Bangalore to host MAIT Auto-Electronic summit
BANGALORE: Manufacturers Association of Information Technology (MAIT) is holding a summit on Growing Synergies, emerging opportunities in the field of Auto-Electronics in Bangalore on 6 July.
The first session will commence with a welcome address by Sanjay Handu, chairman, Southern Region, MAIT will be followed by the theme address by the chairman for the Summit, D. Seetharam, Government Programs executive, of IBM India.
The first keynote address MICO joint managing director M Lakshminarayan, on the theme Automotive Electronics growing synergies will be followed by the second keynote address by Industrial and Distribution Sector, ASEAN/SA, IBM Corporation, Singapore, director K.S. Raghunandan on emerging opportunities in Automotive Electronics.
The chief guest minister for Industries and Infrastructure development P.G.R. Sindhia will give the inaugural address, followed by a vote of thanks by Southern Region, MAIT VC Arun Bhagat.
During the second session, a leading automobile manufacturer is scheduled to speak on Electronics and IT drive performance and safety. This will be followed by a session on IT Standards in Auto Electronics – need of the hour and the speakers would be IBM Solution architect Jayasree Ravichandran and CG-Smith V-P Operations Software Soma Sekhar. Prof. S. Sadagopan, Director, IIIT-B will speak on the subject for the fourth session – Technology forecast – an OS for your car?
The fifth Session will broach on Success Stories, the speakers would be R.S.Manjunath, Head-Product Engg. Tyco Electronics Corporation and Sandip Sarkar, Staff Engineering Manager, Technical Center India.
The final session – a Panel Discussion on the theme: Where do we go from here?, will be chaired by Prof. S. Sadagopan, and the panel will comprise Raghavendra Swamy G.N., President, COO and Member of Board of Directors, CG-Smith Software ,Mr. Chetan Maini, MD, REVA Electric Car Company, IBM Global Services, Mr. Sandip Sarkar, Staff Engineering Manager, Technical Center India.
