    Zee Marathi marks its 22nd anniversary with 7 new shows

    Mumbai: Zee Marathi has announced seven new shows to mark its 22nd anniversary. The regional channel has also unveiled its new look as part of its latest brand positioning. The tagline says – ‘Navya natyanchya bandhu gaathi.. Mi Marathi, Zee Marathi’, reflecting the new beginning of a stronger relationship with the viewers.

    The latest promo promises that the new offerings will be in sync with the channel’s progressive identity. “This new Zee Marathi will not only enthrall the viewers with its variety of emotions, but also give them a new perspective on relationship and life through its new offerings,” the channel said in a statement.

    Among the seven new shows are ‘Man Zal Bajinda’, ‘Man Udu Udu Zal’, ‘Mazi Tuzi Reshimgath’, ‘Tuzya Mazya Sansarala Ani Kay Hava’, ‘Ti Parat Aliye’ which are set to launch this August. The channel will also present new episodes of its popular show – ‘Ratris Khel Chale 3’ and ‘Ghetla Vasa Taku Nako’. Iconic stars from the Maharashtra region including Shreyas Talpade, Prarthana Behere, Vijay Kadam, Hruta Durgule, Hardik Joshi and many more have been roped in by Zee Marathi to keep viewers entertained.

    Mumbai: Elections in Punjab in early 2022 will be a multi-cornered and high octane electoral battle with all the major political parties in the state going all out to win the mandate to govern for the next five years.

    News18 PHH has announced its plan to bring an exhaustive and comprehensive coverage of these elections branded – ‘Akhada 2022’ – which will include a variety of shows, debate and discussions and will bring together top newsmakers from across the leading political parties. Supported by a team of experienced anchors, on-ground reporters and eminent experts, News18 PHH plans to offer viewers a wide coverage of these crucial state elections.

    The channel’s coverage of the elections will launch on Independence Day, 15 August with a three-hour special called Akhada 2022.     COLORS Bangla bolsters programming line-up with five new shows

    Mumbai: COLORS Bangla has just announced a line-up of five new shows including a musical reality show and four fictional dramas all of which will premier in the months of August and September.

    The channel has roped prominent producers like Nispal Singh Rane from Surinder Films, Snehasish Chakraborty from lues Production, and Shashi Sumeet who has done more than 40 shows nationwide to produce the upcoming shows. The non-fiction show will be produced by Raj Chakraborty, who was behind the launch of various non-fiction shows in the Bangla television industry. Jeet Ganguly and Anupam Roy are composing the title tracks for the shows.

    The new content line-up also marks the return of stalwarts like Papia Adhikari, Debolina Dutta, Anjana Basu, Sudipa Basu back to the small screen, said the channel on Thursday. 

    Speaking on the launch of COLORS Bangla, business head, Sagnik Ghosh said, “We are set for the launch of the first tranche of our content line up. Through our characters and stories, we want to alleviate the anxiety and adversities that the Bengali society and our core viewers are facing today.     The upcoming content line-up includes:

    MOU ER BARI is the story is about the life and struggles of a woman who marries into a new family but gets her own parents to live under the same roof. Her husband is her support in her endeavours and helps her achieve everything that she ever wants. The show produced by Surinder Films will go on air from 30 August every day at 6.30 p.m.

    TEEN SHAKTIR AADHAR – TRISHUL is the story of three sisters, Tara, Durga and Kali hailing from a poor, village based weaving family. Affluent and powerful, Rajnandini is a fashion tycoon renowned worldwide. Circumstances bring the three sisters and Rajnandini face to face, and the sisters seek to avenge the humiliation meted out to them by Rajnandini. The show has been produced by Snehasish Chakraborty, and will go on air from 30 August every day at 7.00 p.m.

    MON MANE NA is a classic rugged love story between two diametrically opposite characters. This is the story of the love and hate relationship of Rudra, an uneducated and rowdy villager and Gauri, an educated woman who values principles above anything else. The show will be produced by Surinder Films, and will go on air from 30 August every day at 7.30 p.m.

    DUTTA AND BOUMA is an unusual love story where the role of daughter-in -law takes precedence over that of a wife. Can a daughter-in-law take charge of the family business? The story is set in a traditional Jewelry business family. The story will be produced by Shashi Sumeet production. The show will go on air from 30 August every day at 8.00 p.m.

    SANGEET ER MOHAJUDDHO is an epic saga of a musical battle to be hosted by Mir. The show produced by Raj Chakroborty, will have the best of talent- come together on one platform and fight for the crown. The show will be judged by the best names from the industry including Ustad Rashid Khan, Lopamudra Mitra, Jeet Gannguli and Abhijeet Bhattacharya. The show will go on air from 4 September every Saturday and Sunday at 8.30 p.m.

    The launch will be supported by a 360-degree marketing and communication campaign encompassing TV, cable, on-ground, radio, outdoor as well as digital platforms, and the channel is also planning for a fresh identity on the day of the launch.

    New Delhi: Viacom18 on Wednesday announced the appointment of Viraj Raje as head of programming for Colors Marathi. He will be responsible for managing the channel’s content strategy and creative framework.

    Raje comes with over 25 years of experience in the industry, having led creative teams across Marathi television and films. Prior to joining Colors Marathi, he has worked with Disney+Star India, Reliance – Big Productions, and as a freelance film director, wherein he revolutionised Marathi entertainment by creating novel and engaging content, said the channel in a statement.

    Welcoming Raje on board, Viacom18, head – regional entertainment (Kannada and Marathi clusters), Ravish Kumar said, “Marathi entertainment, especially on television, caters to audiences with extremely varied preferences – connecting viewers in both urban metros as well as rural parts of the state.     Mumbai: Bihar, amongst India’s most flood prone state reels under the havoc caused by floods every year. Over the years many lives, livestock and hundreds of crores of properties has been lost.

    News 18 Bihar/Jharkhand has launched a special campaign to lend a helping hand to the people of the state during this trying time. This special month-long initiative ‘Baadh Mein Aap key Saath’ will attempt to address the challenges that people face this time and also help people requiring assistance during the floods.

    The channel will run extensive content in the form of bulletins, debates and special shows focused on key issues such as ways and means of protecting one’s home & livestock, on taking care of one’s health and precautions to be taken to protect oneself from drowning.     Mumbai: IN10 Media Network-backed Bhojpuri film channel Filamchi is all set to entertain its viewers with 50 world television premieres starting 14 August.

    In the next three months, the channel will showcase blockbuster Bhojpuri films featuring popular actors. The titles include Baaghi Ek Yoddha, Lallu ki Laila, Pawan Putra featuring Khesari Lal Yadav, Dinesh Lal Yadav ‘Nirahua’, and Pawan Singh, respectively. 

    The channel said its go-to-market strategy is to serve the large appetite for films that exist within the Bhojpuri audience and that all the titles were handpicked for the viewers.

    Mumbai: This Independence Day, Bhojpuri channel ZEE Biskope pays homage to the brave soldiers with the launch of ‘Bharat Ke Shaan Bhojpuriya Jawaan’ – a film festival especially curated to showcase and honour the strength of the Bhojpuriya soldiers. The festival will be unveiled on 15 August from 9 am to 9 pm with a film line-up that features the biggest superstars from the region.

    Mumbai: Regional GEC Colors Tamil is all set for the world television premiere of ‘Annmariya’ and ‘Rajavukku Check’ on 8 August at 1:30 pm and 4 pm. The upcoming premiere is a part of the channel’s popular Sunday Cine Combo programming.

    ‘Annmariya’, a 2016 film directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, features Sara Arjun, Sunny Wayne, and Aju Varghese in lead roles. Dubbed in Tamil, it narrates the story of the 10-year-old Annmariya (played by Sara Arjun) and her friendship with a con-artist Girish (played by Sunny Wayne) who is hired to teach her PT master a lesson. The story unfolds through the impact they have on each other’s lives. Dulquer Salmaan also makes a cameo appearance in the film.

    ‘Rajavukku Check’ is an edge-of-the-seat thriller directed by Sai Rajakumar. The revenge drama revolves around a policeman and four criminals who kidnap the former’s daughter out of vengeance for putting them in prison. The quest of the policeman to rescue his daughter forms the central narrative. The cast includes Cheran, Irfan in lead roles with Srushti Dange, Sarayu Mohan, and Nandhana Varma as supporting characters.

    Mumbai: Proudly continuing to be the torchbearer of Marathi culture, ZEE Marathi with its new philosophy – ‘Navya natyanchya bandhu gathi, me Marathi Zee Marathi’ is all set to introduce new offerings in the month of August. As a part of its upcoming content line-up, the regional GEC has announced ‘Majhi Tujhi Reshimgath’, set to premiere on 23 August.

    The show features actor Shreyas Talpade in the lead role, who will be making a comeback on Marathi television after 17 years. He is paired opposite actress Prarthana Behere in the show.

    “The dynamics of the entertainment industry are rapidly changing today,” said Talpade on his comeback. “There is nothing like a big screen or small screen, especially when one can watch films on their smartphones. So, as an actor, I can’t be extremely choosy with the medium. The idea is to stay connected with fans but I’m extremely happy to do a Marathi show after such a long gap from television. The plot of ‘Majhi Tujhi Reshimgath’ is very interesting and it’s going to win the audience’s hearts for sure.”
