  • BBDO India hires Sidheshwar Sharma to head Blackberry biz

    MUMBAI: BBDO India has appointed Sidheshwar Sharma as the regional business director on the Blackberry regional and local business.

    Sharma will be based in Mumbai and will report to BBDO India CEO Ajai Jhala.

    Sharma moves in from Grey Worldwide where he was working as client services director and managing the Reliance 3G business.

    Jhala said, “We are excited to have Sid on board. He fully subscribes to our mantra of ‘Create Acts Not Ads‘. We agreed on terms during his ‘action‘ vacation in Zanskar, a perfect prelude to his taking over the reigns of the Blackberry regional and India businesses”.

    Sharma comes in with close to 10 years of experience in the business of brands and ideas. Prior to joining Grey, he had also worked with Ogilvy & Mather and McCann Erickson. He has worked on clients like Cadbury Dairy Milk, Cadbury Dairy Milk Silk, Dove Shampoo, Kissan and Kodak.

    BBDO bags Racold’s creative biz

    MUMBAI: BBDO India has won the creative mandate of Racold Thermo’s flagship water heater brand, Racold, following a multi-agency pitch involving iterations over two months.


    The account will be handled out of Mumbai office of the agency. The agency will be looking after the creative of both ATL and BTL campaigns of the brand.


    Racold Thermo MD Mathew Job said, “Over the last few weeks, we have gone through a rigorous process to select an advertising agency to partner with us. We are excited to travel the next phase of our brand journey in partnership with BBDO.”


    BBDO India CEO Ajai Jhala added, “Racold has been an integral part of more Indian bathrooms than any other brand and now wants to play a more active role in people’s lives. We, at BBDO, are very excited that we have been chosen to take Racold the next horizon”.


    Racold Thermo is a fully owned subsidiary of Ariston Thermo Spa. With a complete range of electrical, gas and solar water heaters, Racold Thermo is now providing complete water heating solution to all the sectors i.e. domestic, commercial and industrial.

    MUMBAI: Proximity India has won the digital mandate of PepsiCo India‘s soft drink brand, 7UP. The agency will also handle 7UP‘s social media activities.
