Mumbai: Kyoorius registered a record number of over 3200 entries for 2023 Kyoorius Creative Awards presented by Zee. The entries come from 381 entrants from 286 companies, including brands, network agencies, independent agencies, creative hotshops, media agencies, production houses, PR firms, event and activation agencies, and even freelancers.
“Even in an economic environment filled with talks of slowdowns and recessions, a 10% increase overall showcases the need for India’s advertising and marketing communications industry to recognise and celebrate best practices. Kyoorius has always believed in the power of creativity. We believe that all it takes is a creative idea to excite, engage, convert, inform, and influence. Continuously build brands, and business,” said Kyoorius founder and CEO Rajesh Kejriwal.
Spanning 21 disciplines, the entries will now be brought before a jury comprising over 45 industry stalwarts and experts from India and across the world. Judging commenced on 5 May with an online round, which will be followed by an in-person jury meet on the 18 and 19 May at the Radisson Blu Resort and Spa in Alibaug, Maharashtra.
The 2023 Kyoorius Creative Awards will culminate at the KCA23 Awards Night on 2 June at the Jio World Convention Centre, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai. It’s here that the winners of the Black, Blue, Purple and Brass Elephants will be revealed and etched in stone, to be remembered in history.
Spread across 6 jury groups, the jury will debate, deliberate, and discuss each entry through a comprehensive, meticulous, rigorous process. All voting remains private, and never by a show of hands.
Jury Group 1 will judge the Press, Outdoor, Direct, Industry Craft, Radio & Audio and Integrated disciplines. Ajay Gahlaut, independent creative, serves as Jury Chair. Joining him are Anuraag Khandelwal, (CCO, Writer & Art Director, 82.5 Communications), Binaifer Dulani (Founding Member & Creative, Talented), Godwin D’Mello (ECD, DDB Mudra Group), Joji Jacob (Creative Partner & Co-Founder, BLKJ Havas Singapore), Manish Bhatt (Founder Director, Scarecrow M&C Saatchi), and Priya Shivakumar (Senior NCD, Wunderman Thompson India)
Jury Group 2 will judge the Film and Broadcast disciplines. Santosh Padhi, CCO, Wieden+Kennedy India) serves as Jury Chair. Joining him are Anusheela Saha (ECD, FCB India), Archie Singh (Copywriter, Impact BBDO), Azazul Haque (Chief Content Officer, Media.Monks India), Garima Khandelwal (CCO, Mullen Lintas), Hemant Shringy (CCO, BBDO India), and Kunal Dubey (CMO, Cleartrip).
Jury Group 3 will judge the Film Craft discipline. Arun Iyer (Founder and Creative Partner, Spring Marketing Capital) serves as Jury Chair. Joining him are Amit Sharma (Director, Chrome Pictures), Kopal Naithani (Founder/ Director, Superfly Films), Raj Deepak Das (CEO & CCO, Leo Burnett South Asia), Shashanka Chaturvedi (Director, Good Morning Film), Tanvi Gandhi (Director, Equinox Films), Vinil Matthew (Director, Breathless) and Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy (Director, Corcoise).
Jury Group 4 will judge the Experience & Activation, Gaming & Virtual Worlds, Public Service Announcements, and Creativity For Good disciplines. Rahul Mathew (CCO, DDB Mudra Group) serves as Jury Chair. Joining him are Aalap Desai (CCO, dentsu creative India), Anu Joseph (Co-Founder & Creative Vice-Chairman, Creativeland Asia), Arvind RP (CMO, McDonald’s India), Mukund Olety (CCO, VMLY&R), Natasha Romariz Maasri (ECD, Leo Burnett MEA), PG Aditiya (Co-Founder & CCO, Talented), Ritu Sharda (CCO, Ogilvy India) and Tista Sen (CEO & CCO, Ladyfinger).
Jury Group 5 will judge the Digital Display, Push & Search, Digital Design & Craft, Social and Technology disciplines. Theresa Ong (Head of Mid-Market Business, Meta APAC) will serve as Jury Chair. Joining her are Aditya Mehendale (NCD, Schbang), Anish Varghese (Former CCO, Liqvid.Asia India), Gurbaksh Singh (Chief Innovation Officer, dentsu creative India), Kartikeya Tiwari (NCD, Kinnect), Naila Patel (NCD, Mirium), and Shikha Gupta (Creative Director, BlissClub).
Jury Group 6 will judge the Branded Content & Entertainment, Creative Use Of Data, Creative Use Of Media and Commerce disciplines. Pallavi Chakravarti (Founder & CCO, Fundamental) will serve as Jury Chair. Joining her are Harshad Rajadhyaksha (CCO, Ogilvy India), Harshada Menon (Group Creative Director, DDB Mudra Group), Kawal Shoor (Planner & Founding Partner, The Womb), Neil Cooper (Executive Creative Director, Critical Mass), Oindrila Roy (MD, Publicis Worldwide India) and Viren Sean Noronha (Social and Culture Marketing Charter, Swiggy.
