    MUMBAI: Times Now and CNBC TV18 continued to dominate the English news and business news spaces respectively. According to week 9 Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data, while News 9 made a comeback in the English news space, News Nation entered the week’s top Hindi news channel list as per the data.

    In the Hindi news space Aaj Tak continued its lead while CNBC Awaaz grabbed the first spot in the business news genre. The English and Hindi news space observed decrease in their viewership while the business news genre saw an increase in the ratings.

    English News

    Times Now remained as the undisputed leader in the English news space with 470 (‘000s) as compared to 627 (‘000s) in week 8. NDTV 24×7 stood at the second position with 254 (‘000s) followed by India Today Television bagging the third spot with 181 (‘000s). CNN IBN with 160 (‘000s) grabbed the fourth position. News 9 with 106 (‘000s) entered the list at the fifth position.

    English business News

    CNBC TV18 continued to dominate the genre with 927 (‘000s) followed by ET Now with 341 (‘000s) grabbing the second position. NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime took with 56 (‘000s) and Bloomberg TV with 35 (‘000s) took the third and fourth position respectively.

    Hindi News

    Despite a decrease in ratings, Aaj Tak with 94141(‘000s) continued to dominate the space while India TV stood at the second position with 76772 (‘000s).  ABP News toppled Zee News securing the third position with 55609 (‘000s) followed by Zee news with 51349 (‘000s) in fourth place. News Nation made a comeback securing  the number five position with 47439 (‘000s).

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz saw a decrease in the ratings grabbing the first spot with 1351 (‘000s) as against 1482 (‘000s) in week 8. Zee Business stood at the second spot with 671 (‘000s).

    MUMBAI: Star Plus continued to lead the Hindi general entertainment channel (GECs) genre while  with a push from  Asia Cup T20, DD National entered the top ten list of Hindi GEC while on the other hand top three GECs have declined in ratings, in week 9 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data. 

    Even after a fall in ratings, Star Plus grabbed the lead position with 677342 (‘000s) against 768495 (‘000s) in week 8, followed by Colors also with a decrease in ratings but at the second place with 667036 (‘000s) against 725868 (‘000s) in previous week.  

    Zee Network’s Hindi entertainment channel Zee TV garnered the third berth with a decline in ratings at 626362 (‘000s) against 645473 (‘000s) in previous week. On the other hand, its free to air channel Zee Anmol too witnessed a fall in ratings and secured the fourth spot with 594218 (‘000s) against 625553 (‘000s) in last week. 

    DD National grabbed the fifth spot in the space with 509504 (‘000s) followed by Sony Pal on sixth slot with 500119 (‘000s) and Star Utsav with 486353 (‘000s) stood at number seven. 

    Life OK, Rishtey and Sab TV bagged eighth, ninth and tenth position with 435372 (‘000s),  410192 (‘000s) and  384177 (‘000s) respectively.

    MUMBAI: There were no major shifts in week 9 of BARC ratings as far as the regional television channels were concerned. The leaders of the respective genres continued to dominate their position, whereas ETV Bihar Jharkhand exited the top five in the Bhojpuri genre and Polimer TV exited the Tamil genre .Oscar Movies entered Bhojpuri genre and J Movies entered in Tamil genre 

    Bangla GECs

    Star Jalsha continued to be the numero uno channel in the Bangla general entertainment channel with 244740 (‘000s) as against 223650 (‘000s) in week eight. Zee Bangla retained the second berth with 131428(‘000s) followed by Jalsha Movies in the third position with 62471 (‘000s).Zee Bangla Cinema was in fourth slot with 38636 (‘000s).Though Colors Bangla saw a fall in its rating , it maintained the fifth position with 29842 (‘000s) as against 30744 (‘000s) in previous week . 

    Bhojpuri GECs 

    Though Big Magic Ganga saw fall in its rating, it continued to maintain first position with 19226 (‘000s) as against 20196 (‘000s) in the previous week. Bhojpuri Cinema retained second berth with 15793 (‘000s) followed by Dabangg at third position with 8222 (‘000s). Dangal TV with 7730 (‘000s) retained fourth slot. Oscar Movies Bhojpuri bagged fifth position with 3142 (‘000s) whereas ETV Bihar Jharkhand exited the top five in the Bhojpuri genre. 

    Kannada GECs

    Colors Kannada retained numero uno position with 24060 (‘000s) followed by Suvarna at number two position with 175718 (‘000s) as against 182363 (‘000s) in the previous week. Zee Kannada retained third spot with 157397 (‘000s), while Udaya Movies at fourth berth with 135803 (‘000s) followed by Udaya TV at fifth spot with 134133 (‘000s).

    Malayalam GECs

    Though Asianet saw a fall in its rating , it continued to dominate first position with 324464 (‘000s) as against 410813 (‘000s) in previous week. Mazhavil Manorama retained second position with 91653 (‘000s) . Surya TV bagged third position with 83271 (‘000s) pushing down Flowers TV at fourth position with 81607 (‘000s) as against 72372 (‘000s) in previous week. Asianet Movies came down to fifth position from fourth position with 57168 (‘000s) as against 60124 (‘000s) in week eight.

    Marathi GECs

    Zee Marathi also remained at the top with 131479 (‘000s) followed by Colors Marathi in second position with 99583 (‘000s) as against 103425(‘000s) in the previous week. Zee Talkies retained third position with 67297 (‘000s), while Star Pravah climbed up to fourth position with 39096 (‘000s) pushing down Fakt Marathi to fifth position with 34458(‘000s)

    Oriya GECs 

    Sarthak TV retained position on the top with a sharp rise in its rating to 105387 (‘000s) as against 88626 (‘000s) in week eight. Tarang TV retained second berth with 50819(‘000s). Odisha TV climbed up to third position from fourth position with 14667 (‘000s) pushing down Colors Oriya in fourth position with 14629 (‘000s) as against 20625(‘000s)in week eight, followed by Alankar at fifth position with 8740 (‘000s) .

    Tamil GECs 

    Sun TV continued to be in the top most position in the Tamil general entertainment space with 976616 (‘000s) followed by KTV at second position with 273723 (‘000s). Whereas Star Vijay continued to hold its third position with 171870 (‘000s). Zee Tamil climbed up to fourth position from fifth position with 82998 (‘000s) as against 79165(‘000s) in the previous week. J Movies bagged the fifth position with 76673 (‘000s) while Polimer TV exited from the top five in Tamil general entertainment space. 

    Telugu GECs 

    ETV Telugu continued to be the leader in the Telugu general entertainment space with 387663 (‘000s) followed by Zee Telugu at second position with 358683 (‘000s), while Maa TV retained the third berth with 355552 (‘000s) as against 365602 (‘000s) and Gemini TV continued to hold fourth position with 290460 (‘000s). Though there was slight dip in rating for Gemini Movies, it retained fifth position with 174603 (‘000s) as againt 189472 (‘000s) in week eight.

    MUMBAI Week 9 saw Viacom 18’s  Nick dominating the kids television genre as per Broadcast Audience Research Council India’s  all India (U+R) data in NCCS All 4-14 Individuals category.

    The channel continued to retain its top position  with 77619 (000s sums) ratings, followed by Turner International India Pogo Tv with a rating of 60792(000s sums). Cartoon Network has fared better this week at the third spot with a viewership rating of 55414(000s sums) as opposed to 53108(00s sums) last week.

    Following close on Cartoon Network’s heels, Hungama grabbed the fourth spot with a viewership rating of 55388 (000s sums), while Disney Channel  was last amongst the five most watched channels in the genre with a rating of 53835(000s sums)

    When it comes to top five programs in the kids genre, Nick’s  Motu Patlu Deep Sea Adventure  and  Motu Patlu, Kungfu, King Returns reigned at the top two positions with 702(000s sums) and 568(000s sums) ratings respectively. These were closely followed Pogo TV’s  Chhota Bheem: Mission Mangalyaan which took on the third spot  with viewership rating of 564 (000s sums) and Chhota Bheem Himalayan Adventure at the fourth spot with 516 (000s sums ) ratings. The fifth most watched program in the kids genre was  Cartoon Network’s Kid Krrish with 493(000 sums). There has been an overall decline in viewership ratings in the genre.

    MUMBAI: Courtesy the Aisa Cup, Star Sports 3, for the first time made its entry in top ten channels group across genres in Broadcast Audience Research Counci (BARC) week 9 at number 7. Sun TV continued to lead across genres and retained its pole position.  On the other hand, DD National re-entered the top ten list, while Sony Max and ETV Telugu exited the top ten list in week 9 of l BARC all India data.

    Sun TV garnered the first position with 1044039 (‘000s) followed by Star Plus on second position with 737564 (‘000s) and Colors with 705410 (‘000s) stood at number three. 

    Zee TV maintained its fourth slot with 675512 (‘000s) whereas its free to air channel Zee Anmol stood at number five with 595027 (‘000s). 

    In week 9, DD National made it’s entry in top ten on number six  with 537172 (‘000s) while Star Sports 3 bagged seventh slot with 510856 (‘000s). 

    Sony Pal, Star Utsav  and Life OK grabbed the eighth, ninth and tenth slot with 503984(‘000s), 488864 (‘000s) and 451424 (‘000s) respectively.
