MUMBAI: Starting 19 September, the final 13 MTV Hero Honda Roadies will feature the experiences of the Roadies (who have been chosen through auditions in five cities) travelling from India’s hottest desert Jaisalmer to India’s coldest desert Leh over a period of 40 days.

Traversing the country on seven Hero Honda Karizmas, under unbelievably challenging conditions with extremely limited budgets and virtual isolation from their friends and family, the adventurers will undertake various tasks that test their endurance, energy and patience as they learn about India’s disparate environs and people, informs an official communiqué.
After getting through tough auditions held in Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh and Mumbai, seven guys and six girls were chosen who were intelligent, articulate, had a penchant for adventure, and with distinctive personalities and skills that set them apart.
Each episode will have one Roadie voted out, leading to heightened tensions and rivalry. The one of the final 13 Roadies who makes it to Leh will win big – a cash prize of up to Rs. 5,00,000, informs the media release.
MTV Hero Honda Roadies – 3 starting their journey from the picturesque locales of Jaisalmer and proceeds through Phalodi, Bikaner, Rattangarh, Churu, Hissar, New Delhi-Faridabad, Meerut, Dehradhun, Rishikesh, Nahar-Solan, Shimla, Bilaspur, Mandi, Kullu-Manali, Rhotang Pass-Kyelang, winding up at Leh.
The five pre-chosen contestants will be given 1000 points. Before every question, the players have to bid a minimum of 300 points and maximum of how much she holds, before answering the question. A player can bid any of the three racks with objects, which are of different value. The racks also determine the difficulty level of the question. Once the bidding is made, the player selects a particular rack and has to answer the questions asked. One with the least points will be eliminated.
