    Aaj Tak dominates Hindi news genre in BARC week 26

    MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council data for week 26 saw some upheavals in the news genre. Mirror Now replaced NDTV24x7 in the English news genre while Republic TV continued to dominate the English news market. Aaj Tak led the chart in Hindi news markets.

    English news

    Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV retained its top position with 836 impressions (000s) sum compared to 902 impressions (000s) sum last week. Times Now found itself at the second spot with 807 impressions (000s) sum followed by India Today Television at the third position with 262 impressions (000s) sum compared to 278 impressions (000s) sum last week. Mirror Now replaced NDTV24x7 and gained fourth position with 194 impressions (000s) sum, whereas CNN News18 stepped down to fifth position with 185 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 161 impressions (000s) last week.

    English business news

    CNBC TV18 maintained the top spot with 527 impressions (000s) sum compared to 497 impressions (000s) sum last week, followed by ET Now with 176 impressions (000s) sum. BTVI and CNBC TV18 Prime HD were at third and fourth positions with 62 impressions (000s) sum and 21 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi news (U+R)

    Aaj Tak is at top position this week with 102385 impressions (000s) as compared to 95584 impressions (000s) sum. Zee News steps down to second position with 83627 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 98051 (000s) sum, followed by India TV at the third position with 80492 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 79222 impressions (000s) sum. News18 India and ABP News maintained their fourth position and fifth positions with 77714 impressions (000s) sum and 66737 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi news rural

    Aaj Tak retained its top position in Hindi news rural market with 40888 impressions (000s) sum. News Nation replaced Zee News at second position with 33054 impressions (000s) sum, followed by India TV at third position with 32197 impressions (000s) sum. News 18 India is at fourth position with 31043 impressions (000s) as compared to 26870 impressions (000s) sum last week. ABP News maintained its fifth position with 29749 impressions (000s) sum.

    Hindi news urban

    Aaj Tak led the genre with 61497 impressions (000s) sum compared to 54740 impressions (000s) sum last week. Zee News stepped down to second position with 55524 impressions (000s) sums compared to 62492 impressions (000s) sum. India TV and News 18 India maintained third and fourth positions with 48295 impressions (000s) sum and 46671 impressions (000s) sum. ABP News was at fifth spot with 36989 impressions (000s) sum compared to 37157 impressions (000s) sum last week.

    MUMBAI: Zee Anmol retained its leadership position in Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) data for week 26 of 2018 in the Hindi GEC (U+R) market. While Star Utsav and Rishtey swapped their third and fourth positions in the rural market,  all the top 10 channels retained their positions as compared to the previous week in the urban segment.

    Hindi GEC (U+R)

    Zee Anmol retained its first position with 719829 impressions (000s) sum. Zee TV, Star Bharat, Colors and Sony Pal stood at second, third, fourth and fifth positions with 582960 impressions (000s) sum, 565587 impressions (000s) sum, 564746 impressions (000s) sum and 540331 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Star Plus, Star Utsav and Rishtey stood at sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively with 502843 impressions (000s) sum, 479691 impressions (000s) sum and 456356 impressions (000s) sum.

    Sony Sab and Sony Entertainment Television retained their ninth and tenth positions with 367955 impressions (000s) sum and 344737 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi Rural GEC

    Zee Anmol and Sony Pal continued to dominate up top with 553113 impressions (000s) sum and 370361 impressions (000s) sum respectively. Star Utsav and Rishtey swapped their third and fourth positions with 329470 impressions (000s) sum and 323577 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Star Bharat, Zee TV Dangal TV, Big Magic Colors and Star Plus retained fifth and sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions with 286280 impressions (000s) sum, 228905 impressions (000s) sum, 204657 151025 impressions (000s) sum, 188589 impressions (000s) sum, 176472 impressions (000s) sum and 151025 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi Urban GEC

    In urban GEC this week there were no changes observed. All the top 10 channels retained their positions as compared to the previous week. Colors, Zee TV, Star Plus, Star Bharat, Sony Sab, Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol, Star Utsav and Rishtey retained their first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions with 388274 impressions (000s) sum, 354054 impressions (000s) sum, 351818impressions (000s) sum, 279306 impressions (000s) sum, 278589 impressions (000s) sum, 257894 impressions (000s) sum, 169971 impressions (000s) sum, 166716 impressions (000s) sum, 150221 impressions (000s) sum, and 132779 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi GEC most benefited genre in Chrome DM week 26

    MUMBAI: With a growth of 0.31 per cent as compared to last week (25), the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) genre marked the highest opportunity to see (OTS) among all categories in week 26 of Chrome Data Analytics & Media.

    In the Hindi GEC genre, DD National gained the highest OTS with 98.6 per cent in HSM excluding the less than 1L-market.

    This week, the lowest OTS being 0.02 per cent for the sports genre, top gainers saw only four participants.

    OTS is the actual census-based percentage connectivity of a channel spread across 81 million homes, reported by Chrome DM, across analogue cable, digital cable and DTH. 

    The second position in the gainer’s list of OTS was grabbed by the music genre with the growth of 0.13 per cent in HSM excluding the less than 1L-market. Sony Mix was the most benefitted channel in this category with 93.1 per cent.

    The third position in the gainers was garnered by Hindi movies genre in HSM excluding the less than 1L-market with 0.11 per cent OTS. Rishtey Cineplex gained the highest OTS with 94.0 per cent.

    The sports genre was at the fourth position in the list with 0.02 per cent growth and DD Sports catered to 92.0 per cent OTS in All India 1 Lakh+ market.

    Two Zeel channels top Hindi GECs in across genres list

    BENGALURU: Two Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) channels were ranked second and third in Broadcast Audience Research Council’s (BARC) weekly list of top 10 channels across genres in week 25 of 2018 (Saturday, 16 June 2018 to Friday, 22 June 2018, week under review). Zeel’s free to air (FTA) Hindi GEC Zee Anmol was ranked second and the network’s flagship Hindi GEC Zee TV was ranked second in across genres list for week 25 of 2018. The first rank in the list was held by the regular occupier of the slot – the Sun TV Network’s flagship Tamil GEC Sun TV.

    Five Hindi GECs, two channels each from the Hindi movies and Telugu genres and one channel from the Tamil genre made it to BARC’s weekly list of top 10 channels across genres during the week under review. From the networks’ perspective, there were three channels each from the Sony Pictures Network India (SPN) and Zeel stables, two channels from Star India and one channel each from the Sun TV Network and Viacom18.

    Sun TV held onto its last week’s rank of number one with 946.455 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to 929.515 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Further, Sun TV also was ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top five Tamil channels in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry markets and all the programmes in BARC’s weekly list of top five Tamil programmes in these markets during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week were aired on Sun TV.

    At second place was Zee Anmol with 747.590 million weekly impressions in week 25 of 2018 as compared to 774.331 million weekly impressions in the previous week. Zee Anmol was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in the combined urban and rural Hindi speaking markets or HSM (U+R) as also in HSM (R). The Balaji Telefilms-produced soap Kumkum Bhagya aired on Zee Anmol was ranked fourth in BARC’s list of top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (R). Another soap from the channel, Mahek, was ranked second in HSM (R).

    Climbing up two places to third rank was Zee TV with 606.439 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to fifth rank and 587.742 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Zee TV was ranked third in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R), second in HSM (U) and sixth in HSM (R). Two programmes that were aired on Zee TV- Kundali Bhagya, a spinoff of Kumkum Bhagya was ranked second and Kumkum Bhagya was ranked third in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U). Kundali Bhagya was also ranked fourth in HSM (R) in BARC’s list of top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    At fourth rank was SPN’s women-focused Hindi GEC Sony Pal with 601.848 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to third rank and 619.539 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Sony Pal was ranked second in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R) and was ranked seventh in HSM (U). The sitcom Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah aired on Sony Pal was ranked third in BARC’s list of top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (R).

    At fifth rank was SPN’s Hindi movies channel Sony Max with 597.083 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to 592.364 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Sony Max was also ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top five Hindi movies channels in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) and was ranked fifth in HSM (R). The Hindi feature film (HFF) Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that was aired on the channel was ranked fourth in BARC’s list of top five Hindi GEC programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R), while it was ranked second in HSM (U). Furthermore, the Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots was ranked the fifth most watched Hindi movies programme during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (R).

    Buoyed by the viewership of the third season of the Balaji Telefilms-produced Naagin and the dance show Dance Deewane was Viacom18’s flagship Hindi GEC Colors at sixth rank with 580.417 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to seventh rank and 553.387 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Colors was ranked fifth in BARC’s weekly list of top 10 Hindi GECs in HSM (U+R) and was ranked first in HSM (U). Naagin 3 and Dance Deewane found places in BARC’s weekly list of top five Hindi GECs during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U), while Naagin 3 was ranked fifth in HSM (R).

    At seventh place was Star India’s FTA Hindi GEC Star Bharat with 574.692 million weekly impressions in week 25 as compared to rank nine and 550.387 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Star Bharat was ranked fourth in BARC’s list of top 10 Hindi channels in HSM (U+R) and HSM (U) and was ranked fifth in HSM (R).

    Star India’s flagship Telugu GEC Star Maa was ranked eighth with 520.024 million weekly impressions as compared to sixth rank and 575.135 million weekly impressions in week 24 of 2018. Star Maa was ranked second in BARC’s weekly list of top five Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana market. Three programmes that were aired on Star Maa were present in BARC’s weekly list of top five Telugu programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    Zeel’s flagship Telugu GEC Zee Telugu re-entered BARC’s weekly list of top 10 channels across genre at ninth rank with 519.127 million weekly impressions in week 25 of 2018. Zee Telugu was ranked first in BARC’s weekly list of top five Telugu channels in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana market. Two programmes that were aired on Zee Telugu were present in BARC’s weekly list of top five Telugu programmes during primetime based on average rating across all airings (original and repeat) in the week.

    Another SPN Hindi movies channel Sony Wah completed BARC’s weekly list of top 10 channels across genres in week 25 of 2018 at tenth rank with 512.431 million weekly impressions as compared to eighth rank and 551.261 million weekly impressions in week 24. Sony Wah was ranked second and fifth in BARC’s weekly list of top five Hindi movies channels in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). HFF Sultan was ranked first in HSM (U+R) and HSM (R). Two more films that were aired on the channel – Yevadu 2 and Dangerous Khiladi 4 were ranked second and fifth respectively in HSM (R).

    MUMBAI: ZEEL’s regional channels Zee Bangla, Zee Marathi and Zee Telugu moved to number one position in their respective regions – Bengali, Marathi and Telugu after BARC released its ratings for week 25. After standing at the second position for week 24, Big Ganga has been able to retain its top position again this week. There wasn’t much change in the hierarchy for southern regions like Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil with Colors Kannada, Asianet and Sun TV retaining their top slots.

    Bangla

    Star Jalsha and Zee Bangla swapped their first and second positions with 263565 impressions (000s) and 265682 impressions (000s) respectively. Jalsha Movies, Colors Bangla and Aakash Aath retained their third, fourth and fifth positions this week with 58665 impressions (000s), 43899 impressions (000s) and 40911 impressions (000s) respectively. But this week, the ratings of all five channels have decreased as recorded last week.

    Bhojpuri

    This week Big Ganga became successful in grabbing the first slot with impressions 36847 impressions (000s) pushing back Bhojpuri Cinema to second position with 36515 impressions (000s) while Bhojpuri Dhamaka Dishum, Oscar Movies Bhojpuri, Mahuaa Plus retained their third, fourth and fifth slots with 4724 impressions (000s), 1914 impressions (000s) and 1847 impressions (000s) respectively.

    Marathi

    Zee Marathi continued to be placed in the numero uno spot garnering a gross viewership of 274720 impressions (000s) but saw n decrease in viewership as compared to last week i.e. 301882 impressions (000s). Zee Talkies and Colors Marathi exchanged their second and third positions with 116018 impressions (000s) and 125812 impressions (000s) respectively, followed by Star Pravah and Zee Yuva in fourth and fifth positions with 109095 impressions (000s) and 68382 impressions (000s).

    Kannada

    Kannada region didn’t see much change this week. Colors Kannada remained number one slot with 364105 impressions (000s), followed by Zee Kannada – 309056 impressions (000s), Udaya TV – 219418 impressions (000s), Udaya Movies – 185482 impressions (000s) and Star Suvarna – 157915 impressions (000s).

    Malayalam

    Malayalam market also remained unchanged this week. Asianet, the Malayalam channel of Star TV retained its number one position this week with 248254 impressions (000s), while Flowers TV crawled up to second position with 90499 impressions (000s). Mazhavil Manorama and Surya TV swapped their third and fourth positions with 80942 impressions (000s) and 87234 impressions (000s) respectively. This week, Asianet Movies ranked fifth dethroning Surya Movies with 68366 impressions (000s).

    Tamil

    Zee Tamil and  Star Vijay swapped their second and third positions this week with 389694 impressions (000s) and 470688 impressions (000s) respectively, while Sun TV and KTV held their first and fourth positions with 882668 impressions (000s) and 276071 impressions (000s). Colors Tamil retained its fifth position with 75826 impressions (000s) with an increase in viewership 60659 impressions (000s) as compared to last week.

    Telugu

    Zee Telugu climbed up a notch to be back at number one this week, garnering a gross viewership of 497232 impressions (000s), while Star Maa became second with 485332 impressions (000s). Gemini TV, ETV Telugu and Gemini Movies retained their respective third, fourth and fifth positions with 388841 impressions (000s), 385437 impressions (000s) and 178293 impressions (000s).

Arnab Goswami’s Republic TV continued to dominate the English news market while Zee News led the charts in two Hindi news markets. News 18 India replaced ABP News in rural segment.

    English news

    Republic TV retained its top position with 902 impressions (000s) sum compared to 901 impressions (000s) sum last week. Times Now found itself on the second spot with 769 impressions (000s) sum followed by India Today Television at the third position with 278 impressions (000s) sum compared to 270 impressions (000s) sum last week. CNN News 18 retained its fourth position with 161 impressions (000s) sum compared to 173 impressions (000s) in week 24. NDTV24x7 replaced Mirror Now in top five with 151 impressions (000s) sums this week.

    English business news

    CNBC TV18 maintained the top spot with 497 impressions (000s) sum compared to 517 impressions (000s) sum last week, followed by ET Now with 157 impressions (000s) sum. BTVI and CNBC TV18 Prime HD were at third and fourth positions with 87 impressions (000s) sum and 11 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi news (U+R)

    Zee News is at top position this week with 98051 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 86859 impressions(000s)sum. Aaj Tak steps down to second position with 95584 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 87682 impressions (000s) sum last week, followed by India TV at the third position with 79222 impressions (000s) sum as compared to 76557 impressions (000s) sum. News18 India and ABP News maintained their fourth position and fifth positions with 71661 impressions (000s) sum and 63956 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi news rural

    Aaj Tak retained its top position in Hindi news rural market with 40844 impressions (000s) sum. Zee news is at second position with 35559 impressions (000s) sum compared to 32075 impressions (000s) sum in last week, followed by India TV steps down to third position with 33000 impressions (000s) sum.

    News Nation captured fourth position with 30241 impressions (000s) sum compared to 31438 impressions (000s) last week. News 18 India replaced ABP news at the fifth position with 26870 impressions (000s) sum.

    Hindi news urban

    Zee News led the genre with 62492 impressions (000s) sum compared to 54785 impressions (000s) sum last week, followed by Aaj Tak at second position with 54740 impressions (000s) sum. India TV and News 18 India are at third and fourth positions after interchanging slots with 46222 impressions (000s) sum and 44791 impressions (000s) sum respectively. ABP News is at fifth spot with 37157 impressions (000s) sum.

While  Rishtey and Star Utsav swapped their third and fourth positions in the rural market,  Zee TV and Star Plus exchanged second and third positions in the urban segment.

    Hindi GEC (U+R)

    Zee Anmol, Sony Pal, Zee TV, Star Bharat and Colors retained their first, second, third, fourth and fifth positions with with 745706 impressions (000s) sum, 599068 impressions (000s) sum, 572708 impressions (000s) sum, 568791 impressions (000s) sum and 556889 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Star Utsav and Rishtey and Star Plus stood at sixth, seventh and eighth positions respectively with 491102 impressions (000s) sum, 487121 impressions (000s) sum and 462775 impressions (000s) sum.

    Sony Sab and Sony Entertainment Television retained their ninth and tenth positions with 355389 impressions (000s) sum and 312771 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi Rural GEC

    Zee Anmol and Sony Pal continued to dominate up top with 570351 impressions (000s) sum and 419831 impressions (000s) sum respectively. Rishtey and Star Utsav swapped their third and fourth positions with 349403 impressions (000s) sum and 342804 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Star Bharat, Zee TV Dangal TV, Big Magic Colors and Star Plus retained fifth, sixth, seventh, eight, ninth and tenth positions with 279594 impressions (000s) sum, 211475 impressions (000s) sum, 291958, 210536 impressions (000s) sum, 170893 impressions (000s) sum,136029 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Hindi Urban GEC

    In urban GEC, Colors retained first position this week with 385996 impressions (000s) sum. Zee TV and Star Plus exchanged second and third positions respectively with 350607 impressions (000s) sum and 326745 impressions (000s) sum.

    Star Bharat and Sony Sab swapped their fourth and fifth positions with 276834 impressions (000s) sum, 274347 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    Sony Entertainment Television, Sony Pal, Zee Anmol, Star Utsav and Rishtey retained their sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth positions with  240238 impressions (000s) sum and 179237 impressions (000s) sum, 175355 impressions (000s) sum,148298 impressions (000s) sum and137718 impressions (000s) sum respectively.

    MUMBAI: With a growth of 3.31 per cent as compared to last week (24), the business news genre marked the highest opportunity to see (OTS) among all categories in week 25 of Chrome Data Analytics & Media. 

    In the business genre, Zee Business gained the highest OTS with 86.2 per cent in six metros.

    OTS is the actual census-based percentage connectivity of a channel spread across 81 million homes, as reported by Chrome DM, across analogue cable, digital cable and DTH. 

    The second position in the gainer’s list of OTS was grabbed by the English news genre with a growth of 2.68 per cent in six metros. Loksabha TV was the most benefitted channel in this category with 95 per cent.

    The third position in the gainers was garnered by English general entertainment channels (GEC) genre with a growth rate of 2.52 per cent in six metros. AXN gained the highest OTS with 61.3 per cent.

    The sports genre was at the fourth position in the list with 1.20 per cent growth and DD Sports catered to 93.2 per cent OTS in all India 1 lakh+ market.

    The fifth position in gainers list was bagged by the kids’ genre with a growth of 0.99 per cent. In this category, Nickelodeon topped the OTS chart with 90.4 per cent in all India 1 lakh+ market.

    History TV18, Fyi TV18 to get dedicated Tamil channels

    MUMBAI: A+E networks’ infotainment and lifestyle channels, History TV18 and Fyi TV18, are all set to make the most of the Tamil market. Both entities are now making a switch from using Tamil audio feeds to being full-fledged channels.

    The network has started a test transmission service on Intelsat20 satellite at 68.5 degree east. Both the Tamil channels will be paid channels.

    The Tamil language is a strategic market with its high TV penetration and viewership. Indiantelevision.com tried reaching out to the company’s representatives, but they chose not to comment on the same.

    History TV18 appears to have some interesting plans to woo the Indian audiences with localised content. The channel released a documentary named Special Operations India: Pathankot on 25 June. The two previous installements of the Special Operations India series included Surgical Strikes and Myanmar.

    Fyi TV18 had earlier launched a show for kids named Best Cake Wins and a cooking show called Love at First Bite.

    According to BARC data for week 24, History TV18 managed to garner third position with 2994 impressions (000s) sum, with Sony BBC Earth on top and Discovery channel at the second position. Whereas, Fyi TV18 secured second position with 946 impressions (000s) sum with Living Foodz channel being on the top.

    MUMBAI: Colors Tamil, the newly launched Tamil regional channel of Viacom 18, was the new entrant in the Tamil market after BARC released its rating for week 24. Star Maa, a Telugu channel of Star TV, topped the charts, with Big Ganga settling for second position. There wasn’t much change in the hierarchy for other regions like Bengali, Marathi and Kannada, with Star Jalsha, Zee Marathi and Colors Kannada retaining their top slots.

    Bangla

    The Bengali region didn’t see any change in week 24. Star Jalsha and Zee Bangla maintained their first and second positions with 269956 impressions (000s) and 264219 impressions (000s) respectively. Following them were Jalsha Movies, Colors Bangla and Aakash Aath in third, fourth and fifth positions this week with 59799 (000s), 50104 (000s) and 47682 (000s) impressions respectively.

    Bhojpuri

    The Bhojpuri region saw a slight change this week as Big Ganga and Bhojpuri Cinema swapped their first and second slots with 36089 impressions (000s) and 36359 impressions (000s) respectively, while Bhojpuri Dhamaka Dishum remained in the third position with 4459 impressions (000s). While Mahuaa Plus maintained its fifth position with 1638 impressions (000s), Oscar Movies Bhojpuri came in as a new entrant in fourth position dethroning News18 Bihar Jharkhand with 1509 (000s) impressions.

    Marathi

    Zee Marathi remained steadfast at number one this week as well, garnering a gross viewership with 301882 impressions (000s) with an increase in viewership as compared to last week i.e. 299493 (000s). Zee Talkies and Colors Marathi exchanged their second and third positions with 116018 impressions (000s) and 125812 impressions (000s) respectively, followed by Star Pravah and Zee Yuva in fourth and fifth positions with 109095 impressions (000s) and 68382 impressions (000s).

    Kannada

    Like Bengal, the Kannada region too didn’t witness any changes, as all channels maintained their positions as last week. Colors Kannada remained number one with 387781 impressions (000s), followed by Zee Kannada – 291346 impressions (000s), Udaya TV – 194925 impressions (000s), Udaya Movies – 193476 impressions (000s) and Star Suvarna – 163032 impressions (000s).

    Malayalam

    Asianet retained its number one position this week with 248254 impressions (000s). Mazhavil Manorama and Surya TV were third and fourth positions with 92725 impressions (000s) and 87580 impressions (000s) respectively, with Flowers TV moving up to second slot from fourth with 101060 impressions (000s). Surya TV and Flowers TV were down to the third and fourth spots with 92878 impressions (000s) and 90798 impressions (000s) respectively. This week, Surya Movies ranked fifth with 69901 impressions (000s).

    Tamil

    Zee Tamil and  Star Vijay retained their second and third positions this week with 383105 impressions (000s) and 368940 impressions (000s) respectively, while Sun TV and KTV held their first and fourth positions with 871111 impressions (000s) and 265648 impressions (000s). Colors Tamil came as the new entrant in fifth position, taking the place of Polimer TV with 60659 impressions (000s).

    Telugu

    This week, Zee Telugu and Star Maa swapped their first and second positions with 466347 impressions (000s) and 531288 impressions (000s) respectively. Gemini TV crawled up to third position with 384785 impressions (000s), while ETV Telugu dropped down to fourth slot with 369923 impressions (000s). Gemini Movies maintained its fifth place with 175804 impressions (000s).
