MUMBAI: For Bacardi lovers the heady cocktail has an added kick. Sex and the City actress Kim Cattrall will be the celeb spokeswoman for its new product Island Breeze, in the US.
Cattrall will appear in a series of print and cable television ads touting Island Breeze. The product claims to have only half the calories of traditional spirits and half the calories of wine while still delivering great taste.
The company states that the alluring, confident persona and trademark sexiness of Cattrall perfectly embodies Island Breeze, whose tagline is “Now you can have it all”.
Cattrall says, “I am thrilled to be working with Island Breeze. A spirit with great taste and half the calories of wine and traditional spirits — what took so long?”
Bacardi chairman global new product development Alfredo Piedra says, “Kim is the perfect example of a strong, independent woman who lives life to the fullest. She is an icon; a powerful, ‘she gets what she wants’ kind of woman.
“Both adult men and women can relate to Kim, making her the perfect fit to represent Island Breeze. We believe Kim will help do for Island Breeze what Sex and the City did for the cosmopolitan cocktail.”
Island Breeze is made with Premium Bacardi rum, infused with natural fruit flavours and sucralose, a natural-sugar substitute with no caloric content.
