    Mumbai: Adani Sportsline has announced that the highly anticipated eighth edition of the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is going to be powered by Ambuja Cements and ACC, the cement and building material companies of the Adani portfolio. This partnership highlights a fusion of strength, reliability, legacy, and trust aligning seamlessly with the values and spirit of the marathon.

    The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, to take place on 24 November 2024, aims to inspire thousands of participants to push their limits and achieve personal milestones. With Ambuja Cements and ACC joining as principal sponsors, the event will ensure an unparalleled experience, reinforcing the marathon’s stature as one of India’s premier athletic runs.

    This year’s marathon will begin and end at the picturesque Sabarmati Riverfront and the Bib Expo for the participants will be held at the Sabarmati Riverfront Sports Park, which boasts of state-of-the-art sporting facilities. Participants can choose from four categories: the full marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.097 km), the 10 km run, and the 5 km run.

    The Adani Ahmedabad Marathon is certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. In 2023, the marathon introduced a new course, and this will be the second time it takes place on this scenic route. The track, which spans the city, includes iconic locations such as the Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram, and Ellis Bridge. The seventh edition of the Adani Ahmedabad Marathon saw over 22,000 participants. The marathon kicked off the journey in 2017 in Shantigram, and is currently going strong in its eighth edition.

    Mumbai: Gulf Giants, the defending champions of DP World International League T20 (ILT20), have today announced their star-studded squad for the upcoming second season. With a perfect blend of experience and youth, the Gulf Giants are geared up to dominate the league and defend their DP World ILT20 championship. The Adani Sportsline owned-franchise has announced Andy Flower as the team’s Head Coach for the upcoming season, which will be led by England batter James Vince.

    After meticulous planning and scouting, Gulf Giants has announced the signing of new players such as Afghanistan spinner Mujeeb-ur-Rahman along with the likes of T20 sensation Dominic Drakes. The newly-signed players will be complemented by a power-packed squad combination featuring T20 maestros Shimron Hetmyer (West Indies), Chris Jordan (England), Chris Lynn (Australia), and Carlos Brathwaite (West Indies), to name a few.

    Flower, arguably Zimbabwe’s greatest cricketer, has forged a successful coaching career since his retirement in 2003, capped by the title run at the 2010 men’s T20 World Cup with England. He has since worked with the Afghanistan men’s national team as well as franchise teams at the IPL, the PSL, the CPL, and in the Abu Dhabi T10 tournament.

    Starting 19th January, 2024, the DP World ILT20 defending champions – Gulf Giants will be facing Sharjah Warriors. Cricket fans can watch this only-global T20 league on Zee’s most widely distributed and viewed 10 linear TV channels: &Pictures, &Pictures HD, Zee Cinema HD, Zee Anmol Cinema, Zee Zest, Zee Ganga, Zee Cinemalu HD, &Flix, &Flix HD and Zee Zest HD and on one of India’s leading OTT platforms – ZEE5. All single header matches will be broadcast Live at 8 PM India prime time, starting with the pre-match presentation at 7:30 PM. The afternoon match on the double-header’s day will start at 4:00 PM.

    Mumbai: Gujarat Giants owned by Adani Sportsline, is one of the Pro Kabaddi League teams. The team which is based out of Ahmedabad has welcomed on board their official partners for the landmark 10 season of the Pro Kabaddi League.

    The official partner’s logos will be on the Gujarat Giants’ jersey for the season with ACC Limited prominently featuring as the front logo partner. That apart, Fortune Foods takes up their spot on the back of the jersey and the shoulders.

    The jersey’s right sleeve proudly showcases the Poojara Telecom logo followed by the Adani Group logo, while the left sleeve highlights the Dafa News logo.

    League11, a fantasy sports platform, secures the rights to display its logo on the team’s shorts. Additionally, the Shiv Naresh, who are among the most sought-after sports apparel organisations in the country, will have their logo on the nape of the jersey.

    The 10 Pro Kabaddi League had begun in Ahmedabad, with the Gujarat Giants emerging as the best team in the first leg of the tournament.     Mumbai: Formed in 2019, Adani Sportsline has been the sports arm of the Adani group. The core objective has been to align to building a sporting nation with holistic support to the sustainable development of a sporting nation. The Adani Sportline’s initiatives have grown ever since at a steady pace and are now poised to make a significant impact with the right guidance and strategy.  

    To take charge of the same, Sanjay Adesara has been announced as the new chief business officer (CBO), of Adani Sportline. A veteran in the brand-building space with over a decade and a half of experience with Adani Wilmar, Sanjay will now add his expertise to the growth story of Adani groups sports business.  

    Prior to this, Sanjay has been one of the driving forces as the founding Chief Executive for Adani’s various sports activities, leading leagues including the Pro Kabaddi League among others. He has also been one of the pillars for Adani Wilmar Limited, which he joined in 2008, and since has demonstrated an ability to ensure significant progress.  

    Sanjay’s strategic approach for Adani Sportline will include the development of an effective approach for brand strategy, brand activation, and cross-functional team management. He has a proven track record in launching new products, revamping brands, and developing brand architectures that align with long-term business objectives.

    Sony Sports Network & SonyLIV to air Ultimate Kho Kho inaugural season from 14 August

    Mumbai: The opening season of Ultimate Kho Kho will roll out on Sunday, 14 August 2022 in Pune, where six teams will engage in action that will culminate with the title clash on 4 September 2022. India’s first-ever franchise-based professional Kho-Kho league will host its matches at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune.

    Promoted by Dabur India chairman Amit Burman in collaboration with the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), the league aims to revolutionise this indigenous sport with a modern twist both on-air & on-ground.  

    34 matches will be played with two matches per day in Season 1, during the league stage. The knockout matches will be played in a playoff format which will consist of a qualifier and eliminator matches. The live broadcast will begin at 7 pm (IST) and continue until 10 pm (IST) on each match day. The revamped format of Ultimate Kho Kho aims to be exciting and engaging for not only the Kho Kho players but also sports enthusiasts and viewers.

    Sony Sports Network will air the event in Hindi (SonyTEN 3), English (SonyTEN 1), Tamil, and Telugu (SonyTEN 4) and be available on SonyLIV.

    The inaugural season will witness six teams in the shape and form of Chennai Quick Guns (KLO Sports), Gujarat Giants (Adani Sportsline), Mumbai Khiladis (Badshah & Punit Balan), Odisha Juggernauts (Government of Odisha), Rajasthan Warriors (Capri Global) and Telugu Yoddhas (GMR Sports) competing for the inaugural season over 21 days.

    Mumbai: The sports arm of the Adani Group, Adani Sportsline has become an official partner with the Indian Olympics Association (IOA) for the upcoming Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022, Hangzhou Asian Games 2022, and Paris Olympic Games 2024. This is the second time that the Adani Group has come on board with IOA. The earliest association was in 2021, when the group sponsored the Indian Contingent during the Tokyo Olympics.   

    The partnership is an extension of the Adani Group’s sports portfolio that focuses on building a world-class ecosystem to nurture sporting talent, accelerate the sports economy, and play the role of an enabler in India’s journey to becoming a leading sporting nation.  

    Speaking on the partnership, IOA secretary general Rajeev Mehta said, “We are delighted to welcome Adani Sportsline’s participation in our journey of representing Indian athletes across the global platforms. Corporate participation will help emerging sports stars, allowing India to genuinely become a sporting nation.”

    Adani Sportsline has supported over 28 athletes through its athlete support initiative, #GarvHai, across a variety of sports. Six of these athletes represented India at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and among them was wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya, who brought home a silver medal in the 57 kg division. Dahiya has been a part of the #GarvHai Initiative from 2019. 

    Adani Sportsline also owns teams with prominent Indian and global platforms, including Pro Kabaddi League, Ultimate Kho Kho League, Big Bout Boxing League, and International League T20 (Cricket). It also organises the annual Adani Ahmedabad Marathon, which has now moved up to be among the top four marathons in India.

    Mumbai: Emirates Cricket Board has confirmed that the inaugural ILT20 League will be held between 6 January to 12 February 2023. The new league will be called ‘International League T20 (ILT20)’.

    Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence and Emirates Cricket Board chairman Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan said, “Emirates Cricket Board is delighted to welcome Reliance Industries, Kolkata Knight Riders, Capri Global, GMR, Lancer Capital, Adani Sportsline, broadcaster ZEE and all other stakeholders to the newly established T20 League of UAE. Such illustrious, experienced names and entities as partners bode well for the UAE T20 League. Through the commitment of these partners, they have demonstrated confidence in the Emirates Cricket Board as we take the game into the future.”

    “As we begin this long journey, I am confident that together we will achieve new heights and in the process provide entertainment and excitement to the millions of fans around the globe who are waiting for the first ball of the UAE T20 League to be bowled. On behalf of the ECB let me assure everyone that whilst being entertained on the field with cricket, you will also be entertained by our traditional UAE hospitality off the field,” he added.

    The six-team franchise-style league will be played over a 34-match schedule at world-renowned, world-class venues in UAE.  

    The tournament will also provide a valuable platform for Emirates Cricket to take developing their local talent to a higher level, where UAE-based players currently integrated into the board’s program, as well as those identified by the high-performance coaching and selection committee teams, will be allowed to train and play alongside some of the world’s best minds of today’s game.

    ILT20 chairman Khalid Al Zarooni said, “Emirates Cricket, and the UAE, has a proven history of identifying and embracing initiatives that underpin the success of the game. It is vitally important that through this tournament UAE-based players continue to flourish which is one of the objectives of this league.”

    Mumbai: UAE’s T20 league today announced the signing of a long-term global media rights contract with global media and entertainment powerhouse Zee. The league will air exclusively on Zee’s linear channels and its OTT platform Zee5, in India and across the world.

    UAE’s T20 league is a professional cricket tournament comprising six teams competing in a 34-match competition, including – Reliance Industries, Adani Sportsline, Kolkata Knight Riders, Lancer Capital, GMR Group and Capri Global.

    Zee’s strong global presence across 190+ countries will help build the reach and resonance for the league with viewers and partners. With immense synergies between its businesses and a holistic approach for advertisers and distribution partners, Zee will engage fans through a multi-platform strategy taking the league to more than 100 million households.

    UAE T20 league matches will air across Zee’s 10 linear channels in the HSM (Hindi Speaking Markets), South and East regions in English, Hindi, and Tamil languages. The league will also be simultaneously streamed live on Zee5, and radio globally.

    Mumbai: Adani Sportsline, a part of the diversified Adani Group, has made a landmark foray into franchise cricket by acquiring the rights to own and operate a franchise in UAE’s flagship T20 league.

    Licensed by Emirates Cricket Board, the UAE T20 League is an annual event that will feature six franchise teams competing in a 34-match event. Top players from all the cricket playing countries are expected to be in the line-up of different teams. The league will be providing a platform and exposure to upcoming young cricketers. This will be the first major move overseas by the Adani Sportsline that will connect and engage with global fans from across the cricketing nations.
