    MUMBAI: According to the week 20 of Chrome’s Opportunity to see (OTS) data, English Movies topped the loser’s list with 3. 5 per cent OTS in six metros; Movies Now witnessed a drop of 50.9 per cent OTS. English News followed the list with a drop of 1.5 per cent OTS; Lok Sabha TV saw lowest drop with 92.4 per cent OTS in six metros. 

    Hindi News was next on the loser’s list with a drop of 1.1 per cent OTS in Hindi Speaking Market (HSM); Hindi News in the genre saw a drop of 96.0 per cent OTS.

English News followed the list with a drop of 1.5 per cent OTS; Lok Sabha TV saw lowest drop with 92.4 per cent OTS in six metros. 

    Hindi News was next on the loser’s list with a drop of 1.1 per cent OTS in Hindi Speaking Market (HSM); Hindi News in the genre saw a drop of 96.0 per cent OTS.

    Nick back as number one kids channel : BARC Week 19

    MUMBAI: After a brief slip from the top position last week, Viacom 18’s Nick jumped back to leading the kids genre in week 19 as per  Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India’s all India (U+R) data in NCCS All 4-14 Individuals category. It jumped on the top spot with 89053 (000’s sums) viewership ratings leading the genre, which is a slight raise from last week’s 88475 Impressions (000’s).

    Nick was followed by Turner International’s Pogo TV in the second spot with 86107(000s sums) ratings, which has fallen from its top position last week with 95257 Impressions (000’s).

    Hungama moved up the list to take the third spot with 71677 impressions (000’s), followed by  Disney Channel in fourth spot after it bagged 66158 impressions (000’ sums). Cartoon Network took the fifth spot with 63751 impressions (000’s).

    When it came to the top five programs in the category, Nick’s Motu Patlu 36 Ghantey Race Against Time  dominated the airtimes with 959(000s sums), followed by Doraemon Movie: Galaxy Super Express on Hungama with 584 (000s sums) ratings.

    Disney Channel’s Doraemon: Movie Gadget Museum Ka Rahasya too did well for the network, and bagged 575(000s sums).making it the third most watched program in the kids genre.

    Nick’s Motu Patlu Kungfu King Returns was the fourth most watched show with 574(000s sums), and  Disney Channel Doraemon The Movie : Toofani Adventure  was the fifth most watched show with 566(000s sums).

    MUMBAI: According to week 19 of BARC India ratings, Times Now continued to top the English News genre with improved ratings. ET Now grabbed the top spot in English Business News yet again. In the Hindi News genre India TV continued at its number one position while CNBC Awaaz secured number one position this week also.

    English News

    Times now yet again dominated top position with improved rating of 378 Impressions (000s) as compared to 341 Impressions (000s) in week 18. India Today Television maintained its second spot with 160 Impressions (000s), as compared to 176 Impressions (000s) last week.

    NDTV 24×7 regained third spot with improved rating of 153 Impressions (000s), as compared to 132 Impressions (000s) in week 18.  CNN News 18 further dropped position and rating this week with 113 Impressions (000s). News 9 stood at fifth position with 92 Impressions (000s).

    English Business News

    ET Now grabbed top position but with a drop in rating, it garnered 100 Impressions (000s) as compared to 152 Impressions (000s). CNBC TV18 also saw a drop in rating  to less than half with 61 Impressions (000s) as compared to 129 Impressions (000s) last week and held second spot.

    NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime stood on same position as last week but with rise in rating, from 29 Impressions (000s) to 34 Impressions (000s) in week 19. Bloomberg was on last spot with 8 Impressions (000s).

    Hindi News

    India TV again topped the spot in its genre with 62387 Impressions (000s), followed by Aaj Tak with 58379 Impressions (000s) on second spot. ABP News garnered 35391 Impressions (000s) and took third position. India News repossessed its fourth spot with 30450 Impressions (000s) and News Nation dropped down to fifth position with 30136 Impressions (000s).

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz held top position with 553 Impressions (000s), followed by Zee Business with 377 Impressions (000s) on second spot.

    MUMBAI:  According to week 19 of BARC India rating, 6 Mega Cities: NCCS AB: 4+ Individuals, AXN continued to dominate the English entertainment space while Movies Now dominated the English movies genre.

    English Entertainment genre witnessed a mixed bag of ratings in this week while English movies space saw an increase in the viewership.

    The infotainment space was yet again topped by Discovery Channel.

    English Entertainment

    AXN stood at the number one position with an increase in its rating from 221 Impressions (000s) to 260 Impressions (000s) this week. Zee Cafe climbed up the ladder and grabbed the second berth with 221 Impressions (000s) followed by Comedy Central with 172 Impressions (000s) taking the third position.  

    Colors Infinity SD witnessed a decline in the ratings with 95 Impressions (000s) this week compared to 121 Impressions (000s) in week 18 taking the fourth position.  Star World with 78 Impressions (000s) took the fifth position.

    English Movies

    Movies Now sustained the number one position with 3160 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Movies with an increase in the ratings bagging the second position with 2870 compared to 2915 Impressions (000s) in week 18. Sony Pix with 1989Impressions (000s) took the third berth followed by HBO which grabbed the fourth place with 1671 Impressions (000s). Zee Studio bagged the fifth position with 1284 Impressions (000s). 

    Infotainment

    Discovery Channel dominated the space with 4593 Impressions (000s), followed by History TV 18 with 3967 Impressions (000s) on the second spot. 

    National Geographic Channel secured third spot with 3131 Impressions (000s). Animal Planet with 3085 Impressions (000s) and Nat Geo Wild with 2207 Impressions (000s) are on fourth and fifth positions respectively.

    MUMBAI: Channels run on their popularity and reach more than anything else, and BARC is the ladder to measure that. Week 19 of BARC rating has yet again delivered a game-changing data break-up by dividing ratings into rural and urban categories. 

    In week 19, Broadcasters’ free to air channel (FTA) have madetheir its presence in top five channels across Rural Hindi speaking market (HSM) where Zee Networks’ FTA Zee Anmol topped the chart. 

    Rural HSM Data 

    Zee Anmol garnered the first position with 397738 Impressions (000’s) followed by Sony Pictures Network’s free to air channel Sony Pal with 386861 Impressions (000’s) and Star India’s FTA channel Star Utsav with 355620 Impressions (000’s) stood at number three. 

    Zee Networks’ Hindi GEC channel Zee TV bagged the fourth spot with 283082 Impressions (000’s) while another FTA Rishtey grabbed fifth spot with 282625 Impressions (000’s). 

    Colors stood at sixth spot with 233354 Impressions (000’s) followed by Star Plus at number seven with 202257 Impressions (000’s) and Life OK at number eight with 170238 Impressions (000’s). 

    In rural data, Big Magic stood at number nine with 139427 Impressions (000’s) and Sab TV with 109515 Impressions (000’s) grabbed tenth spot. 

    Urban HSM data 

    On the other hand, in Urban HSM, Colors lead the Hindi general entertainment channel (GECs) with 431346 Impressions (000’s) followed by Star Plus with 413580 (000’s) on second slot and Zee TV with 311583 Impressions (000’s) at third place.

    Life OK, Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Channel bagged fourth, fifth and sixth position with 287442 Impressions (000’s), 241700 Impressions (000’s) and 207012 Impressions (000’s) respectively. 

    On the other hand, &TV made its entry in top ten channels across Urban HSM with 119686 Impressions (000’s) at number seven while Sony’s free to air channel Sony Pal grabbed eighth spot with 115399 (000’s) and Zee Anmol at ninth with 101704 Impressions (000’s).
