tinkle Team have given rise to a truly remarkable collection of stories, ingeniously titled ‘Wonder Naari’. While the collaboration was eagerly awaited, the story themes remained under wraps, adding anticipation to the launch.

    It was revealed that the book ‘Wonder Naari’ shines as a beacon of empowerment, featuring four captivating stories, each intricately woven around a core theme that mirrors the pillars of Navya’s visionary initiative, Project Naveli. These themes encompass Legal Awareness, Entrepreneurship, Mental Health and Education, with narratives meticulously crafted to resonate deeply with readers and inspire a sense of empowerment. Post the book launch, there was an interactive workshop where the children were engaged with an opportunity to explore the world of ‘Wonder Naari’ through fun activities and games.

    At the launch, Navya Naveli Nanda passionately shared her journey of creation, vision for women’s empowerment and thoughts on the joy of storytelling through comics. Joining her on this momentous occasion was Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd President and CEO Preeti Vyas, Tinkle editor-in-chief Gayathri Chandrasekaran, Savio Mascarenhas, group art director, Deepesh Kothari, VP of digital and D2C Businesses and other members from the Tinkle Team.

    MUMBAI: National Geographic Traveller India published by Amar Chitra Katha Pvt. Ltd., India’s favourite travel magazine announces the launch of its 2nd Anniversary issue which is built around the theme ‘Return to Roots’. National Geographic Traveller is the ultimate travel companion for the discerning Indian globetrotter.

     

    “It’s a celebratory year for us as within two years of its launch NGTI has won the best travel magazine award from www.tripadvisor.com and two Echo DMAi awards for its advertising creatives. This proves that not only have we produced great content over two years, but we have also created the best customer engaging solutions for our advertisers”, said Mr. Manas Mohan, CEO, Publishing, Amar Chitra Katha Pvt.     Commenting on the growth of the magazine, Mr. Manas Mohan said, “The magazine has grown by 35% in the last one year. It has been observed that 50 per cent of readers consider the content timeless, and so want to keep the magazine for its rich content. This increases the shelf life of our magazine and helps in a longer engagement period for our advertisers. The ad-content ratio for the magazine is 25:75”. He further added, “The sale of the magazine has grown from 95,000 copies last year to 110,000 copies this year. Of this, 25 per cent comprises subscription sale, while the rest is newsstand sale. The magazine is doing very well and we are looking at better numbers this year”, he further added.

     

    “Our 2nd anniversary issue unfolds stories on travelling to rediscover our roots and heritage. The stories in this issue explore how travel can compel people to examine themselves in the light of where they came from, the place they live in, who they are, and the relationships they may have had”, said Ms. Niloufer Venkatraman, Editor, National Geographic Traveller India magazine.     National Geographic Traveller India Magazine wins India Travelers’ Choice Awards 2014 by Tripadvisor

    MUMBAI: National Geographic Traveller India, the world’s most widely read travel magazine published in India under license from National Geographic Society, by Amar Chitra Katha Pvt Ltd, has been awarded the Travel magazine of 2014 by www.tripadvisor.com, the world’s largest travel community.

    National Geographic Traveler India Magazine won the India’s Travelers’ Choice Awards through a Survey which was conducted across the world, where each country used a panel of more than 5,500 TripAdvisor travelers to shortlist the brands/products in each category. A total of 95,056 travelers then selected their favorites from the shortlists and the winner was chosen.

    Ms. Niloufer Venkatraman, Editor -in-chief, National Geographic Traveller India said “I am absolutely, totally, delighted than in just two years we’ve managed to establish ourselves as the best travel magazine in India. This public acknowledgement from travellers, and endorsement from well respected brand TripAdvisor, is a huge feather in our cap”. She further added, “It’s great to know that the two years of sweat have been worth it. And our team continues to be excited about the next travel story. We love what we do, and feel gratified that we’re producing a magazine with a readers’ stamp of approval”.
