He also led media buying for ITC at a national level at Madison. Rohin’s expertise lies in crafting and executing integrated media buying strategies that have driven exceptional success for top-tier clients, including Unilever. His career highlights include managing cross-channel media strategies across various sectors such as FMCG, Telecom, E-commerce, BFSI, Automobile, and Retail.     Aditya Birla Group launches #JoJodeWohiSamajhdaar campaign

    Mumbai: Global conglomerate, Aditya Birla Group proudly launched their latest World Environment Day film, “JoJodeWohiSamajhdaar”, that makes great use of nostalgic animation to deliver the message of reuse, reduce, recycle, and restore. The film also marks the completion of the three-part, sustainability-focused campaign unveiled last year by the 165-year-old Indian conglomerate.

    Conceptualised and executed by Brandmovers Interactive India, the latest film draws parallels between the environment and beloved household possessions. The film tells the story of how we repair, repurpose, and revive things that we never want to let go of, but at the same time turn a blind eye towards matters concerning the environment. The nostalgia associated with these beloved possessions is brought to life by an equally nostalgic animation by Susruta & Saswata Mukherjee and a voiceover by actor Vijay Raaz.

    The film weaves the narrative into a poem that says how the formula of reuse, reduce, recycle, and restore is what will lead us to a greener tomorrow. And the one who embraces that is “samajhdaar”.

    Describing the film, Brandmovers Interactive India CCO Suvajyoti Ghosh said, “To deliver such a serious environmental message in a wholesome and endearing way is a tough task. But the animation and the poem recited by Vijay Raaz really made it look easy and, needless to say, stole the show in a big way.”

    Mumbai: Linen Club, the pioneering linen brand from the Aditya Birla Group, unveiled its unique campaign – an ode to the annual celebration of Sankranti in Andhra Pradesh. Accurately capturing the essence of the festival, the film and the brand’s new song, emphasise the significance of ‘Letting go off the old,’ an important custom during the harvest season in the state.

    As the most widely celebrated occasion in Andhra Pradesh, the campaign beautifully highlights the spirit of Bhogi, an age-old tradition symbolizing new beginnings during Sankranti. Following the harvest, the farmers would have their payday and indulge in an annual shopping spree. Preceding this was the Bhogi ritual, where old belongings are ceremoniously discarded into the fire to make room for new purchases.

    This is the first-ever campaign of this magnitude by any textile fashion brand in the country. It will be a 360-degree campaign which will be activated across digital platforms, offline media, brand stores and radio as the brand will invite everyone to share what they resolve to ‘let go off’ to start anew.

    Linen Club took this ritual of Bhogi as more than just a custom, but a valuable life lesson. It teaches one to evolve and embrace the new in life by letting go off the old. Linen Club seamlessly integrates this thought into a thoughtful and heart-warming campaign, “It’s only when you let go of the old that you can wear the new.”  The campaign showcases a progressive statement while staying rooted in family values, reflecting the brand’s commitment to staying in sync with the sensibilities of its customers.

    The campaign is accompanied by a melodious festive song ‘Linen Club Sankranti Sambaralu’ which beautifully captures the essence of the festival, making it relatable for audiences of all ages. This is a unique endeavour by a fashion brand to present a local folk melody and join their customers as they celebrate their most important annual festival. The song has been performed by popular award-winning singers Geetha Madhuri and Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumar Sharma.

    The campaign further brings alive the authentic aesthetics of the festival and the expertise and expanse of Linen Club with a showcase of the wide palate of fabrics and apparel that the brand offers. With Nirupam Paritala and Surya helming this beautiful video story, the TVC strikes a chord instantly with the viewer. It signifies celebration, prosperity, and new beginnings.

    The film showcases a typical Sankranti morning with a family preparing to perform the Bhogi ritual. The grandfather is teaching the grandson to discard an old item into the Bhogi fire when the curious grandson enquires about its significance. It is then the grandfather explains to him the importance of letting go of the old to make space for the good. The child playfully questions if his grandfather throws his anger into the bonfire, could that bring back his aunt home? Touched by his grandson’s wisdom, the grandfather decides to leave the grudge and accepts his daughter and her husband.

    This Sankranti campaign beautifully captures Linen Club’s passion, authenticity, and expertise in creating the finest linen fabrics and apparel and making way for new with evolving customer demands.     Mumbai: Aditya Birla Group’s venture Applause Entertainment on Tuesday announced its expansion in the southern market and set up a dedicated office in Chennai. Buoyed by the opportunities that regional OTT space presents, Applause will further develop its South content acquisition and creation strategy.  

    Sign of Life Productions director and producer Pramod Cheruvalath has joined as the south – content head to spearhead this ambitious plan along with Applause Entertainment producer Vighnesh Menon.

    Pramod had earlier produced Iru Dhuruvam (Tamil) along with Applause Entertainment for SonyLIV and will now be responsible to build Applause’s content slate in all four Southern markets to create a diversified slate of premium series and movies across languages. Previously, the content studio has also produced series like Humble Politician Nograj (Kannada), Vadham, and Kuruthi Kalam (Tamil), apart from producing the second season of Iru Dhuruvam.

    Applause Entertainment announces plans to acquire and produce regional content

    Mumbai: Aditya Birla Group venture Applause Entertainment plans to foray deep into acquiring and upgrading the regional offerings and aim to have a robust and comprehensive slate of content. The content house will continue to focus on premium dramas for its regional productions.

    The content and IP creation studio has been a powerhouse of disruptive and entertaining storytelling since inception. It recently took the internet by storm with back-to-back announcements of upcoming shows including Scam 2003: The Telgi Story, Gandhi and Tanaav. In June, it released three new shows including Udan Patolas on Amazon miniTV, Salt City and Avrodh 2: The Siege Within on Sonyliv.

    The second franchise of Scam will feature the story of the 2003 stamp paper scam by Abdul Karim Telgi. Gagan Dev Riar will play the lead as Telgi in Scam 2003: The Telgi Story. Applause Entertainment also announced a biopic on Mahatma Gandhi, based on the writings of historian and author Ramachandra Guha. Pratik Gandhi has been roped in to play the Mahatma. And lastly, the studio announced the multi-starrer Indian adaptation of the hit Israeli series Fauda soon to stream on Sonyliv.

    Moreover, after a prestigious win at the Busan International Film Festival, Applause Entertainment’s film “The Rapist”, directed by Aparna Sen will be screened at the London Indian Film Festival.
