    MUMBAI: Comedy Central dominated the English Entertainment genre whereas Movies Now replaced Star Movies taking the number one position in the English Movies space.

    According to week 32 of BARC India rating, six Mega Cities : NCCS AB : 4+ Individuals, Colors Infinity SD re-entered in the top five English Entertainment genre player list in this week’s data.

    English Entertainment

    Comedy Central dominated the genre with 270 Impressions (000s) followed by Star World taking the second slot with 181 Impressions (000s). AXN grabbed the third berth with 153 Impressions (000s). 

    Zee Cafe with 148 Impressions (000s) took the fourth slot, whereas Colors Infinity SD re-entered was at the fifth position with 85 Impressions (000s).

    English Movies

    Movies Now toppled Star Movies with 3192 Impressions (000s) taking the number one place in the English movies genre. Star Movies grabbed the second berth with 2870 Impressions (000s). Sony Pix with 1682 Impressions (000s) secured the third slot. HBO with 1508 Impressions (000s) and Zee Studio with 1239 Impressions (000s) grabbed the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

    Comedy Central dominated the genre with 270 Impressions (000s) followed by Star World taking the second slot with 181 Impressions (000s). AXN grabbed the third berth with 153 Impressions (000s). 

    Zee Cafe with 148 Impressions (000s) took the fourth slot, whereas Colors Infinity SD re-entered was at the fifth position with 85 Impressions (000s).

    English Movies

    Movies Now toppled Star Movies with 3192 Impressions (000s) taking the number one place in the English movies genre. Star Movies grabbed the second berth with 2870 Impressions (000s). Sony Pix with 1682 Impressions (000s) secured the third slot. HBO with 1508 Impressions (000s) and Zee Studio with 1239 Impressions (000s) grabbed the fourth and fifth positions respectively.

    MUMBAI: In Urban + Rural Hindi speaking market (HSM) Star India’s both the channels Star Plus and Star Utsav grabbed the first two position in top ten Hindi GECs list whereas Zee TV pushed down to three and Colors bagged the fourth spot. 

    In rural HSM, Star Utsav continues to dominate the market and Star Plus again ruled the Urban HSM in week 32 as per the Broadcast Audience Research Council ( BARC) all India data

    Urban + Rural HSM

    With a rise in rating Star Plus continues to lead the Hindi general entertainment channel genre with 691536 Impressions (000) against 659591 Impressions (000s). Star Utsav replaced Zee TV on second position with 598686 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee TV on third spot with 586734 Impressions (000s). 

    Colors fell on number four with 586734 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee Anmol on fifth spot with 490427 Impressions (000s) and Life OK stood on sixth with 426878 Impressions (000s). 

    In week 32, Sony Pal stood at seventh with 395033 Impressions (000s) and SPN’s other channels Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television grabbed eight and ninth spot with 375475 Impressions (000s) and 352633 Impressions (000s) respectively. 
    Rishtey bagged the tenth spot with 262899 Impressions (000s).

    Rural HSM

    In week 32, Star Utsav maintained its leadership position with 4461095 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee Anmol  at second position with 369868 Impressions (000s) and Sony Pal on the third spot with 300109 Impressions (000s). Zee TV maintained its fourth position with 253205 Impressions (000s).

    Star Plus garnered fifth place with 216470 Impressions (000s)  and Rishtey bagged sixth spot with 194410 Impressions (000s) followed by Colors at number seven with 182605 Impressions (000s). Life Ok stood at eight with 154643 Impressions (000s) followed by Sony Entertainment Television at ninth place with 97182  impressions (000s) while  Big Magic stood tenth 95019 Impressions (000s).

    Urban HSM

    Star Plus garnered the pole  position with 475066 Impressions (000s) followed by Colors at second place with 403412 Impressions (000s) and Zee TV with 333529 Impressions (000s) stood at number three.

    Sab TV grabbed the fourth spot with 283193 Impressions (000s) followed by Life Ok at fifth with 272235 Impressions (000s) and Sony Entertainment Television with 255451 Impressions (000s).

    In urban HSM,  &TV maintained its number seven position with 158318 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Utsav with 137591 Impressions (000s) on eighth and Zee Anmol bagged ninth spot with 120560 Impressions (000s).  Sony Pal  bagged tenth spot with 94924 Impressions (000s).

Star Utsav replaced Zee TV on second position with 598686 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee TV on third spot with 586734 Impressions (000s). 

    Colors fell on number four with 586734 Impressions (000s) followed by Zee Anmol on fifth spot with 490427 Impressions (000s) and Life OK stood on sixth with 426878 Impressions (000s). 

    In week 32, Sony Pal stood at seventh with 395033 Impressions (000s) and SPN’s other channels Sab TV and Sony Entertainment Television grabbed eight and ninth spot with 375475 Impressions (000s) and 352633 Impressions (000s) respectively. 
    Rishtey bagged the tenth spot with 262899 Impressions (000s).

    In urban HSM,  &TV maintained its number seven position with 158318 Impressions (000s) followed by Star Utsav with 137591 Impressions (000s) on eighth and Zee Anmol bagged ninth spot with 120560 Impressions (000s).  Sony Pal  bagged tenth spot with 94924 Impressions (000s).

    MUMBAI: Zee News, which recently became a free to air channel, entered the top 5 player list in Hindi News space, according to week 32 of Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC). News Nation exited the Hindi news genre.

    The battle for the number one position in the English business news space continued this week with CNBC TV18 dominating the genre.

    The entire news industry observed mixed ratings according to this week’s data.

    English News

    Times Now with an increase in ratings continued to remain the undisputed leader with 524 Impressions (000s) this week as compared to 497 Impressions (000s) in week 31. NDTV 24×7 grabbed the second slot with decrease in ratings from 207 Impressions (000s) to 184 Impressions (000s) this week. India Today Television took the third berth with 178 Impressions (000s) followed by CNN News18 at the fourth position with 131 Impressions. BBC World News with 108 Impressions (000s) took the fifth position.

    English Business News

    CNBC TV18 replaced ET Now grabbing the number one position with 338 Impressions (000s). ET Now placed itself at the second spot with 231 Impressions (000s). NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime continued to be at the third position with 36 Impressions (000s). BTVi secured itself on the last spot with 16 Impressions (000s).

    Hindi News

    Aaj Tak despite a decrease in ratings sustained its number one position with 92984 Impressions (000s) followed by India TV which grabbed the second spot with an increase in ratings with 85921 Impressions (000s). India News garnered the third spot with 66641 Impressions (000s) while ABP News with 59199 Impressions (000s) was on fourth position. Zee News entered the tally at the fifth position with 54214 Impressions (000s).

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz maintained its first position with an increase in ratings from 1429 Impressions (000s) in the week before to 1145 Impressions (000s) in week 32. The second spot was taken by Zee Business with 675 Impressions (000s) in comparison.

    Urban + Rural HSM

    Even after witnessing a fall in ratings, Star Plus continued to lead the Hindi general entertainment channel genre with 659591 Impressions (000s) against 685886 Impressions (000s).  Zee TV too witnessed a fall in ratings but maintained its second position with 601034 Impressions (000s) against 611276 Impressions (000s) in the previous week, followed by Colors on third spot with 547974 Impressions (000s).

    Star India’s free to air channel Star Utsav grabbed the fourth position with 528083 Impressions (000s) and Zee Anmol to fifth place with 506040 Impressions (000s).

    Life OK stood at sixth with 423412 Impressions (000s) followed by Sony Pal at number seven with 385152 Impressions (000s) and Sony Entertainment Television at number eight with 357635 Impressions (000s). Sab TV on number nine with 341480 Impressions (000s) and Rishtey maintained its tenth spot with 277343 Impressions (000s).

    MUMBAI: The entire television news category witnessed an increase in ratings. According to week 31of Broadcast Association Research Council (BARC), ET Now went back to number one position replacing CNBC TV18 in English Business News genre.

    English News

    Times Now continued to dominate the genre with an increase in the ratings from 327 Impressions (000s) last week to 497 Impressions (000s) this week. NDTV 24×7 grabbed the second slot with 207 Impressions (000s) while CNN News18 took the third position with 190 Impressions. India Today Television with 163 Impressions (000s) and BBC World News with 95 Impressions (000s) took the fourth and fifth position respectively.

    English Business News

    ET Now toppled CNBC TV18 for the number one position with 252 Impressions (000s). CNBC TV18 placed itself at the second spot with 182 Impressions (000s). NDTV Profit and NDTV Prime continued to be at the third position with 35 Impressions (000s). Bloomberg TV, now revamped as BTVi, secured itself on last spot with 26 Impressions (000s).

    Aaj Tak with an increase in ratings sustained its number one position with 96552 Impressions (000s) as compared to 80653 Impressions (000s) in the previous week. India TV grabbed the second spot with 84207 Impressions (000s). ABP News garnered 61624 Impressions (000s) and was at third spot, while India News with 58174 Impressions (000s) was on fourth position. News Nation with a decrease in the ratings from 54120 Impressions (000s) was at fifth place

    Hindi Business News

    CNBC Awaaz maintained its first position with an increase in ratings from 911 Impressions (000s) in the week before to 1429  Impressions (000s) in week 31. The second spot was taken by Zee Business with 832 Impressions (000s) in comparison to 654 Impressions (000s) in week 29.
