He plays a Midwestern farmer who stays by the side of his beloved teenage daughter (Breslin) even as she slowly turns into a cannibalistic zombie.This heart-wrenching twist on the zombie apocalypse puts a human face on an inexplicable horror.

Breslin will soon be making her publishing debut with her book called This May Sound Crazy, which will be published by HarperCollins.

    NEW DELHI: A total of 402 films, including 321 Market Premieres and 75 World Premieres, from 51 countries are being screened as part of the ongoing 2013 American Film Market.

     

    “Films in 30 languages will be screened for more than 8,000 buyers and industry professionals from more than 70 countries,” said AFM MD and executive VP Jonathan Wolf of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.

     

    The market commenced yesterday and will conclude on 13 November.

    Clint Eastwood’s daughter to star in Final Girl

    MUMBAI: Clint Eastwood‘s daughter Francesca has got her first major role in Final Girl that is to be directed by her boyfriend Tyler Shields.
    The 18-year-old is now set to embark on a tough training regimen to prepare for the shoot that is set to begin in Vancouver, Canada later this year.
    “I am beyond excited to be working with Abigail Breslin and it is such a dream to make a movie with Tyler Shields. His vision for this film is going to blow people away. I start my fight training next week and we start shooting in November. I can‘t wait for everyone to see Final Girl!,” she has reportedly said.
    Sheilds has already signed actress Abigail Breslin for the thriller that is about a group of teenage boys who pick on the wrong girl as their last victim to initiate into their pack, it is understood.
    Francesca previously appeared on the big screen alongside her father in the 1999 made film True Crime.

    MUMBAI: Warner Bros is all set to release director Garry Marshall‘s New Year‘s Eve on 9 December.

    The film, shot entirely on location in and around New York City, celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in the intertwining stories of couples and singles on the most dazzling night of the year.

    New Year‘s Eve stars Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Academy Award nominee Abigail Breslin, Chris Ludacris Bridges, two-time Academy Award winner Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron and Hector Elizondo among others.

    The film, produced by Mike Karz and Wayne Rice, has cinematography by Charles Minsky, editing by Michael Tronick and costume design by Oscar-nominated costume designer Gary Jones.

    MUMBAI: Johnny Depp‘s film Rango is all set to receive the 2011 Hollywood Animation Award.
     
    The film, directed by Gore Verbinski, will be honoured at the at the 15th annual Hollywood Film Festival‘s gala ceremony on 24 October in Beverly Hills.
     
    “It is a great pleasure to recognize Rango as the recipient of our animation award. This piece of cinematic treasure borders on surrealism and Rango will be a classic for generations to come,” said, the Hollywood Film Festival founder and executive director Carlos de Abreu has been quoted to have said.


    The 48-year od Depp voiced for the titular lizard character in the film that also has the voices of Isla Fisher, Abigail Breslin, Alfred Molina, Bill Nighy, Harry Dean Stanton, Ray Winstone and Timothy Olyphant.
