    Mumbai: Regional GEC, ZEE Kannada has announced the launch of its new show ‘Hitler Kalyana’. Premiering 9 August, the show will air every Monday to Friday at 7 pm only on ZEE Kannada and ZEE Kannada HD.

    ‘Hitler Kalyana’ is the story of three daughters-in-law who set out in search of a suitable bride for their father-in-law Ram and each, for her own vested interests, gets him married to Leela. The lead characters Ram and Leela appear as chalk and cheese, and yet commence a relationship together, thus unfolding the story, a statement said.

    “There are many in life who are quick to point our weaknesses and curb our confidence by saying ‘Nīvu adannu māḍalu sādhyavilla’. Hitler Kalyana’s feel-good story will make you realize that not everything needs to be perfect in order to make things work,” said ZEE Kannada and ZEE Picchar business head, Raghavendra Hunsur. “The story will follow the journey of a girl who has been doubted her entire life but doesn’t lose her optimism. Through her innocent and earnest attempts, she displays a never-say-die spirit that is truly endearing. The story is entertaining and motivating all at once,” Hunsur added.

    Colors Tamil announces new comedy show with Robo Shankar

    Mumbai: Regional GEC Colors Tamil, on Wednesday, announced the launch of a new spoof comedy, ‘Kanni Theevu Ullasa Ulagam 2.0’. The one-hour show premieres on 1 August, Sunday, at 7 pm.

    Spread across four segments, ‘Kanni Theevu Ullasa Ulagam 2.0’ features actor-comedian Robo Shankar as King Jalsanandha, and other popular television artists including Madhumita, and Shakeela. The story unfolds through various rib-tickling incidents that happen in the king’s cast away island. Joining the comedy club every Sunday will be ‘All Access Rajaguru’ essayed by Dindugal Saravanan, comedy duo Mullai and Gothandam as R&D scientists of the island, and Amuthavanan who performs skits to keep the king entertained. Varalalaxmi Sarathkumar will be seen as a guest on the island during the launch episode.

    New Delhi: ZEE Biskope has announced the winners of Season 2 of the Talent Camera Action that started off as a category-first virtual talent hunt on the occasion of Camera Day last year.

    Over 22,000 entries were received from across the region and beyond, where viewers shared their talent videos in the run to make their way to the Bhojpuri movie industry. According to the channel, each of the participants exuberated abundance of talent and the jury had a tough time selecting the best among the best. “Because of the humongous response, we decided to gratify more participants and showcased selected videos on ZEE Biskope on two consecutive weekends – 18 July & 25 July between 12 noon- 6 pm,” it said in a statement.  

    Action Star Yash Kumar & Nidhi Jha announced the names of the Winners who won a ticket to Bhojiwood on Sunday, 25 July.

    ·         Ranjeet Kumar: A trained classical singer from Katihar, Bihar, Ranjeet aspires to be a professional singer who could mesmerize the world with his melodious voice. He impressed the jury with his rendition of Pawan Singh’s ‘Basanti Bahar Bahal Sarso Phulail’.

    ·         Pragalbh Ojha: An actor at heart residing in Gaya, Bihar, Pragalbh has pruned his acting skills from Institute of Creative Excellence by Balaji Telifilms Ltd in Mumbai. His monologue on an emotional outburst of a gangster to his mother expressed his appreciable skills in acting.

    ·         Aakashdeep Sharma: A dancer from Mangolpuri, Delhi, Aakashdeepis a trained dancer, choreographer and an instructor in a dance academy in Delhi. He rendered his groovy moves on Matargashti from the film Tamasha.

    ·         Binita Singh: Hailing from Bhojpur, Bihar, Binita is an aspiring actor who found Talent Camera Action Season 2 as the platform to reach out her acting skills to the Bhojpuri audience. She performed a monologue on a commoner’s outrage on the powerful political section. 

    ·         Pragya Mishra: A singer from Ghazipur, UP, Pragya is trained in Indian Classical music and has many accolades to her credit in competitions like Akhil Bharatiya Sangeet Pratiyogeeta& Uttar Pradesh Sangeet NaatakAcaademy. She has performed on ‘Koel bin bagiyanasobhe Raja’ – a melodious number of Sharda Sinha.

    Mumbai: Colors Odia, the regional entertainment channel from the house of Viacom 18, on Monday announced the launch of its new show Raajnandini. The women-centric drama will air every day at 6 pm and 10 pm, starting 26 July.

    Raajnandini is the story of two daughters-in-law Ahalya and Meera who are polar opposites. While Ahalya is the ideal daughter-in-law, the plot revolves around the life and struggles of Meera who, with all her flaws, takes on the responsibility of saving her family from ruin when the situation arises.

    The movie features actors Manan Tiwari, Kalpana Shah and Nisha Singh in the lead roles.

    The story revolves around Sagar and his lady love Ganga with whom he can’t get married because Sagar’s birth was a blessing from Baba Bhairavnath on the condition that he will die the day he gets married. Sagar also happens to be the rebirth of a Naag killed by Baba Bhairavnath in his quest for capturing the Naagin which Bhairavnath later failed to. Ganga happens to be a devotee of the same Naagin. The story involves a lot of dramatic sequences as the truth unfolds in the end. The movie is part of this month’s theme of divine intervention and symbolism around the festival of Saawan.

    Some other interesting shows included Power Meal – a non-political capsule on the campaigners’ diet during the campaign spree, which provided a break to the viewers from the otherwise politically saturated news wheel. There was also MukhoMukhi – a show which entailed a series of face-offs and exclusive interviews with political titans.  AayByay – A special capsule on the declared property of heavy weights, and NiyomNasti– an irregular segmenton ‘rules being broken’by political partiesduring campaigns.

    Additionally, ABP Ananda conducted Opinion Polls and Exit Polls to gauge the electoral pulse of the voters, besides an edge-of-the-seat Live counting of ballots on Results Day.     In fact, the pulse-pounding election coverage of ABP Ananda’s YouTube channel clocked over seven million views. The view count was recorded till 7 March, according to Pepper Media—YouTube. In addition to this, there were OOH Campaigns with 200 Impact sites spread across key locations in Kolkata & ROB for over a month; along with print ads in AnandabazarPatrika on key election days. There were also BTL Activations such as branded Innova with the news channel logo, covering 20+ locations across West Bengal for channel promotions.

    As a testimonial of ABP Ananda’s high-intensity reporting from the remotest parts of the state an umbrella Campaign TVC was launched– Phase II BANGLAR KHABOR. BANGLA THEKE (News of Bengal. From Bengal). This was a brand film with real locations, shot across 20+ places over eight districts of West Bengal – highlighting issues about that particular area. It underscored how the channel brought in real news for the viewers despite hurdles amidst myriad challenges. It garnered over 6.38 lakh views on YouTube.

    Mumbai: Tamil Nadu’s youngest GEC, Colors Tamil, on Wednesday announced the launch of its much-anticipated fiction show, “Abhi Tailor”, starting from 19 July. The channel strengthens its primetime line-up with the launch of this new show.

    The show, produced by Media Mogul, is set to bring to life the stories and struggles of small-time women entrepreneurs. It follows the story of a young, vibrant Abirami (essayed by Reshma Muralidharan), a small-town tailor. Responsible for an alcoholic father Sundaramoorthy (Badava Gopi) and sibling Anandhi (Jayashri), Abhi’s life is devoted to building her small shop. Life takes an unexpected turn as a corporate honcho, Ashok (Madhan Pandian) sets foot into the town with a factory and soon comes head to head in battle with Abhi. The story is set to further discover a trail of drama and love between Abhi and Ashok.
