    MUMBAI: There’s a new script being written at Primebook—and this time, it comes with financial savvy and a flair for storytelling. The Android-based computing company has made a two-pronged leadership move, bringing on board fintech heavyweight Bhavesh Gupta as an advisory board member, and appointing creative leader Tathagata Ray as head of content.

    The announcement signals Primebook India’s push to merge business strategy with brand building. The former Paytm president & COO, Gupta, brings over 25 years of experience across banking, digital lending and fintech. His new role at Primebook is set to strengthen the firm’s go-to-market strategy and expand digital access for India’s youth.

    “What compelled me to join Primebook’s advisory board is its futuristic approach to building deeptech solutions…” said Gupta. CEO & co-founder Chitranshu Mahant welcomed the appointment as a validation of Primebook’s long-term vision and scaling ambitions.

    Simultaneously, Ray steps into the role of head of content. With over 15 years in advertising and branding, Ray’s past includes stints at Air India Limited, Meta, The Glitch, and Grapes Digital. At Primebook, he is tasked with leading creative strategy and shaping a new-age brand identity.

    MUMBAI: Asha Kulkarni, vice-president of  partnerships &  ecosystem**  Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (Zeel), has announced her involvement with the Rise advisory board, a nonprofit organization that champions gender diversity within the broadcasting and media technology sectors. 

    Under the leadership of Shivani Kochhar in India, Rise focuses on impactful initiatives designed to empower women through programs like an annual mentoring initiative, the Rise Awards that honor outstanding women, and the Rise Up Academy that aims to inspire the next generation.     Mumbai: Global fan engagement platform Stepathlon has appointed Alison Lee and Rowena Samarasinhe to its advisory board.

    ATP Tour executive vice president of interaction region Alison Lee and GenSport managing director Rowena Samarasinhe, who is also a partner at sports, media, and entertainment law firm LEVEL, will join Stepathlon’s advisory board, which will comprise diverse and prominent thought leaders from sports, media, entertainment, technology and wellness.

    Mumbai: Consumer data intelligence company Axis My India on Tuesday announced the constitution of a pioneering advisory board with IPG Mediabrands CEO Shashi Sinha and Madison Media Group CEO Vikram Sakhuja joining the board. Sakhuja is nominated as chairman of the board.

    MUMBAI: The National Association of Television Program Executives (Natpe) in the US is establishing a digital advisory board to be led by Ross Levinsohn who is Guggenheim Digital Media CEO.

    The advisory board will serve as a consultant to help expand the organisation‘s presence and direction in the digital world.

    Natpe Content First president, CEO Rod Perth said, “We are incredibly fortunate to have Ross agree to lead this effort as we develop plans to bring together the linear and digital content businesses, which are increasingly interdependent.”

    This new digital brain-trust will be made up of executives from all segments of digital content including creation and production, distribution, social media, advertising and technology. Its members will be announced over the next few weeks.

    “Natpe is dedicated to acting as a bridge between content creation and monetisation across all platforms.     Madurai Kamaraj University to rope in Kamal Hassan as guide for its film institute

    MUMBAI: The Madurai Kamaraj University is in talks with Kamal Hassan to rope him as a key guide for its ambitious film institute situated in its campus. A state-of-the-art film institute is being set up on the campus on the lines of the ones in Pune (FTII) and Chennai (South India Film Institute).

    Soon after the Vice-Chancellor Kalyani Mathivanan made an announcement about the project after assuming office in April, preliminary discussions have been going on with popular film personalities in order to get them on the Advisory Board of the institute. In the process, the University authorities also approached Hassan and explained him the project details. His participation was sought thereafter.

    A detailed project report is now being prepared by a reputed auditor of Chennai which will be taken to the Chief Minister‘s attention seeking funding support. Apart from Hassan, a few more personalities of the film industry will also be roped in to have their participation on the Advisory Board.

    The film institute will have a five-year integrated course in which a range of specialities in film making such as editing, sound, cinematography, music among others will be offered. The syllabus for this course would be prepared by the University taking expert inputs from film personalities.

    The University is trying hard to get some funding assistance from the University Grants Commission under its innovative scheme, according to Professor Mathivanan.
