    MUMBAI: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), has been appointed as the Official AI and technology partner for the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris. This three-year partnership aims to transform one of the world’s most prestigious marathons by integrating cutting-edge AI, data analytics, and digital twin technology to elevate the experience for both athletes and spectators.

    With over 55,000 runners from 145 nationalities, the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris is a landmark event, now set to benefit from TCS’ innovation. Leveraging its Paceport innovation hub in Paris, TCS will introduce AI-powered race experiences, personalised digital coaching, and immersive engagement tools to make the marathon more interactive and efficient.

    TCS’ growing footprint in endurance sports is undeniable, with sponsorships spanning 14 global marathons, including the World Marathon Majors in New York, London, Chicago, Boston, and Sydney. In 2024 alone, TCS-backed races raised nearly $280 million for charities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to making a lasting societal impact beyond the finish line.

    Havas Media bags Air France global account

    MUMBAI: Havas Media retained the global Air France account following a pitch that included VivaKi (Publicis Groupe).

    MPG, the largest media network under Havas Media, will support the win and manage the Air France account out of the French hub.

    As the global agency of record, MPG and Havas Digital will continue to handle both online and offline media responsibilities for the airline in all 54 Air France markets.

    Havas also managed to regain the digital markets throughout Asia that were till now under VivaKi including India, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and Philippines.

    Havas Media France COO Pascal Dasseux said, “On behalf of the whole team, I would like to thank Air France for renewing their confidence in Havas for the fourth time, thereby continuing the relationship that has been in place since 1992.”

    Apple signs deals with airlines for iPod integration

    MUMBAI: Software firm Apple has announced it is teaming up with Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United to deliver the first seamless integration between its music player on the go the iPod and in-flight entertainment systems.

    These six airlines will begin offering their passengers iPod seat connections which power and charge their iPods during flight and allow the video content on their iPods to be viewed on the their seat back displays.

    Apple VP worldwide iPod product marketing Greg Joswiak says, “There is no better traveling companion than an iPod, and now travelers can power their iPods during flight and even watch their iPod movies and TV shows on their seat back displays. We are excited to work with Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United to offer iPod users an even better in-flight experience.”

    In-flight iPod connectivity will be available to Air France, Continental, Delta, Emirates, KLM and United passengers beginning in mid 2007. Additionally, Apple is working with Panasonic Avionics Corporation to bring even more leading airlines in-flight iPod connectivity in the future.

    The iPod ecosystem continues to flourish with more than 3,000 accessories made specifically for iPod that range from fashionable cases to speaker systems, and more than 70 percent of 2007-model US automobiles currently offer iPod connectivity.
