    Mumbai: BIG FM successfully concludes the third season of ‘Main Bhi Finance Minister’, a campaign focused on inspiring women to be their own Finance Minister. Hosted by renowned RJ – RJ Rani, famous for her afternoon show ‘Aap Jaisi Rani’, the month-long program was sponsored by the leading stock market learning institute – Avadhut Sathe Trading Academy. The campaign served as a dynamic platform dedicated to bridging financial disparities and promoting gender equality. Adding an entertaining twist, BIG FM roped in the famous rapper AGSY for an enthralling anthem for this initiative.

    Throughout the campaign, a wide range of engaging activities and thought-provoking discussions took place, fostering a dynamic and interactive environment. The campaign featured a stellar lineup of celebrities such as Alia Bhatt, Yami Gautam, Adah Sharma, Saiyami Kher, Sharvari Wagh, Mahi Gil, Palak Mucchal, Mannara Chopra and Krishna Shroff. Finance specialists like Pooja Bhinde, a Certified Financial Planner and Dr. Priyanka Singh from the Ministry of Finance, also offered invaluable investment advice and tips. Furthermore, the campaign featured a series of impactful sessions that offered a mix of different perspectives and advice on how to manage their finances. Sessions like ‘Men Supporting Women’ provided valuable insights from finance experts.

    A ‘BIG Female Jock Round Table Conference’ was also conducted which brought together leading voices like RJ Rani, RJ Nisha, RJ Rashi & RJ Pamela, sharing their views on life and finance for women. Participants had the opportunity to share their personal stories and be a part of spontaneous discussions. The campaign reached its culmination with the compelling stories of five real women making significant strides in the investment space. These narratives were expertly presented by Avadhut Sathe as part of the ‘5 Stories of Laxmi’ series. As a part of the initiative, the radio network also released a special anthem for ‘Main Bhi Finance Minister’ with Rapper Agsy & RJ Rani in both video and audio format.

    Bangalore : The winners of this year’s Santoor Femina Style Diva South were declared at a glittering ceremony attended by who’s who of the Hindi and Kannada film industry. The evening witnessed 14 gorgeous girls take over the stage at the 5th edition of Santoor Femina Style Diva South 2017 powered by Abaran Jewellery, in association with BNatural, INXS and Aloe Veda, held at Mövenpick Hotel & Spa in Bengaluru.

    The diverse sets of rounds where the girls displayed their style, wit and élan were judged by a grand jury that included experts from the world of fashion and glamour , comprising of Femina’s editor and chief community officer Tanya Chaitanya, actor Adah Sharma, Kannada actor Rashmika Mandanna, Yamaha Fascino Miss Diva-Miss Universe India Roshmitha Harimurthy, fashion designer Ron Dutta, Rahul Srivastava, marketing manager, Santoor, and Dr Sangeetha Patel, dermatologist and founder of INXS Anti-Ageing and Anti-Obesity clinic, who after much deliberation chose Manipal girl Ashna Gurav as this year’s Femina Style Diva South. The first and second runners up at the style-based pageant were Bhavana Sreepad and Anookiya Harish.

    The evening began with 14 contestants walking the runway in little black dresses and accessories from their personal wardrobes as presenter Paloma Rao introduced each contestant to the judges. The second round had the contestants channeling their inner supermodels as they flaunted stunning diamond jewellery by Abaran Jewellery and gowns by Ziva by Bhuvana Mohan Gowda. For the third round, the contestants shimmied down the runway in glamorous gowns crafted by designer Riya Kodali. As the judges had the tough job of determining the finalists on their hands, the audience enjoyed a stand-up act by Bengaluru-based comedian Sanjay Manaktala and dance troupe, Oxygen Dance Company.

    On day one the Tamil Film Awards, Baahubali won the best picture, supporting role male, supporting role female, playback singer male and playback singer femaleJayam Ravi won the award for leading role male for his performance in Thani Oruvan while Nayanthara walked away with the award for leading role female for May.

     

    For the Malayalam film awards, Ennu Ninte Moideen took home the highest number of accolades with a total tally of five awards including Best Picture, Leading Role (Male), Leading Role (Female), Supporting Role (Female) and Playback Singer (Female)Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathi Menon won Best Actor and Best Actress for their film Ennu Ninte Moideen.

     

    Kavya Madhavan opened the evening at the awards ceremony followed by superstar divas Shriya Saran, Adah Sharma, Tapsee Pannu, Mamta Mohandas and Nikki Galrani, who held the audience spell-bound with their stunning performances.     The first day saw the Tamil and Malayalam film industries being felicitated. In the Tamil Film Awards, Baahubali-The Beginning took home the highest number of accolades with a total tally of six awards including Best Picture, Direction, Supporting Role (Male), Supporting Role (Female), Playback Singer (Male) and Playback Singer (Female).

     

    For the Malyalam Film Awards, Ennu Ninte Moideen also took home the highest number of awards with a total tally of six awards including Best Picture, Leading Role (Male), Leading Role (Female), Supporting Role (Female) and Playback Singer (Female).

     

    Jayam Ravi won the award for Leading Role (Male) for his performance in Thani Oruvan (Tamil), while Nayanthara walked away with the award for Leading Role (Female) for May (Tamil). Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathi Menon won Best Actor and Best Actress for their film Ennu Ninte Moideen.

     

    The evening also saw performances by Kavya Madhavan, Shriya Saran, Adah Sharma, Tapsee Pannu, Mamta Mohandas, Nikki Galrani and Bharath.
