    BARC week 15: Sony Max topples Star Plus to claim no 2 slot

    MUMBAI: After Asia Cup and ICC World Cup T20, it’s time for Vivo IPL to take a bow. Sony Entertainment Television’s movie channel Sony Max replaced Star Plus at number two position while Sun TV continued to dominate across genres in week 15 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data.    

    Sun TV garnered first position with 1057923 Impressions (000’s). Sony Max toppled Star Plus to claim second position with 946870 Impressions (000s) pushing down Star Plus at number three with 757941 Impressions (000s) and Colors with 708703 Impressions (000s) at fourth number. 

    Zee TV grabbed fifth place with 607456 Impressions (000s).  Life OK stood at number six with 539804 Impressions (000’s) followed by Sony Pal with 514198 Impressions (000’s) which grabbed seventh slot and Zee Anmol fell at number eight with 489862 Impressions (000’s).

    Rishtey and Zee Telugu garnered ninth and tenth spot with 458437 Impressions (000s) and 447027 Impressions (000s) respectively.

    Sun TV garnered first position with 1057923 Impressions (000’s). Sony Max toppled Star Plus to claim second position with 946870 Impressions (000s) pushing down Star Plus at number three with 757941 Impressions (000s) and Colors with 708703 Impressions (000s) at fourth number. 

    Zee TV grabbed fifth place with 607456 Impressions (000s).  Life OK stood at number six with 539804 Impressions (000’s) followed by Sony Pal with 514198 Impressions (000’s) which grabbed seventh slot and Zee Anmol fell at number eight with 489862 Impressions (000’s).

    Rishtey and Zee Telugu garnered ninth and tenth spot with 458437 Impressions (000s) and 447027 Impressions (000s) respectively.

    BARC week 14: ETV Telugu emerges as no. 1 channel in Telugu GEC

    MUMBAI: ETV Telugu replaced Zee Telugu and grabbed leadership position in week 14 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) all India data. In the Bangla GEC space, Colors Bangla made its entry inthe top five again while ABP Ananda exited the list.  On the other hand in Kannada GEC, Suvrana replaced Zee Kannada at second position in week 14.

    Bangla GECs

    Star Jalsha continued to be at the number one position in the Bangla GEC space with 196633 Impressions (000’s). Zee Bangla stood at the second berth with 130119 Impressions (000’s) followed by Jalsha Movies in the third position with 48837 Impressions (000’s). ABP Ananda exited the top five list in week 14.

    Zee Bangla Cinema bagged the fourth slot with 33418 Impressions (000’s) while Colors Bangla entered the top five channels this week at number five with 29263 Impressions (000’s).

    Bhojpuri GECs

    Big Ganga retained the pole position with 16765 Impressions (000’s) followed by Bhojpuri Cinema at the second position with 9922 Impressions ( 000’s). Dangal TV bagged the third slot with 6434 Impressions (000’s). Dabangg with 5674 Impressions (000’s) was on fourth slot and Oscar Movies Bhojpuri with 2577 Impressions (000’s) was on the fifth position respectively.

    Kannada GECs

    Colors Kannada stood at the top position with 247946 Impressions (000’s) while Suvrana climbed up to number two from fifth with 178024 Impressions (000’s) followed by Udaya TV with 172069 Impressions (000’s). Udaya Movies bagged the number four spot with 170014 Impressions (000’s) and Zee Kannada dropped to number five from two with 155204 Impressions (000’s).

    Malayalam GECs

    Asianet continued to dominated the genre at first position with 311011 Impressions (000’s). Mazhavil Manorama took the second position with 104351 Impressions (000’s). Flowers TV bagged third position with 71025 Impressions (000’s) followed by Surya TV on fourth slot with 68313 Impressions (000’s) which pushed down Asianet Movies to fifth slot with 61988 Impressions (000’s).

    Marathi GECs

    Zee Marathi took the top spot with 132345 Impressions (000’s) followed by Colors Marathi in second position with 91262 Impressions (000’s). Zee Talkies bagged third position with 63225 Impressions (000’s) followed by Fakt Marathi at the fourth position with  27814 Impressions (000’s). Star Pravah stood at fifth position with 23826 Impressions (000’s).

    Oriya GECs

    Sarthak TV bagged the number one position with 105351 Impressions (000’s) followed by Tarang TV at the second berth with 50413 Impressions (000’s). Colors Oriya garnered third position with 16319 Impressions (000’s) while Odisha TV grabbed the fourth position with 11912 Impressions (000’s). Alankar stood at the fifth position with 7984 Impressions (000’s).

    Tamil GECs

    With no change in the position, Sun TV  continues to top the Tamil GEC with 926201 Impressions (000’s) followed by KTV at second position with 257879 Impressions (000’s). Star Vijay held the third position with 145536 Impressions (000’s). Zee Tamil with 107402 Impressions (000’s) and Polimer with 69781 Impressions (000’s)grabbed the fourth and fifth position respectively.

    Telugu GECs

    ETV Telugu became number one channel in Telugu GEC with 409782 Impressions (000’s) and pushed down Zee Telugu to number two with 398788 Impressions (000’s).  Maa TV remained at the third berth with 392493 Impressions’ 000 while Gemini TV bagged the fourth position with 338823 Impressions’ 000. Gemini Movies took the  fifth position with 167823 Impressions’ 000.

    MUMBAI: Times Network’s English and business news channel Times Now and ET Now respectively dominated their respective genres in week 14. India TV garnered the number one position in Hindi News. According to week 14 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings, the leadership has been maintained in this week’s Hindi business news genre with CNBC Awaaz.

    English News

    Times Now continued to rule the English news genre with 306 (‘000s) followed by India Today Television at the second place with 147 (‘000s). CNN IBN took the third position with 120 (‘000s), while News 9 was in fourth place with 93 (‘000s).  NDTV 24×7 secured the fifth position with 92 (‘000s).

    English Business News

    ET Now dominated the English business news genre with 88 (‘000s) followed by CNBC TV18 with 87 (‘000s) in the second place. NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime stayed at the third position with 28 (‘000s) while Bloomberg TV maintained its fourth slot with 15 (‘000s).

    Hindi News

    India TV grabbed the first berth with 78174 (‘000s) followed by Aaj Tak garnering the second position with 73704 (‘000s). India News stood at number three with 57731 (‘000s). ABP News moved up the the fourth position with 48857 (‘000s) followed by News Nation with 47637 (‘000s) grabbing the fifth slot.

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz dominated the genre with 660 (‘000s) followed by Zee Business with 513 (‘000s) at number two.

According to week 14 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings, the leadership has been maintained in this week’s Hindi business news genre with CNBC Awaaz.

    English News

    Times Now continued to rule the English news genre with 306 (‘000s) followed by India Today Television at the second place with 147 (‘000s). CNN IBN took the third position with 120 (‘000s), while News 9 was in fourth place with 93 (‘000s).  NDTV 24×7 secured the fifth position with 92 (‘000s).

    BARC week 14: Nick reigns at the top in kids genre with Motu Patlu

    MUMBAI: Week 14 saw Viacom 18’s Nick continuing to reign at the lead position as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India’s all India (U+R) data in NCCS All 4-14 Individuals category. The genre overall has seen a jump in ratings as compared to last month.

    Nick bagged a whooping 84552 (000s sums) ratings, followed by Pogo TV with 72336 (000s sums) and Disney Channel at number three with 61744 (000s sums) ratings.

    Hungama was close at heels at fourth spot with 59841 (000’s sums ) viewership ratings. Turner’s Cartoon Network followed at the fifth spot with a viewership rating of 56039 (000s sums).

    When it comes to top five programs in the kids genre, Nick’s Motu Patlu Aur Khazaane Ki Race [2015 – Animated] is back in lead with a rating of 884 (000s sums) closely followed by Pogo TV’s Chhota Bheem: Master of Shaolin [2011 – Animated] with 809 (000s sums) ratings.

    Nick’s Motu Patlu in Wonderland [2013 – Animated] revisited the top five program list at third spot with a slightly lower rating of 725 (000s sums). Pogo Tv’s Chhota Bheem : Gadbad Ghotala and Tom and Jerry: A Nutcracker Tale [2007 – Animated] followed at fourth and fifth spot with a viewership rating of 631 (000s sums) and 621(000’s sums) respectively.

History TV18 grabbed the second position with 4690 (‘000s) followed by National Geographic Channel on the number three place with 3286 (‘000s).

    Animal Planet With 3082 (‘000s) and Nat Geo Wild with 2008 (‘000s) secured the fourth and fifth spot respectively.
