    Mumbai: Colors Marathi has announced the fifth season of its music-based reality show Sur Nava Dhyas Nava – Parva Ganyache Marathi Banyache on 24 July starting at 7 p.m. Post the premiere, the show will air every weekend at 9:30 p.m.  

    Produced by Ekvira Productions, the show will feature Mahesh Kale and Avdhoot Gupte as judges along with host Spruha Joshi.

    The channel has roped in Punyache Mahabringraj Tel and Vicco Turmeric as ‘powered by’ sponsors. Chandukaka Saraf & Sons, Anuroop Wiwah Sanstha, Todkar Sanjeevani Nisargopchar Kendra and Kesar Tours have come on board as special partners for the latest season of the show.

    Mumbai: Rainshine Entertainment on Thursday announced the launch of a Tamil original show, Meme Boys, with the aim of strengthening its presence in the Tamil regional market. The new show will be exclusively available on SonyLIV from 22 July, 2022.

    The show will be a hilarious eight-episode series starring Guru Somasundaram of Minnai Murali fame and Aadhitya Baaskar of 96 fame. Produced by Rainshine Studios (formerly CM Studios), created by Rajiv Rajaram & Drishya, directed by Arun Koushik and A. Gokul Krishna, the show will revolve around a college and its playful students who make viral memes on an anonymous social media page to tackle their authoritative dean!     Mumbai: Bhojpuri GEC ZEE Ganga added a new milestone in its journey by achieving 125 per cent slot growth, alongside 39 per cent in TSV and 41  per cent in reach (BARC, B&J, CS2+, AMA000’s, Mon to Fri, 1900-2100hrs, Wk ’14-25′ 22), in its original content prime-time viewership this year. 

    The rare yet amazing feat is now the channel’s crowning glory, as it moves ahead with renewed vigor to continue its success story.

    Mumbai: To entertain its audience Colors Bangla is all set to double up the entertainment quotient. Colors Bangla announced the blockbuster premiere of “Special Partner Dear Lotteries” starting this month followed by a double on Colors Bangla Cinema for the next six months. 

    The cine special will be a bouquet of entertaining movies with superstars like Jeet, Ankush Hazra, Subhashree, Soham, Srabanti. With films from across genres including action, romance, drama, the specially curated line-up will offer something to satiate the entertainment needs of every cinephile.

    Mumbai: Disney Star’s latest regional TV channel Pravah Picture, launched in May, is already setting records in the Marathi movie genre. The channel telecast the world television premiere (WTP) of period drama action film “Pawankhind” directed by Digpal Lanjekar on 19 June.

    As per data by Broadcast Audience Research Council (Barc) India, 5.1 million viewers from the Maharashtra and Goa market tuned in to watch the premiere broadcast on the channel.

    The movie set the record for being the highest rated WTP in the last seven years on any Marathi movie channel, according to Barc data for Week 41 2015 till Week 25 2022.

    Pravah Picture plans to air a new WTP every Sunday to strengthen the brand and garner higher viewership. It has released the promo for its upcoming WTP to be televised on 10 July called “Stepney” featuring comedian Bharat Jadhav. It will be followed by the premiere telecast of “Bali” on 17 July. The channel also plans to air blockbuster movie “Chandramukhi” and soon to be released “Ananya”.

    Produced by Almond Creations in Association with AA Films, “Pawankhind” is the third movie in an eight-movie series on the Maratha empire. It stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Prajakta Mali, Ajay Purkar, Harish Dudhade, Ankit Mohan, Sameer Dharmadhikari, Rishi Saxena and Shivraj Waichal.

    The film depicts the historical rear guard last stand that took place on 13 July 1660 at a mountain pass in the vicinity of fort Vishalgad, near the city of Kolhapur, Maharashtra, India between the Maratha warrior Baji Prabhu Deshpande and Siddi Masud of Adilshah Sultanate, known as Battle of Pawan Khind.

    Mumbai: Entertainment channel Colors Tamil has announced the world television premiere of “RK Nagar” on 3 July at 2:00 pm. An entertaining tale set in a world of crime is here to grapple audiences by exploring plots around politics, romance, and buckets of drama and humour.

    Directed by Saravana Rajan, the 2019 film features Vaibhav and Sana Althaf in the lead roles while Anjena Kirti, Sampath Raj, Inigo Prabhakaran form the stellar ensemble cast. The synopsis revolves around a man who struggles to make ends meet and his life takes a turn for the better when he falls head over heels with a politician’s daughter. However, his happiness is short lived when he gets entangled in a murder case.

    Introduced through a dream sequence, Shankar (Vaibhav) imagines living a luxurious life, however he holds no regard for the rich, believing the rich only get richer and the poor remain the same. However, fortune favours him when Ranjini (Sana Altaf) sees him chasing some goons and gets impressed thinking that he shares the same ideology as her of disliking goons. As their relationship progresses, two rivals Vishwanathan aka Lottai (Sampath Raj) and Manoj aka Mannu (Inigo Prabhakaran) parallely get into a rift, ensuing in a murder of a high-profile individual at Shankar’s tailor shop for which he gets framed. How he manages to prove himself innocent forms the rest of the plot.

    Mumbai: Exploring marital values, familial bonds and sibling relationships, Colors Tamil, is all set to premiere Pachakili, a brand-new fiction show, starting 4 July. 

    Based on the life of a naive village belle Pachakili (played by Actor Monisha Arshak) and Adithya (played by Actor Kishore), the show focuses on how the two individuals come together under one roof despite their contrary ideologies on family and marriages. 

    Pachakili is a smart and charming woman, the apple of the eye of her three brothers – Meenakshi Sundaram (played by Actor Stalin Muthu), Azhagar (Vijay Anand) and Velu (Actor Ashwin). Having lived a loving and pampered life, she values her relationships and is willing to go to any length to protect them. However, her life takes a turn when she comes across a well-known lawyer Adithya who doesn’t value familial ties nor nuptial bonds. He is infamous for taking up divorce cases, owing to his own dysfunctional family. Unveiling a saga of love with the notion that every marital union has a reason, Pachakili will enthral audiences with hilarious fallouts that ensue when two opposite people meet.
