    Disney’s ‘Doraemon’ second most watched program: BARC Kids week 6

    MUMBAI: Week 6 proved to be a considerably good one for channels in the kids genre in terms of viewership. Viacom18’s Nick stayed strong in its top position as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India’s all India (U+R) data in NCCS All 4-14 Individuals category.

    With 81634 (000s sums) ratings, Nick saw a considerable jump from last week’s ratings of 77521 (000s sums).

    Pogo TV overtook Cartoon Network for the second position in the chart with a viewership rating of 57635 (000s sums), followed by Cartoon Network, which secured 54735 (000s sums) ratings.

    Hungama with 54535 (000s sums) ratings jumped one spot to perch at the fourth spot, while Disney Channel dropped down one place to the fifth spot with 52422 (000s sums).

    Among the top five most watched programs in the kids genre, Nick’s Motu Patlu Kungfu Kings continued to rule the number one spot with 876 (000s sums) ratings.

    Disney Channel’s Doraemon The Movie: Toofani Adventure with 652 (000s sums) maintained its second position and was followed by Pogo TV ‘s Chhota Bheem & Krishna: Pataliputra – City of the Dead with 615 (‘000s sums) in the third spot.

    Nick’s flagship teen show Shiva secured the fourth spot with ratings of 515 (000s sums). The fifth spot was yet again dominated by Pogo TV’s Chhota Bheem Aur Ganesh In The Amazing Odyssey with 514 (000s sums) ratings.

    MUMBAI: The English entertainment players continue to dominate the space as per week 6 ratings data of Broadcast Audience Research Data (BARC) India across 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB : 4+ Individuals.

    AXN led the English GEC space, while Movies Now stayed put in the top position in the English movies’ genre.

    English Entertainment

    AXN stands at the number one position with 259 (‘000s) followed by Comedy Central with 226 (‘000s) in the second place. The third position is secured by Zee Café with 171 (‘000s) while Star World holds the fourth position with 113 (‘000s). Colors Infinity SD takes the fifth spot with 107 (‘000s).

    English Movies

    Movies Now continues to stay in the first place with 2542 (‘000s). Star Movies with 2310 (‘000s) and HBO with 1810 (‘000s) grabbed the second and the third positions respectively. Sony Pix secured the fourth position with 1517 (‘000s) followed be Zee Studio with 1300 (‘000s) in the fifth place.

    MUMBAI: Sun TV Network’s Tamil general entertainment channel Sun TV continues to dominate the charts across genres, while Zee’s Hindi general entertainment channel Zee TV toppled Colors to claim its stake on the third slot in week 6 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data.

    Sun TV retained its leadership position with an increase in ratings of 1020881 (‘000s) as against 992291 (‘000s) in week 5. On the other hand, Star Plus in the second place saw a fall in ratings but managed to hold its spot with 760263 (‘000s) as against 760263 (‘000s) in the previous week.

    Zee TV climbed up to the three rung from its fourth position in week 6 with  733137 (‘000s), pushing Colors down to the number four with 729531 (‘000s).

    Zee Anmol secured the fifth slot with 671397 (‘000s) followed by Sony Max on the sixth berth with 454190 (‘000s), while Life OK with 451859 (‘000s) stood at number seven.

    ETV Telugu with with 442609 (‘000s), Star Ustav with 440054 (‘000s) and Zee Cinema with 411409 (‘000) garnered eighth, ninth and tenth slots respectively.

    MUMBAI: Star Plus continues to rule the Hindi general entertainment channels (GECs) genre even after witnessing a dip in ratings. While the India – Sri Lanka T20 match helped DD National to make a comeback in the top 10 channels, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data of week 6. 

    Star Plus saw fall in ratings but was perched in the numero uno position with 711158 (‘000s) as against 724223 (‘000s) in week 5. Second in line Colors also shed some ratings but managed to secure its slot with 689432 (‘000s) as against 713106 (‘000s) in the previous week. 

    Zee Networks’ Hindi entertainment channel Zee TV bagged the third slot with an increase in ratings at 686349 (‘000s) followed by Zee’s free to air (FTA) channel Zee Anmol on fourth spot with 669828 (‘000s) and Star India’s FTA channel Star Ustav at number five with 437543 (‘000s). 

    Life OK fell to the sixth spot from five and scored 437228 (‘000s) whereas Sony Pal climbed up at number seven from its last week’s ninth position with 397413 (‘000s). Sony Entertainment Television stood at number eight with 349537 (‘000s) while its sister channel Sab exited the list. 

    DD National came back in the top ten channels in Hindi GECs and grabbed the ninth slot with 348202 (‘000s) followed by Rishtey in the tenth slot with 343724 (‘000s).
