MUMBAI: Jamie Foxx is reportedly in talks with Sony to play the US President in the upcoming action-drama White House Down. Though no formal offer has been made, it has been reported that the actor is intrigued by the presidential role.
The film revolves around a secret agent who is in charge to save the president when 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is occupied by a paramilitary group.
Channing Tatum is being tapped to portray the secret agent. The film is to be directed by Roland Emmerich.
White House Down is said to be a rival project to Millennium Films` White House Taken that is scheduled to take off before the Sony film.
The other film is being directed by Antoine Fuqua with Gerard Butler tackling the lead role.
