    MUMBAI: MUMBAI: The IPL  has Sony Max in the  lead  across genres,  replacing Sun TV in week 16 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data.  Sun TV was number two followed by Colors on third position and Star Plus on fourth slot across genres

     

    Sony Max garnered first position with 944126 Impressions (000’s). While Sun TV which has been the leader across the genres until week 16, dropped down to the second slot with  940621 Impressions (000’s) this week.

     

     

    Colors bagged the third position with 711418 Impressions (000’s) followed by Star Plus on number four with 683553 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV grabbed fifth space with 594450 Impressions (000s).

     

     

    Sony Pal stood at number six with 532838 Impressions (000’s) followed by Zee Anmol with 514734  Impressions (000’s) grabbed seventh slot and Life OK fell at number eight with 470827 Impressions (000’s).

     

     

    Zee Telugu and Rishtey garnered ninth and tenth spots with 465916 Impressions (000s) and 436975 Impressions (000s) respectively.

    MUMBAI: Colors Bangla exited the top five channels of Bangla GEC, while in the Bhojpuri GEC genre, ETV Bihar Jharkhand entered the top five channel list and Oscar Movies Bhojpuri exited the list. At the same time, GECs leaders in other regional genres continues to lead their respective genres in week 15 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data.

    Bangla GECs

    Star Jalsha retained the number one position in the Bangla GEC space with 190641 Impressions (000’s). Zee Bangla stood at the second berth with 127689 Impressions (000’s) followed by Jalsha Movies in the third position with 48710 Impressions (000’s).

    Zee Bangla Cinema bagged the fourth slot with 31304 Impressions (000’s) while ABP Ananda entered the top five channels this week at number five with 29336 Impressions (000’s) while Colors Bangla exited the list in week 15.

    Bhojpuri GECs

    Big Ganga continued at the pole position with 18274 Impressions (000’s) followed by Bhojpuri Cinema at the second position with 13903 Impressions ( 000’s). Dabangg bagged the third slot with 5674 Impressions (000’s). Dangal TV with 4780 Impressions (000’s) was on fourth slot and ETV Bihar Jharkhand with 2244 Impressions (000’s) on the fifth position respectively. In week 15, Oscar Movies Bhojpuri exited the top five channel list.  

    Kannada GECs

    Colors Kannada stood at the top position with 257868 Impressions (000’s) while Suvrana climbed up at number two from fifth with 165442 Impressions (000’s) followed by Udaya Movies with 157391 Impressions (000’s) at the third place. Zee Kannada bagged the number four spot with 154716 Impressions (000’s) and Udaya TV with 153601 Impressions (000’s) stood on fifth.

    Malayalam GECs

    Asianet continued to dominate the genre at the first position with 316276 Impressions (000’s). Mazhavil Manorama took the second position with 109319 Impressions (000’s). Surya TV bagged third position with 88621 Impressions (000’s) followed by Flowers TV on fourth slot with 61860 Impressions 000’s and Asianet Movies grabbed fifth slot with 58311 Impressions (000’s).

    Marathi GECs

    Zee Marathi took the top spot with 139585 Impressions (000’s) followed by Colors Marathi in second position with 93215 Impressions (000’s). Zee Talkies bagged third position with 70385 Impressions (000’s) followed by Fakt Marathi at the fourth position with  32884 Impressions (000’s). Star Pravah stood at fifth position with 29434 Impressions (000’s).

    Oriya GECs

    Sarthak TV bagged the number one position with 94518 Impressions (000’s) followed by Tarang TV at the second berth with 50749 Impressions (000’s). Colors Oriya garnered third position with 16906 Impressions (000’s) while Odisha TV grabbed the fourth position with 13427 Impressions (000’s). Alankar stood at the fifth position with 8745 Impressions (000’s).

    Tamil GECs

    Sun TV  continued to top the Tamil GEC space with 992361 Impressions (000’s) followed by KTV at second position with 237759 Impressions (000’s). Star Vijay held the third position with 157604 Impressions (000’s). Zee Tamil with 132754 Impressions (000’s) and Kalaignar TV with 70769 Impressions (000’s) stood at the fourth and fifth position respectively.

    Telugu GECs

    Zee Telugu emerged as the number one channel in Telugu GEC with 434399 Impressions’ (000s) followed by ETV Telugu at number two with 406027 Impressions (000’s).  Maa TV remained at the third berth with 396097 Impressions’ 000 while Gemini TV bagged the fourth position with 342714 Impressions’ 000. Gemini Movies took the  fifth position with 176871 Impressions’ (000’s).

    MUMBAI: Times Now continued to maintain its legacy by dominating the English news while CNBC TV18 toppled ET Now securing the first position in English Business News genre. The entire English News space observed mixed ratings this week.India TV took the first spot in Hindi News space this week. According to week 15 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India ratings, CNBC Awaz continued to lead the Hindi business news genre.

    English News

    Times Now continued to rule the English news genre with an increase in the ratings with 442 Impressions (‘000s) as compared to 306 (‘000s) in week 14. A newly revamped CNN-News18 climbed up the row and grabbed the second place with 184 Impressions (‘000s). India Today Television took the third position with 172 Impressions (‘000s), while NDTV 24×7 witnessed an increase in the ratings and stood at the fourth place with160 Impressions (‘000s) as compared to 92 Impressions (‘000s) in week 14. News X bagged the fifth position with 97 Impressions (‘000s).

    English Business News

    CNBC TV 18 toppled ET Now securing the first position with 154 Impressions (‘000s). ET Now took the second spot with 150 Impressions (‘000s) followed by NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime at the third position with 36 Impressions (‘000s) while Bloomberg TV maintained its fourth position with a downfall in ratings to 8 Impressions (‘000s) as compared with 15 Impressions (‘000s) in week 14.

    Hindi News

    thouh India TV maintained  its number one spot observed a decline in the ratings this week with 66780 Impressions (000s) as compared to 78174 Impressions (000s) in week 14. Aaj Tak with 62473 Impressions (000s) stood at the second position. India News took the third position with 39804 Impressions (000s). ABP news settled down at number four with 38516 Impressions (000s) while News Nation took the fifth berth with 34332 Impressions (000s).  

    Hindi Business news

    CNBC Awaz ranked number one with 714 Impressions (000s), followed by Zee Business at second position with 473 Impressions (000s)

    POGO TV garnered second position with 79196 impressions (000s). Hungama followed in third position with 699048 impressions (000s).Disney channel with 66595 impressions (000s) and Cartoon network 59779 impressions (000s) held fourth and fifth position respectively.

    NICK also lead with its show Motu Patlu Mission Moon with 950 Impressions (000s), while the same channel’s Motu Patlu in Wonderland (2013 – Animated) grabbed third place with 607 Impressions (000s).

    Chhota Bheem And Krishna In The Rise Of Kirmada (2012 – Animated) of POGO TV was at second position with 689 Impressions (000s) .  Hungama TV’s Doraemon The Movie: Ye Bhi Tha Nobita, Woh Bhi Tha Nobita (2014 – Animated) with 585 Impressions (000s) was in fourth position followed by Doraemon Movie: Galaxy Super Express (1996 – Animated) of Disney channel with 587 Impressions (000s).

    MUMBAI: According to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) ratings across 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB: 4+ individuals , AXN climbed up from second rank of week 14 to first position in week 15. Star World faced a major drop from last week, scored last position. While, Movies Now continued to top English movies. Discovery dominated infotainment space.

    English entertainment

    AXN hopped to first position with 248 Impressions  (000s), followed by Comedy Central with 180 Impressions (000s). Colors Infinity SD scored third position with 140 Impressions (000s). Zee Café with 101 Impressions  (000s) and star world with 77 Impressions  (000s) grabbed fourth and fifth position respectively.

    English movies

    Movies Now dominated with 2374 Impressions (000s). Star Movies held second position with 2374 Impressions  (000s). Sony Pix with 1930 Impressions  (000s) was third in the list. HBO with 1807 Impressions  (000s) grabbed fourth position, followed by Zee Studio at fifth with 1379 Impressions  (000s). 

    Infotainment

    The infotainment genre was once again topped by Discovery Channel with 4536 Impressions  (000s). History TV 18 maintained its second position from week 14, with 3804 Impressions (000s), followed by National Geographic with 3500 Impressions (000s). Animal Planet with 2840 Impressions (000s) and Nat Geo Wild with 1986 Impressions (000s) got fourth and fifth position respectively.
