Mumbai: Purplle.com is reinforcing its commitment to supporting survivors of sexual assault by raising funds for NGO Majlis. In 2022, over one lakh consumers opted to participate and the brand donated INR. 30 lakhs to the cause. This year, during the Purplle Women’s Week from 3 March to 10 March, the brand will contribute 5 per cent of the proceeds from the sale to Majlis, an NGO that supports and rehabilitates women who have faced sexual violence.
Sharing her thoughts on this initiative, Yami Gautam said, “Appropriate mental, emotional, and legal support for survivors of sexual assault is extremely important. The more help we can garner, the greater the impact. I’m so glad that I can be a part of the Purplle Women’s Week campaign again, which helps thousands of women subjected to sexual assault and violence in the country. As we celebrate International Women’s Day, Purplle.com continues to contribute significantly to the aid and well-being of women, and I encourage everyone to support the initiative.”
