MUMBAI: Asian satellite operator Asiasat and the Paris-based Fashion TV (FTV) have announced that FTV’s flagship channel Fashion TV has commenced broadcasting on Asiasat 3S. Its second channel f.men will be launching on Asiasat 2 in September 2005.
FTV president Michel Adam said, “We are very pleased that with Fashion TV being so successful, we are able to even broaden our viewership, especially to the North Asian territories by being on AsiaSat 3S. With Asiasat 2 and AsiaSat 3S, we are able to further expand our penetration in the region.”
The new channel on AsiaSat 2 will be programming on f.men, and one of its most popular programmes, midnight hot. f.men will fill the vacuum in the media industry by bringing forward and showcasing the men involved in the fashion industry. Viewers can expect to see for the first time, dedicated programming on male models, men designers, men make-up artists, men’s wear and men’s lifestyle.
Fashion TV is now available on Asiasat 3S in C-band with the following reception parameters:

Frequency: 4088 MHz
Polarisation: Horizontal
Modulation: QPSK
Symbol Rate: 2.626 Msm/sec
FEC: 3/4
From September 2005, f.men channel will be available on Asiasat 2 in C-band with the following reception parameters, replacing the f.tv channel:
Transponder: 4A
Frequency: 3796 MHz
Polarisation: Vertical
Modulation: QPSK
Symbol Rate: 2.626 Msym/sec
FEC: 3/4
