    Mumbai: Times Square, New York is a location almost everyone heads to when visiting the Big Apple. 28 October, this year, visitors were treated to another edition of the grand Diwali festival with the square between 46 and 48 the street being transformed into a colourful tapestry of Indian culture  NYC Mayor Adams, majority leader Chuck Schumer, director for United States domestic policy, Neera Tanden, and assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar lit a diya (lamp) at the famed ball drop tower with family and friends in attendance, symbolising the illumination of the soul and the dispelling of ignorance

    Viacom18’s Aapka Colors channel in the US partnered with Event Guru and sponsor Gopi Dairy came on board to people from various backgrounds in the spirit of love, friendship, and togetherness.

    The celebration culminated in an electrifying concert which started at 8 pm, featuring renowned artists from Bollywood, headlining the event was Mika Singh, the iconic Bollywood singer, and former American Idol contestant, Shuba. Along with, soul-stirring British Indian classical singer, Shivali. Their performances captivated the audience, making 2023’s  Diwali Festival at Times Square an unforgettable experience!

    The event was livestreamed on 28 October and is to now to be telecast on Aapka Colors on 26 November at 1 pm Eastern time and 10 am Pacific Times.

    MUMBAI: Aapka Colors, the flagship general entertainment channel of Viacom18 Media has partnered with Live Concert World, an International institution founded in North America with over 10 years’ experience in managing entertainment talent and world tours, for the upcoming Salim Sulaiman Live 2015 North America Tour. As part of this association, Aapka Colors will be the official media partner of the concerts being held at multiple locations across North America.

     

    Organised by Live Concert World, the Live 2015 North America Tour will feature Bollywood’s leading music composer duo Salim-Sulaiman as they jointly embark on their second North America tour in September 2015. Catering to the Indian diaspora across North America, AAPKA COLORS will partner with the concerts as they will take place across major cities in USA and Canada including Dallas, Memphis, Calgary, Chicago, Vancouver and Toronto.

    Viacom 18 launches HD feed of Aapka Colors in US

    MUMBAI: Viacom 18 has launched the high definition (HD) feed of its channel Aapka Colors in the US.

     

    The channel will be available to viewers from 3 June, 2015 on US pay-TV provider Dish and on Sling International.

     

    Currently, the channel’s SD feed is available to subscribers of multiple MVPDs including Dish, Sling TV, AT&T, RCN and Verizon Fios among others. The introduction of the HD feed offers Dish and Sling subscribers all current content of Aapka Colors with an even more immersive viewing experience – clearer picture and superior sound.

     

    IndiaCast group COO Gaurav Gandhi said, “With the launch the HD service of Aapka Colors on Dish and Sling, we further enhance our offering on those platforms.     Rentrak sings TV ratings agreement with Viacom 18 Media’s IndiaCast

    MUMBAI: Rentrak, one of the leaders in measuring movies and TV everywhere, has announced an agreement with Viacom 18 Media’s IndiaCast for its two networks, Aapka Colors (known as Colors outside of the US) and MTV India.

     

    As part of the agreement, IndiaCast will utilise Rentrak’s TV ratings currency for programming research, as well as a business tool for its advertising sales initiatives.

     

    “Aapka Colors and MTV India are extremely popular services, not only in the US, but around the world,” said IndiaCast head of Americas business Sameer Goswami. “With expanded distribution and focused marketing, we are now getting into the next phase of our business in the US for these brands, which is where measurement systems such as Rentrak play a big role.”

     

    “Rentrak is happy to continue to serve the south Asian category and prove the value of these networks thorough our unique advanced demographic targets,” added Rentrak president of national television sales Chris Wilson.

     

    Rentrak’s television ratings service is the only fully-integrated system of detailed satellite, telco and nationwide cable TV viewing information from more than 29 million TVs and Video on Demand from more than 114 million TVs, including granular information for TV stations in all 210 markets projected to the US population.

    MUMBAI: To further expand its distribution in the US market, general entertainment channel (GEC) Colors, known as Aapka Colors in the US and Canada announced its partnership with Verizon FiOS TV.

     

    It will join several other top South Asia-targeted programming services – TV Asia, SET Asia, Star India, Star Plus and Zee TV in Verizon’s South Asian programming package which retails for $34.99 (Rs 2049.19).

     

    The addition of Aapka Colors brings a power packed programming mix from scripted series and reality shows to the biggest Bollywood blockbuster movies, award shows and special events to Verizon’s South Asian programming line-up.

     

    The network is dedicated to providing wholesome viewing for the entire family through reality programs like Mission Sapne, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, Dancing with the Stars: Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Bigg Boss.  The network also airs long running series such as Balika Vadhu, Uttaran, and Madhubala
