    BARC week 17: Sony Max continued its lead across genres

    MUMBAI: Sony Max continued to lead across the genres while Sun TV secured second place, while free to air channel Rishtey exited the top ten list in week 17 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data.

    Sony Max garnered first position with 962992 Impressions (000’s) on the back of the ongoing Indian Premiere League. Sun TV, which has been the leader across the genres until the ninth season of IPL commenced, grabbed the second slot with  914047 Impressions (000’s) this week.

    Star Plus bagged the third position with 748672 Impressions (000’s) followed by Colors on number four with 722264 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV grabbed the fifth place with 576721 Impressions (000s).

    Sony Pal stood at number six with 550246 Impressions (000’s) followed by Life OK with 495250  Impressions (000’s) grabbed seventh slot and Star Utsav fell to number eight with 487336 Impressions (000’s).

    Zee Anmol  and Zee Telugu  garnered the ninth and tenth spots with 474977 Impressions (000s) and 443316 Impressions (000s) respectively.

    MUMBAI: Sony Max continued to lead across the genres while Sun TV secured second place, while free to air channel Rishtey exited the top ten list in week 17 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) All India data.

    Sony Max garnered first position with 962992 Impressions (000’s) on the back of the ongoing Indian Premiere League. Sun TV, which has been the leader across the genres until the ninth season of IPL commenced, grabbed the second slot with  914047 Impressions (000’s) this week.

    Star Plus bagged the third position with 748672 Impressions (000’s) followed by Colors on number four with 722264 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV grabbed the fifth place with 576721 Impressions (000s).

    Sony Pal stood at number six with 550246 Impressions (000’s) followed by Life OK with 495250  Impressions (000’s) grabbed seventh slot and Star Utsav fell to number eight with 487336 Impressions (000’s).

    Zee Anmol  and Zee Telugu  garnered the ninth and tenth spots with 474977 Impressions (000s) and 443316 Impressions (000s) respectively.

    MUMBAI: According to week 17 of BARC India rating, 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB: 4+ Individuals survey. English Entertainment saw a rise in its overall rating with AXN leading. The English movies space was topped by Star movies and Infotainment continued with Discovery as number one.

    English Entertainment

    AXN sustained its top position with a hike in its rating from 225 Impressions (000s) of week 16 to 343 Impressions (000s). Colors Infinity SD with 275 Impressions (000s) climbed up a position from last week, whereas Comedy Central dropped a position with 270 Impressions (000s).
    Star World with 124 Impressions (000s) grabbed fourth position, followed by Zee Café with 105 Impressions (000s).

    English Movies

    Star Movies held its first position with 4655 Impressions (000s) in English movies space, followed by Movies Now with 3456 Impressions (000s). Sony Pix secured third place with 2343 Impressions (000s). HBO got fourth position 1462 Impressions (000s). Zee Studio is at fifth position with 1285 Impressions (000s). 

    Infotainment

    The Infotainment genre was once again lead by Discovery with 4585 Impressions (000s), followed by History TV 18 with 4238 Impressions (000s). Nat Geo grabbed third position with 3733 Impressions (000s). Animal Planet with 3076 Impressions (000s) and Nat Geo Wild with 2184 Impressions (000s) were on fourth and fifth position respectively.

On the other hand, Sony’s The Kapil Sharma Show made its entry in top five programmes of Hindi GEC.

    Star Plus garnered the leadership position  with 692202 Impressions (000’s) and pushed down Colors to second slot with 679642 Impressions (000’s). 

    Sony Pal climbed up and replaced Zee TV at third spot with 548932 Impressions (000’s) while Zee TV secured fourth spot in the list with 533468 Impressions (000’s) followed by Star Utsav on fifth spot with 482952 Impressions (000s) and Life OK stood at number six with 478240 Impressions (000s). 

    Zee Anmol bagged the seventh  position with 474113 Impressions’ (000s) followed by Rishtey at number eight with 411338 Impressions (000s). 

    SPN’s Hindi GEC channels Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television, both witnessed a hike in ratings this week. Sab TV grabbed the ninth  with 359899 Impressions (000s) whereas Sony TV stood at tenth with 347921 Impressions (000s) against 278738 Impressions (000s) in previous week.

    The Kapil Sharma Show made its entry in top five programmes of Hindi GEC, while Colors’ Naagin continued to lead the list followed by Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kumkum Bhagya on Zee TV and Saath Nibhana Saathiya on fourth spot.

    MUMBAI: According to week 16 of  Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), HSM (U+R) : NCCS AB : Males 22+ Individuals ratings, CNBC TV 18 continued to hold on to its number one position in the English Business News space. Despite a drop in ratings, Times Now also clung to the pole position in the English News genre.  Like the previous week, India TV and CNBC Awaaz topped their respective genres in week 16.

    English News

    Times Now dominated the English News genre in week 16, but with a significant drop in ratings with 284 Impressions (000s), in comparison to 442 Impressions (000s) of week 15. CNN News 18 followed Times Now with 176 Impressions (000s). India Today Television ranked third with 136 Impressions (000s). NDTV 24×7 grabbed fourth position with 115 Impressions (000s) and News 9 was on fifth spot with 77 Impressions (000s).

    English Business News

    CNBC TV 18 continued to dominate the English Business News space with 121 Impressions (000s), ET now secured second position with 85 Impressions (000s). NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime was on third spot with 32 Impressions (000s) and Bloomberg TV was at fourth position with 9 Impressions (000s).

    Hindi News

    Not only did India TV continue its hold on the top spot with 70714 Impressions (000s),  it saw a growth in ratings when compared to 66780 Impression from week 15.

    Aaj Tak grabbed the second position with 62962 Impressions (000s). India News stood at third position with 38697 Impressions (000s), followed by ABP News with 38496 Impressions (000s) at the fourth spot.

    News Nation was at the fifth place with 35791 Im Ipressions (000s).

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz scored first position with 638 Impressions (000s), followed by Zee Business with 472 Impressions (000s).
