  • Titan appoints Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador

    MUMBAI: Titan, has appointed mega star Aamir Khan as its brand ambassador who will be endorsing the range of Titan watches. Titan Watches CEO Bijou Kurien expressed, “There is a perfect fit between Aamir Khan and Titan – their stature, timelessness, and the love and trust they both share with the people both nationally and internationally, makes this an ideal partnership. Moreover, Aamir has a universal appeal that extends to everyone across age groups, just as our watches do. We believe his endorsement of Titan will go a long way towards reinforcing the fact that a watch is not just a time keeping device but an accessory that helps in self-expression.”

    The association with Aamir Khan was mainly due to the brand values that both Titan and the actor are associated with. “We are both known for our commitment and obsession towards perfection, quality, innovativeness, setting new trends and our market leadership,” added Kurien.
     
     

    With this tie up, Titan has launched a new concept to promote the latest trends in the industry and will focus on watches as an important accessory of style and fashion. This is Titan’s first initiative as a watch manufacturer towards educating its consumers on the different aspects both in terms of look and feel for time wear. Tackling the campaign in terms of extending style in the context of accessories that complete grooming, the campaign stresses on a watch no longer being only a time teller but a style statement.

    As brand ambassador, the celebrated actor will play a key role in
    brand and product communication on television, in print and outdoor media. Titan has sold more than 60 million watches in the last 17 years and retails out of more than 5000 multi-brand outlets and 175 exclusive World of Titan outlets.

  • Titan vies for space in designer eyewear market

    MUMBAI: Looks like Titan is looking beyond watches. On 23 June, Titan Industries announced the national launch of Fastrack Eye Gear- a designer eyewear collection, thus marking its foray into the fashion accessories space.
     
     
    An extension of Titan Fastrack, Eye Gear is a sub-brand targeted at the Indian youth. The trendy and fashionable Eye Gear range is available in four distinct collections – Acid, CafĂ©, City Slik and Revv. Titan thus seeks to bring in a new dimension to the Indian sunglasses market, which until now was dominated by the unorganised players with expensive, branded and designer labels. The new range of sunglasses is a combination of style, protection and value. The collection is priced within the range of Rs 695 to Rs 1995, says an official press release.

    Titan Design Studio product designer Neil Foley says, “Youth of today are constantly looking for ways to convey their identity and individuality. The Fastrack Eye Gear collection seeks to fulfill this need and has been designed to convey the new attitude of the young”.

    One can choose from the funky ambers, cool blues, light oranges or the classic blacks. The frames are made from corrosion resistant stainless steel, grilamide and magnesium aluminium alloy and are designed to provide a snug, comfortable fit. All materials used for the frames are non-allergenic and offers 100 per cent UV 400 protection.

    The lenses are made of high quality optical grade polycarbonate that has been certified and tested to ANSI standards, which is the international norm for quality and includes UV protection, vision distortion and impact resistance. Fastrack Eye Gear is available at all Titan showrooms around the world as well as at Shopper Stop, Lifestyle, Planet M and Musicworld outlets, adds the release.

  • Titan launches Tommy Hilfiger watches in India

    NEW DELHI: Titan Industries Limited today announced the official launch of the Tommy Hilfiger watch collection in India.

    Titan has entered into an exclusive sub-licensing arrangement with GVM International Limited, a member of the Murjani Group, for the marketing and distribution of Tommy Hilfiger watches in India.
     
     
    The water-resistant watches are crafted with care, and finished with the unexpected, signature details that are unique to the Tommy Hilfiger brand. These fashionable watches are cool, classic, spirited, fresh and fun.

    Expanding into the watch category was a natural step for designer Tommy Hilfiger. “I have always loved watches and my father was in the watch business,” said Hilfiger, adding, “The collection has evolved into a very exciting, unique and innovative line, which is enjoying outstanding success in our North American, European and Asian markets.”

    According to Titan Industries COO Bijou Kurien, “The Indian fashion scene has always been in tune with international styles and trends. The launch of Tommy Hilfiger watches in India will further maintain our position with the fashion conscious, self indulgent, young urban Indian men and women.”

    The Tommy Hilfiger watch collection, comprising over 50 styles for men and women, is priced between Rs 3,995 and Rs 8,995. The watches are available at World of Titan showrooms, Tommy Hilfiger flagship stores, Shoppers Stop and other select premium multi-brand watch outlets across the country.
