    PTC announces new season of ‘Voice of Punjab Chhota Champ’

    Mumbai: The Pandemic has turned out to be a boon for young kids of Punjab who want to turn into singing superstars, thanks to PTC Punjabi. The channel’s reality show “The Voice of Punjab Chhota Champ” is back with the seventh season, which provided them the facility of auditioning online from the comforts of their home.  The seventh season of the biggest reality show for young and talented Punjabi singers is set to premiere on the Punjabi entertainment channel, PTC Punjabi, from 23 August at 8.30 p.m.  

    The new season of “Voice of Punjab Chhota Champ” is aimed to identify the best Punjabi singing talent in the age range of eight – fourteen years and promise to change the fate of little talented voices. Afsana Khan, Sachin Ahuja and Bir Singh are the main judges who are joined by a galaxy of Punjabi superstars including Miss Pooja, Mannat Noor, Jasbir Jassi, Master Salim, Kanwar Grewal, Singga, R Nait, Akhil, Khan Saab, Masha Ali, Kulwinder Billa, Happy Raikoti, Rupinder Handa, Gurshabad to select the best young singing star of Punjab.

    The ‘audition from home’ comfort makes this season more interesting and unique as it provides the opportunity for masses to participate from their home without going anywhere outside. One enter on mobile opened the doors for the budding stars to progress in their careers and claim the coveted title and earn name and fame. With the new concept, interesting segments and cutomised theme rounds are going to make this competition little tough for the little voices and interesting to watch for viewers, said the channel.

    “When these kids step in for auditions and first rounds they don’t know where to go, which door to open and which way to reach the studio. After the grand finale, people will be opening doors for them. Their lives will change forever and that is greatly satisfying to us,” said PTC Network, MD and president, Rabindra Narayan.

    The online registration of the show was opened in June 2021. And to make it easier and convenient for the participants, the channel made sure that the audition process is not hampered. The participants were asked to shoot a one-minute singing video and send it through WhatsApp, website or PTC play app. The growth of the contestants through the competition will be dependent on their performance during different rounds and the marks from the judges for their performances.

    SUN TV Network’s GEMINI TV and SURYA TV announce new content slate

    Mumbai : SUN TV Network is going in for a content refresh with respect to their Telugu GEC Channel GEMINI TV and Malayalam GEC Channel SURYA TV from 23 August onwards.

    Some of the biggest stars from the regional film industry are going host and be part of these shows, the network said in a media statement.

    GEMINI TV

    As a part of its 26th year celebrations, Gemini TV, SUN TV Network’s Telugu GEC Channel is all set to broadcast ‘Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu’ – Telugu version of the historic “Who Wants to be a Millionaire”, a show that was aired in 120 countries, elevated and changed the lives of many ordinary people. The show is set to launch on 23 August Monday-Thursday at 8.30 p.m and a special curtain raiser will air on 22 August at 8.30 p.m featuring Ram Charan as the special celebrity contestant.

    The show also has play along segment where the audience can participate and win about one lakh every day. Giving a sneak peek into the show, the network said, the host of ‘Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu’ NTR is someone who has a perfect blend of mass and class and is acclaimed as most versatile tolly wood star by the telugus’.

    GEMINI TV also is set to broadcast the popular international culinary reality show ‘Master Chef India’ in Telugu. The show launches on 27 August every Friday and Saturday at 8.30 p.m. It will be hosted by popular female lead Tamanna Bhatia along with three of the top chefs in India namely Chalapathi Rao, Mahesh Padal and Sanjay Thumma. The show would have 24 home cooks competing and the winner gets the coveted trophy of Master Chef – India- Telugu and a cash prize worth 25 lakhs to begin their journey with respect to their food dream.
    The above two big ticket shows will complete the 8.30-9.30 p.m. Monday to Saturday non-fiction time band.

    Apart from this GEMINI TV will also be launching two new fiction shows namely Sundari, Monday-Saturday at 8pm and Kaviyaanjali, Monday-Saturday at 9.30pm. Sundari is the story of an ordinary girl’s extraordinary journey and how she triumphs against all odds to achieve her dream. Kaviyaanjali is the story of two girls who are inseparable and the twist that happens to their relationship post marriage as they get wedded into the same household.

    In its endeavour to provide wholesome entertainment to the Malayali audience SURYA TV, SUN TV Network’s Malayalam GEC Channel is also launching a host of fiction and non-fiction shows from 23 August onwards.

    ‘Anchinodu Inchodinchu’ – Malayalam version of the successful international format show “ARE YOU SMARTER THAN A 5th GRADER”.The show has been a success across 65 countries and is being presented for the first time in Malayalam Television. The show is set to launch on 23 August onwards Monday-Wednesday at 8.30 p.m.

    The host of ‘Anchinodu Inchodinchu’ Suresh Gopi is no stranger to the malayali audience. With his towering personality and majestic baritone, he has been an immensely popular star for decades. He will present the show in his own unique style and is certain to enthral and entertain the audiences in Kerala, said the network.

    A host of celebrities have come as contestants in this show namely Kunchacko Boban, Innocent, Aju Varghese, Rimi tomy apart from others who have qualified basis the call for entry and interview process. The show promises to be a fun filled entertainment led game show and one can win a maximum of one crore rupees.

    The show also has play along segment ‘Family Play Time’ where the audience needs to download the Sun NXT app select Malayalam as the language click on the show poster and participate when the show is going on. A cash prize of 30 lakh rupees could be won by the audience.

    Surya TV will also showcase another non-fiction show  ‘Aram + Aram = Kinnaram’. The show launches on 26 August every Thursday and Friday at 8.30 p.m. Hosted by popular female lead Shweta Menon, the show has popular TV personalities split into two teams and are pitted against one another. The two teams consisting on the popular TV stars in Malayalam will perform song, dance and skit routines to compete with one another and be judged as the winner of this mega entertaining reality show. Malayalam Film Star Dileep has been a special guest for this show.

    The above two big ticket shows will complete the 8.30-9.30 p.m. Monday to Friday non-fiction time band. Apart from this SURYA TV will also be launching three new fiction shows Monday to Saturday on 23 August. Kanyadhanam, at 7pm, Manasinakkare at 7.30pm and Kaana Kanmani at 8 p.m Kanyadhanam is the story of a duty bound father and his five daughters. The relentless struggle of the father who is a widower and how he manages to go above and beyond to keep his daughters safe and happy.
    Manasinakkare is the story of two girls who are inseparable and the twist that happens to their relationship post marriage as they get wedded into the same household.

    Kaana Kanmani is the story of a daughter yearning for her father’s love and affection as she has been neglected considering as an unlucky charm.

    A 360-degree marketing blitzkrieg is being implemented that consists of innovative OOH, road shows for audience engagement, print, radio, television and digital push to reach out to the audiences across all markets in the respective states.

    Mumbai: Colors Gujarati has announced the launch of a new non-fiction game show called “Bolo Ketla Taka”. The show premieres on 21 August and will air on the weekends at 9 p.m.

    Produced by Master Stroke production, “Bolo Ketla Taka” will be anchored by RJ Kunal from Radio Mirchi and will feature more than 50 celebrities over the course of the show. It has been conceptualised keeping in mind the ethos and behavioural nuances of Gujarati audiences, said the channel.

    The show will have a general segment and an hour-long celebrity weekend. The special episodes will consist of interactive sessions with celebrities.

    Mumbai: In line with its aim of driving impact through journalism, the News18’s channels – News18 Madhya Pradesh / Chhattisgarh and News18 Rajasthan have announced two news campaigns – “Sabki Sehat, Sabse Zaroori” and “Paani ke Liye Parampara Bachao, respectively.

    “Paani Ke Liye Parampara Bachao” is a month-long campaign by News18 Rajasthan which calls attention to the problem of water scarcity and reminds people that the solution to this grave problem may be hidden in the past. As part of the campaign, the channel will urge people of the state to adopt several indigenous techniques for water conservation via this initiative.

    The campaign has already received support from all quarters including the state governor Kalraj Mishra, the union I&B Minister Anurag Thakur, the union MOS for Parliamentary Affairs, Arjun Meghwal, tate PHED minister Dr B.D Kalla and Jaipur Mayor Sheela Dhabai who came on-air in support of our cause, said the network in a media statement.

    “Sabski Sehat Sabse Zaroori” by News18 MadhyaPradesh / Chhattisgarh is another three to four weeks long campaign which aims to engage with key stakeholders to examine ways and means of strengthening the healthcare system of Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. The campaign will endeavour to highlight both the progress made as well as some gaps that remain in making quality healthcare available to all sections of society. It will also pick up the issue of the widespread prevalence of quacks in the state.     Mumbai: COLORS is bringing the iconic show “Sasural Simar Ka” to its regional GEC, COLORS Odia, repackaged as “Sasu Gharai Chalijibi” for the Odia audience. The show which entertained the audience for seven years, will premiere on the channel from 18 August airing every day at 6:30 p.m.

    Sasu Gharai Chalijibi is a family drama that revolves around the lives of two sisters from Puri, Simar (played by Dipika Kakar) and Roli (Avika Gor), who are respectively married to Prem and Siddhant, the sons of the Pattnaik family. The plot revolves around them becoming the perfect daughters-in-law by overcoming various difficulties that arise in front of the family.

    Mumbai: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd has unveiled its ambitious vision for the Bhojpuri market with the launch of ZEE Ganga. The new channel is a fresh avatar of its established channel Big Ganga with a complete rehaul of the content slate bringing the viewers a wide range of original content in Bhojpuri.

    The rebranding is in line with its objective of accelerating the category growth while advancing a revolutionary vision which envisages to create the content ecosystem and push the envelope of viewer gratification in the Bhojpuri market. 

    The rebranded entity, Zee Ganga will host a vibrant new logo, along with culturally rooted channel promise, ‘Har Pal Aviral’, bringing alive the innate unstoppable Bhojpuriya spirit. It emphasises on the core values it holds to entertain its audience and deliver happiness.

    ZEE Telugu to launch ‘Muthyamantha Muddu’ on 23 Aug

    Mumbai: ZEE Telugu is set to launch a new fiction show “Muthyamantha Muddu” on 23 August. The show will air every Monday to Saturday at 7:30 p.m on ZEE Telugu and its HD channel.

    The show’s cast includes Nisha Milana, Amani, and Siddharth in the lead. It also features Meghana Raami, Vasu, senior comedic actor Sri Lakshmi among others. The screenplay and dialogues of the show, written by Rasool, who has also scripted the channel’s hit show “Varudhini Parinayam”.

    The show is set in the backdrop of Nellore and tells the story of Geetha (played by Milana), a Tamilian who is rooted in her values and principles, but she is also a present-day, ambitious girl. On the other hand, Kanaka Ratnam (Amani) a stingy and sharp-tongued woman from a Telugu family, belongs to the old school of thought, is seeking a girl who can bring hefty dowry for her son Govind (Siddharth). However, Govind falls in love with Geetha. As Geetha and Kanaka Ratnam’s lives get interwoven and their ideologies clash, thus begins Geetha and Govind’s journey of discovering an enhanced life and relationships.

    Tollywood actor Krithi Shetty is associated with “Muthyamantha Muddu” as the brand ambassador. The creators of the show have launched a promo and title song featuring her to create buzz for the launch. The title song of the show sung by Jithin Raj and choreographed by Vijay Master and Sagar Narayana has penned the lyrics that have been composed by David Selvam.
